31  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Mario & Luigi 4: Dream Team on: April 18, 2013, 03:59:43 PM
I saw stuff on this a little while ago and am very excited. I never really got into any of the Mario & Luigi titles until Bowser's Inside Story. It was so ridiculous and clever, I couldn't put it down. I have a feeling this new game will be just like that. Silly concept with a super fun battle system. :)

The CE is up on gamestop.com! Just pre-ordered it, it will fit nicely next to the Ni No Kuni's Wizard's Edition^^

Meeeeee tooooooooo! I couldn't throw my money at them fast enough.

I may be able to pull off a solid Symphonia run if I can get my hands on my Wii again. My sister's a bit of a grubby whore about it, always saying it's hers even though I paid for half of it, and bought EVERYTHING she has for it. I did graces F well enough that I don't need to go back anytime soon.

Personally, I think I oughta re-do my Abyss run, got to the last third of the game and just got sidetracked in life. Sucks, was enjoying it immensely.

yes! Do that!! Abyss is fantastic!!

To be honest, I was preparing for a rerun of Vesperia or maybe Symphonia again finally. Knowing this is gonna be here in 4 months makes it easy to skip that for now.

I know I'm planning on replaying Graces...maybe. I'll have a few games to keep my busy in the mean time. I still gotta finish Ni No Kuni. Project X Zone isn't too far off either. Plus my back log of games that I'm yet to pick up again. Haha!

Dude, when it comes to Tales, anything we get is like a kiss from a pretty girl (boy if you swing that way). I'm always happy if I get it, I don't care when I get it as long as I get it, and if I don't get it, I just keep on trucking at this point, cuz dem ladies is flaky

..."cuz dem ladies is flaky". words to live by, my friend. words to live by. :)

And I'm kind of in the middle. I'm happy to know exactly when it's coming(hopefully), but I'm sad that I still have to wait a few months. I'm ready for this game and I've been ready since I finished Graces F over a year ago!
36  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of Xillia panel at WonderCon! on: April 01, 2013, 04:12:29 AM
The real question is: Did they butcher "Progress" with an English version, or are they keeping it in the original Japanese?

I'm pretty sure they said they are keeping the original song the way it is. :)

Oh it had them...and they were glorious. :)
38  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Tales of Xillia panel at WonderCon! on: March 30, 2013, 03:00:36 PM
Yesterday, I got the chance to sit in on the Tales of Xillia panel at WonderCon and even meet Hideo Baba! The panel showed off some new footage and even one of the fully voiced skits. (it was about Jude not knowing what Bazongas are. Haha!)

Pros to the panel: The voice actor who plays Jude was there and talked about working for the Tales Of franchise. There was a funny video from the actress who plays Milla, because she couldn't be there. :( I got to see a little bit of extra battle footage and watch the whole opening to the game on a huge screen around a bunch of people that are as big of Tales Of fans as me.

Cons to the panel: They still didn't announce an actual release date like I was hoping they would. The only "surprise" was that they are bringing Tales of Xillia figurines to North America. The panel just wasn't very long. And I didn't win the gift bag raffle which had A LOT of great things!!

All in all, it was completely worth it. I got Hideo's autograph and I even got to film a little interview for the Tales Of YouTube channel! All it did was build my anticipation even more for this game. :)
39  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Should I replay FFX or wait for the remake? on: March 30, 2013, 12:35:01 AM

The difference between this and a FFVII remake is like the difference between fixing up a car and building a whole new car from scratch from already existing blueprints.

Whelp, you got me there. I was somewhat proud of my analogy but yours puts it to shame. I guess I'm just a little bitter because I feel like the differences in graphics aren't significant enough to warrant a whole new release on the PS3 and Vita.

...but knowing me, I'll probably still get it. Haha!
40  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Should I replay FFX or wait for the remake? on: March 29, 2013, 02:25:06 AM
I'm not completely sold on this game. I really enjoyed FFX. But I don't believe it really needed to be re-done. I feel like this is time and energy that could be spent on much better things. Polishing up ALREADY 3D graphics is like tracing over a picture and everyone saying "ooooh, what a pretty picture!" I'm not trying to sound too negative, I'm just disappointed that they put so much money into remaking this when much better games like FF6 and FF7 are still yet to have a worth while remake.
41  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Sully: A very Serious RPG on: March 29, 2013, 02:17:33 AM
It looks cute! Whether it's fun or not is yet to be seen. At least I'm sure it'll be good for a few chuckles.
42  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Mind 0 is not Persona...er...well...maybe not... on: March 22, 2013, 12:08:37 AM
That character design is a liiiiiitle bit too close to Persona's for me.

You think?

HAHAHAH! Amazing.
43  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Annoying Moments in otherwise Great Games on: March 22, 2013, 12:04:06 AM
Final Fantasy 6: my finger slipping and agreeing to jump off the floating island before Shadow can make it back, sending that poor man to his death and being STUCK with a useless Relm and her now orphaned dog.
44  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Screw announcements, let's just release the game (Atelier Totori Plus) on: March 21, 2013, 11:59:49 PM
Soooo, help me out. I bought Atelier Rorona a while ago and I just never got around to playing it. I got it for a good deal, so I just grabbed it assuming I'd play it eventually. It has the same feel and graphics as my Tales Of games(at least the way the box looked). After reading up more on it, I became more and more skeptical about it.

My question is this: should I play it? Like, is it worth it? If so, I have a whole new series to get into and a Vita game to play so my poor Playstation Vita will stop gathering dust. But all the alchemy doesn't exactly sound fun to me. I like decent characters and stories and fun battles and pretty graphics. Spending most of the game finding items to make other items sounds.....iffy.

What's all your feedback on this predicament?
45  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Recommendations for RPGs on a PSPgo? on: March 15, 2013, 06:16:53 PM
So far, all the REALLY good ones have already been mentioned. But here's my opinion:

Trails in the Sky is great and needs the support so we can see the 2 sequels come state-side.

Persona 3 Portable is wonderful if you have 70+ hours to kill. Haha.

Riviera is a fun little short game.

Ys Seven was the best game I personally played on the PSP.

Final Fantasy 4: The Complete Collection if you want a BUNCH of great nostalgia.

And 2 turn based RPGs that I particularly enjoyed that weren't mentioned yet are Crimson Gem Saga(a fun, although pretty challenging game) and Hexyz Force(a fun and pretty damn easy game).

Yup, that's all I can come up with at the moment. I hope you find a good one! :)
