Played through the demo and stopped after beating the first boss. The game is probably a lot more artificially difficult than it has to or should be but it does put in some interesting ideas. Ki pulsing is basically active reloading for melee attacks and once you get the hang of it, it feels quite cool. I really like the stance changing and the kind of meta stuff that brings as well as switching your move set on the fly. Support the decision for the diablo style loot system too, enemies exploding like pinatas feels good and it's nice to have any way for people to progress so they don't feel like they're slamming their heads into a brick wall that is a tough encounter or boss over and over again.

Downsides, there's a lot to be worried about in the game too. Hopefully there'll be more weapon types than just hammer, axe, sword, spear. Yeah, too many weapon types might make the skill tree too big but they really should take advantage of the japanese setting and give us some more unique weapons and not the same old weapon types, kusarigama'd be cool. Also, enemies do crazy damage in this game, combined with the huge bonus damage to hitting peoples backs, a lot of enemies can one shot you in the beginning of the demo. Yeah if you grind a bit to get some better equips you'll actually be able to take a few hits but the difficulty curve in the beginning's quite brutal.

One last thing, did they confirm there'll be PVP in this game? or will the fight peoples ghosts system be the only interaction with others?

Main problem with pvp in the division is it's usually a very lopsided affair, the way damage is calculated and how good armor is sees to that. If a persons gear is better than yours in the dark zone they might literally kill you in a split second and you might do almost no damage to them. Gear in Destiny pvp does matter, but damage mitigation is not that effective and I've never run into a situation where I felt like I had no chance. I feel the Falcon Lost stuff isn't very good, going to take a break from Division for awhile until the next updates comes.

well, got to the end of the game, pretty much just doing dailies and farming phoenix credit now. The rank 50 dark zone grind is too real right now, hopefully they add more endgame PVE stuff in. Right now some of the challenging mode stages are incredibly hard while others are only moderately difficult.
This games combat-loop is really good, just hoping for more weapon/enemy/environment types eventually. It also gets a lotta bonus points from me since I live in new york and seeing faithfully recreated landmarks is really cool.
 If people need a run through some of the instances jus lemme know.

it's a homonym for death in chinese too. But seriously, I just feel we're reaching that point where completing the pokedex has become an impossible task and I'm not sure I can remember all the pokemon anymore. The games are still fun of course, but they need to at least up the story this time. The X and Y plot were so nothing, and throw in an immortal huge guy and completely ignore the implications of his existence.

fun facts, there is a final fantasy tactics style infinite CP glitch. Also, been rerolling crafting thiefs anklet for like an hour trying to get absorb ap and hp on it, that item makes casting classes so much better.

deflect is love, deflect is life. It's important to the point I put it on a lot of other melee classes even though it takes up double load. There are some attacks later on that you can't deflect though.

Just beat odin with a friend, the later eidolan fights get pretty hard. I like how enemies get more attacks as the difficulty goes up. If anyone wants to add me in game, my friend code is 3153 3339 9604. It has a cool system where you can send your friends characters off to gathering quests and stuff.

I would say open the packs and build a deck as soon as you get out of the tutorial. I managed to finish the PVE campaign so far and some of the later dungeons are quite hard. Also to prevent you from just using a completely optimal deck from the beginning of the campaign, they limit how many copies of each card you can have in your deck and slowly as you level the restrictions lift.

that last battle was pretty clutch, if you didn't hit that unblockable spider you would've died. Also, thanks for the stuff. There'll eventually be co-op content out and I hope we'll have some people playing when that happens.

Anyone get this game for 3DS? Started it last night and there are a lot of interesting mechanics in this game. In fact, I expected this game to be a lot simpler. The grind is pretty real but with a full team it's looking like a very engaging time.

A lot of games have that one monster or equip that makes the game a breeze when you have them, not sure you can balance a game completely when you have so many possibilities, it's ff tactics syndrome. Oh man, I remember Chichu in FF 13-2, that thing killed the final boss by itself while the boss was busy air comboing me. Ni no Kuni 2 might actually be better off making it turn based completely, the monsters wandering around on their own sometimes led to them making some poor decisions. Glad some signs of life for the vita, I am planning to get the new gundam extreme vs on it. Really annoyed Yakuza 5s ps3 only, too lazy to pull mine back out.

The non-turn based thing for FF7 brings up a lotta questions about how skills and summons are gonna work now. It also brings up the interesting possibility of now different limit breaks can be useful in different situations now whereas instead of just which one does the most damage.

The first Ni no Kuni was ok, it's just quite long for a modern jrpg. Also the pathfinding for your creatures were a pain at time. The soundtrack was extraordinary though. The new SF 5 character looks hilarious, although it's pretty weird to think that Bison replaced Sagat with this guy. Hopefully the first ace combat game in a long time isn't VR only. Wonder if they'll make any big changes to the FF7 plot, is chrono triggering Aeris back a possibility?
