Not surprised, just annoyed. I knew there wouldn't be any, I'm just trying to find games to keep me occupied. I'm halfway through Vesperia now, then I need to find another one.

For launch on PS4? Yeah there is a lack. Even when TGS hits and they announce new rpgs, it will still take awhile beyond the launch window for them to be localized.

super mario games for example. I think the only mario game I ever played for story as much as gameplay is Super Mario RPG.

Mario games have stories?

You guys are crazy, I avoid spoilers like the plague.  I can't imagine getting the same appreciation out of something like Spec Ops: The Line if you already knew the ending.  It would ruin the whole experience.

I know the ending of Spec Ops, and just the other day I played until chapter 4 and enjoyed it. Its the journey that matters, not the destination. Everybody knows the ending to the Sixth Sense, and it still a good movie.

Also, anyone else getting sick of the swimming in this game? Its not fun, but I think that might be the point of it. At the same time, I can't see what they put so much of it into the game. I generally dislike water, sewer, swamp levels in video games, and this one isn't doing a good job of convincing me that they are great to have in games.

I usually do end up spoiling things for myself like I did for Bioshock Infinite. This time I'm letting the game take me for the ride, so I can decide which approach I like better. Knowing the ending, or not.

I've heard lots of people not having glitches and some having them. I haven't had a glitch since the beginning of the game, so there's that. I didn't have any problem handling the first Bloater, my main problem is that the game has been pushing me to not go in guns blazing, and then ask me to go in guns blazing. That is completely different from how I had been playing the game thus far, and it was really jaring. It was good that I had been playing stealthily up until that point or I wouldn't have had the materials to take that thing down.

Yeah I just got done with the sniper section. I really did enjoy the suburbs up until that point, mainly because of the quiet moments, and even when I was running up to the sniper house, it was very fun. Then the sniping. I don't care who you are, sniping a bunch of dudes with no challenge isn't fun. The hotel has been my favorite place so far, mainly because of how open it is.
Even the bloater fight in the basement was fine, because I totally just ran passed him.

I got all the way past that last year's E3 demo. This game is great, and I love it, but it does NOT deserve over 50 god damn perfect scores so far. I would have given it a 9.5 at best. I hate when games that really push hiding and running away, suddenly make you kill everything, like when you fight your first bloater. Its damn ridiculous, and was one of people's common faults with Deus Ex:Human Revolution, but since this is Naughty Dog, they get a pass? Oh, not to mention the many glitches I ran into, like the second cutscene taking 5 minutes to load, the ground disappearing beneath me, and the voices not appearing in said cutscene that took 5 minutes to load. It also happened in a few other places too.

Combat is fun though. I also love how much of a dirty mouth Ellie has. Troy Baker is unrecognizable as Joel, except when he breaks his southern accent. Great game so far.

Considering the protagonist usually is blank slate to project yourself upon. I don't see why you don't have a choice.

Now that I've gotten a chance, I've played KH Dream Drop Distance, and that game has annoying controls. I do like the flowmotion system, it really spices up combat, and I hope it returns in 3. The story still is a pain though.

Ah then I'm set. Just need one of them ps3 things.

If you don't mind spoilers.

They recently did a feature on GT that pretty much explains the ENTIRETY of KH as it currently exists.

Helps cut through some of the thickness that might drive off newcomers. Honestly I've only played KH I and II and relied on that video to get me up to date. XD

Still a little hard to wrap your head around even with the video.

Man Tractor Beam in Vesperia is a life saver. I was having trouble with that bat boss in the caves, so I switched to Rita based on guide advice, and got him. After two tries. Couldn't get all of them caught in the blast radius the first time.

So, since I really like this game, I will eventually get Tales of Xillia. Any chance of that being a game released on PS4 when the streaming is available? PS4 has a lack of RPGS I've noticed.

I kind of grew up with this series, but never actually completed it. I was one of those kids who'd copy his brother's save to get farther in the game. The last one I played was Birth By Sleep. I got near the end of one of the storylines, but a boss just kept handing me my ass so I walked away. 358/2 Days is actually one of my favorites. That is mainly because the story is really great, and I loved seeing the relationship grow between the main characters. I also really enjoyed the battle system, involving decks and what not.

Sadly the game isn't going to be the full version in the HD Remix, its just the cutscenes. Which is pretty good I guess, considering I really, really enjoyed the story, and you already get two other games in the set.

Chain of Memories is a little odd TBH, but I enjoyed what I played. Have the original gameboy version. KH2 has the best combat in the series in my opinion, and my favorite worlds.

KH1 has my personal favorite story for me. Sora's journey to find his friends really hit home with my 7 year old self. Either way though, the overaching story for the series is really, really, really convoluted. Get the first HD re-release because it comes with Re: Chain Of Memories and the 358/2 movie, which both will lead really well into KH2. At least you won't have the "wait, wut?" moment at the beginning of KH2.

I want this to be the return of the Playstation 2 way, ya know?

The gameplay looks much improved from the original trailer. Anyone else getting any sort of Romeo and Juliet vibe from the story so far?
