there's some semi-frequent technical hiccups on ps4, it might just be me for expecting it to be as polished as dragon age inquisition though. Also the inventory managing can be quite clunky later, especially if you end up hoarding stuff fallout 3 style.

The ace system in srw adds a bunch of flavor to the characters too and the original pxz lacks a lot of that as well. It's hard to explain, it just needs more polish and detail. But seeing as I don't think it's all that big a title it probably won't get that. Best AG conversation of srw z3 so far is the scene you get with AG when you get Shinji to an ace and they parody the congratulations, congratulations, congratulations scene of the anime.

it could potentially be a good game if they just made some of the systems more complex, any of them. The level up system, equip system and combo systems are just so basic. Playing SRW z3.2 right now and while the combat is fire emblem style and I find myself skipping animations more often than not, the distributing stat points to pilots and upgrading mech stats just add so much depth to the game. Maybe they could add an ace style system to the game, giving each character a unique bonus once they reach a certain amount of kills.

if you only kill the bosses you need to end the game for ng plus, the second run only takes like 2 or so hours. I just killed the chalice boss and just missing the ending trophies for platinum.

they need to spice up the combat somehow, or just make it full fire emblem style and let you skip animations. That and not have a million enemies every battle. I'm on like stage 30 something in the original but just lacked the willpower to finish it. On the bright side, I'm very surprised they put the yakuza characters in it, but that's pretty cool.

For the visceral attacks you have to shoot once they start their windup animations. Keep in mind though that only certain attacks can be countered and some enemies can't. For example Father G you shoot as soon as you see him start the attack with the sparks on the ground.

Ah, so it's when you see them winding up and it's only some attacks too. That makes sense now. There were times where my gun attack would do a lot of damage and sometimes it wouldn't. I couldn't tell if the extra damage was coming from the counterattack or if an enemy just happened to be weak against gun attacks. Thanks for the tip.

you'll kno you got it right when you see them get stunned for a bit, you haveta quickly run up to them and press R1 for the visceral attack. I'm not sure whether the actual gunshot does more damage though. Note that after you do it, the game will cancel your lock-on to the enemy, no idea why it does that.

played this game for like 16 hours over the last two days. Really like the more aggressive approach to combat, the fact that there's no longer a block means you can't just sit back with your shield up to wait for an opportunity anymore. Also love the mechanic where if you damage them fast enough after you get hit, you regain some health. Kind of wish eventually they'll make a game with actual co-op without waiting 5 minutes to summon your friends, but I guess that's not the focus of this game.

pre-purchased and made it through episode 1. Enjoying it thus far and there's actually couch co-op which is kinda weird. Raid mode currently is only offline but once all the eps come out I think there's a lot of fun to be had there.Also, Moira has some of the most bizarre lines of dialogue, even for an RE game.

was deciding one whether to get tengoku hen for vita or ps3 since though I'm too lazy to plug my ps3 back in anymore but there's the clear bonuses. Well, it doesn't seem like the bonuses are that big so I guess I'll just get it for Vita. I really want them to bring back the Z1 squad system, it let them have that huge cast of characters and the formations thing was cool.

new patch came out today, mainly with the higher rarity level and quite some class changes. Demon hunters marauder 6 set got a huge nerf, and a buff to monks sun wuko set has me back to lightning spec. Also new legendary gems. Guess I'm back to grinding rifts for a bit before the new season starts.

yeah the twist with blackwall kinda came outta nowhere, but it did explain a lotta stuff and I quite like it. Also, new multiplayer dlc dropped, haven't noticed too much different besides the wild animals roaming around.

Actually really liked Evil Within. Though I tended to overthink a lot with the boss fights thinking there was a special gimmick or something, when in reality they all boiled down to just shooting them a ton. Also, some of the trap gimmicks were super annoying.

The idea of more Theatrythm style games is cool, even though I don't really know any music from the dragon quest games besides the main theme and level up sound. Capcom needs to steal this idea quick and just make a game of megaman/megaman x/ megaman .exe music, they need the moneys.

Curious to see how many people are excited for Final Fantasy Explorers, I'm pretty hyped for a 3DS game I can play online with people. But it seems from japanese reviews people are kinda disappointed with it as it doesn't have as much content as one expects from a monster hunter game.

I got the dragon trophy glitch on my first run and loading save and killing the dragon again did fix it. It is kinda dumb this got through testing but ah well, it's not super gamebreaking. Still playing multiplyer for the weekend event and it might be just me but it seems they way raised the drop rate on armor in multiplayer.

so Capcom Cup was this past Saturday and they actually had a playable build of Street Fighter 5 there. 2 of the capcom employees did a little exhibition match. If you haven't seen it yet here's the vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_1RA12QEc0 . It's really early since this game is set to come out in 2016 but there are a lot of really cool new animations, excited to find out more if there's some kind of elemental activation system in this game. Also, there was a teaser shown that may possibly imply zombie Charlie may appear in SF 5.
