The demo unsold me on the game.
Having at least part of the game on an ice planet gives it a definite The Thing vibe. But it was just sooooo by the numbers, and none of the tweaks feel like improvements, and the way the setting was used just wasn't as cool as being out in space. Oh, and enemies have guns now? I don't know, I see where it's going and I just can't bring myself to care, which sucks because this was one of the few games this year I wanted to buy.

Man, Twin Perfect are obnoxious unfunny assholes. Any time I feel like I kind of agree with them about something it feels awful, because I'm basically agreeing with the dregs of humanity.

I think this game is better than DMC4. I don't think the actual fighting is quite on the same level, but I like just about every other aspect of it more. And yes, I'm even throwing in the dialogue and story too. As a whole package it's just behind DMC3 as my favourite DMC game.
And yes, I will expand on that later.

I love that their photo for the article is a full shot of Sean Combs with only the top of Dre's head making an appearance the background. On another note; Dre got super buff this past decade. That totally took me by surprise.

Yeah, I used to have a couple of those when I worked at a trade job. I couldn't imagine sucking down sodas or iced tea if I was thirsty, and it's way cheaper than buying drinks every day.

The new DMC looks fun, especially with the last full trailer they released. I feel like Ninja Theory have always been close to making something really good, and I'm hoping this game will be it. The stink that arose when the first trailer was released made me feel genuinely bad for being a fan of the series. I sometimes like to forget how entitled people can be, but following that game made it hard to ignore.
I'm totally fine with most DLC. I'm also generally not someone who buys it. I bought a 360 about a year after it came out, and in that time I've bought maybe 2 pieces of DLC. It's pretty rare that I've felt like a game was incomplete and needed DLC to finish it off. The only stuff I generally agree with is that Capcom are being really weird about it for their fighters. I've stopped myself from buying any of the recent ones I've seen around for cheap because I honestly didn't know at the time if I was buying the most complete versions or not. I think that's a genuine problem.
Also; agent dude, your door rant sounds crazy to me, and your follow up posts seems just as worrisome. I think counselling could be really beneficial for you.

I'm not ignoring anything I'm just saying a lot of these games aren't marketed correctly or at all. Shadows of the Damned (and pretty much every other Suda51 game) was just shoved on shelves and EA expected it to sell that way. I don't really know all the ins and outs of how the EA partners program works, but I've heard that they're fairly strict about how much money is spent on each project. As I understand it; Grasshopper worked on the game for a considerable amount of time, and there just wasn't much left in the budget to get the game the kind of promotion they wanted. I guess EA just wants to cut they're losses after sinking so much money into projects that didn't pay off. I think they knew Shadows of the Damned wasn't going to be a big enough hit to make up for it's long development, so they concentrated on just getting the game out there.
