From the trailer it seems to have a darker vibe to it than P4 was. All that red and the breaking chains symbolism. But then again the next trailer could completely change all that.

I dunno. I dig it though.

P4 was hardly 'dark' game. As far as I remember it never reached some of the most dense moments P3 had.
Yup.  One of the reasons why P4 is so much better than P3.

I'm really intrigued by what the Persona team does with a dense cityscape as opposed to a country village.  Hopefully it actually "feels" dense and crowded as you travel through it.

And... I hope that I can stay spoiler-free on this one.  I really do.  I usually don't care about being spoiled by things, but I want to play Persona 5 early on mostly in the dark.  I'd like to hear some additional news about Persona 5's basic social and combat systems, and maybe blurbs and pics of the early cast.  Like, the P5 versions of MC, Junpei/Yosuke, and Yukari/Chie.  Three characters, three Personae, and some info on basic systems.  Then I'll try to black out any other P5 info I come across.

I don't know man, I find Persona 3 much better than Persona 4. I'd choose an apocalypse over an episode of Scooby-Doo any day.
Still I'm psyched that P5 is launching on PS4 now. They are going to get a lot more money as a result and...well I get to play it. HUZAH!

Don't forget, RPGs aren't the ONLY games out there man. There are a lot of great ones on the console, the recent port of Diablo 3 happens to be the best version of the game you can get. Infamous was indeed GREAT, and I actually got Skylanders and happen to be greatly enjoying it. The console has a lot to offer, and come October even more to offer. I love RPGS too, but if you really loved them you would get a Vita (if you don't already have one) or 3DS (if you don't already have one)

Beat the game last night at level 50. I went through it on Normal at first, but the game was such a joke. I eventually joined up with a buddy and we bumped the difficulty up to Hard, beat Diablo like he was nothing. Then bumped it up to Expert when we hit Act 5 and two other people joined. It devolved into absolute enjoyable chaos. Eventually everyone ditched so I left it on expert and fought Maltheal. I heard stories about that dude being difficult, but I killed him with one try. Probably because Crusader is hilariously overpowered.

I am well aware that this is not an rpg. I edited my original post 2 seconds after finishing it to clarify that posting it here was an accident, and asked the mods to move it...

So what is P.T.??

A short horror playable horror teaser. It is meant to be horrifying and succeeds on all fronts. Although it does have some stupid ass puzzles. The gameplay is very much you just walking around. Every now and again you have to press a button, but it is mainly just walking around staring at different things.

I think Kojima is starting to have problems with grammar. First Ground Zeroes now Silent Hills. Can't wait for the Phantom Pains and whatever else Hideos freaking Kojimas wants to do next.

Okay I feel like this game needs to be talked about because....GOOD GOD. For those of you that haven't played it, PLAY IT. If you don't own a PS4...Buy one. This one hour demo is the best thing on the console. Seriously. Its free, its amazing, and I really don't wanna spoil the surprise for anyone who hasn't beaten it yet, although I suppose everyone has read about it by now. This is the first game to make me feel genuine fear since Silent Hill 2 back in the day. The final reveal was the icing on the cake. I haven't felt such atmosphere for years, and even when a jump scare happens, it doesn't feel completely cheap, it was built up to perfectly. The fact that most of the fear comes from the slower moments is so great. Seriously PLAY IT!

Edit: I am so freaking sorry, I could have sworn I posted this in miscellaneous games, could a mod please move it? Sorry again.

Well one game you should definitely check out is Half-Life 2. I would recommend HL1 but it hasn't aged as well. There is a remake of the game that is really good though. Half Life 2 is probably one of the best FPS games around, and could very well reach towards being one of the best games of all time. IMO at least. Seriously though, try it.

I am really pumped to be getting this on PS4 next month! The fact that it comes with the expansion already is a great deal, not to mention I heard the game is vastly improved from initial release. Tell me, are the classes still pretty straightforward when it comes to building them? I remember having linear skill selection paths and that irked me a bit.

Unfortunately I'm not going to pay my subscription for awhile. Waaay to many games coming that interest me, and the game has been losing my attention for awhile. If I get the bug I'll pick up a time card again.

The sad thing is, I think the PVP is supposed to be what makes the game last, if the content leak was a real thing. If so, this game just went from lasting ten years for me, to lasting a couple months. Really disappointed in the multiplayer side. Hopefully they do treat it like an MMO and we get free content updates, but chances are we are going to have to dredge out the money for the expansions.

I don't know, the Titan has that epic punch that feels SOOO good. Just walk into a level one area and start punching away, and the enemies go flying. I also found an area I didn't know about in the beta, The Grottos. Not to mention I broke the game last night, escaped the map! Fun times.

Dood. I wish these damn things would have been available on launch day. Kind of a slap to the face for anyone who bought day one. "Love your PS4 kids?" Yeah! "Thanks for buying it! For anyone else, here is this ten times better looking one!" Sony. Assholes. I did greatly enjoy the alpha, except for the Crucible. Anyone that is saying that it is the return of oldschool Halo needs to get their brains checked. Its the return of Halo Reach and Halo 4 multiplayer. More COD influences in the multiplayer than Halo influences.

Finally finished ALBW last night, amazingly enough it was the second Zelda I ever beat, and the first was two days before that, and that was OOT. A Link to the Past was the first Zelda I ever played, so ALBW hit all the right notes for me, and was simply freaking amazing. When I was playing OOT I wasn't having very much fun at all. The story was actually surprisingly surprising, and the music and graphics were freaking FANTASTIC. The only problems I had with the game were heart pieces being locked behind Mini-Games. Especially the baseball and Hylian foot race ones.

The painting mechanic was well used for the most part, aside from a few problems I had with it. The dungeons felt creative and fun aside from the fact that they were all mostly based on one or two tools. I also never, EVER, EEEVER used that boomerang once. Not once. It was useless. This game has gotten me really pumped for Zelda U. I really hope they don't call it that.

I think Sony's Conference was probably the best of the day. EA's was definitely the worst. Microsoft came at a close third, but the Rainbow Six Siege gameplay just made me squeal in excitement. The highlights of Microsoft's was the Sunset Overdrive gameplay for sure! That game looks awesome, and it helps that I am a huge Insomniac fan. It was a really tight conference, but I was never surprised or totally excited. Sony's got me pumped for LBP 3, The Order, and Uncharted 4. Overall 2015 looks like it'll be a good year for all gamers. Edit: Also the Master Chief Collection excites the Halo fan in me! I'm excited for some Halo 2 multiplayer!
15  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Watch Dogs or How Yoda Gets to Work. on: June 02, 2014, 10:53:36 PM
I'm starting to enjoy the game more. The story is picking up and Aiden is becoming more likeable during every encounter with his sister. Still wish he would drop the voice thing though. He seems to drop it when he gets mad or worried, so it apparently isn't THAT important he use the voice. This game has the same problem as Assassin's Creed since Brotherhood. They pack a whole lotta meaningless side stuff into the game to distract you, but a lot of it isn't fun. Watch underscore Dogs (as the video game case says) does a little better with this though, because there are a lot of fun activities you can do. Its just that the game has a hard time connecting them to much of anything going on.

I also have a hard time believing Aiden to be a hero, especially right after I make him steal money from a suicide survivor, blood donor, and recovering alcoholic. I also kind of went on a murder spree for a trophy, so that doesn't help me get closer to him at all.
