31  Media / General Games / Re: LA Noire on: May 23, 2011, 01:02:24 PM
God damn, this game is fantastic. It really is an adventure game with the occasional action sequence mixed in, which makes it feel completely different from the other Rockstar games I've played (yeah yeah, it's a Team Bondi game. But Rockstar helped it's development and published it, and it definitely feels like it a game they had a hand in making). I get a kick out of searching places for evidence and interviewing people, and so far the cases have been awesome. I guess they're connecting the homicide cases together, which should be interesting.

I love how mean and dirty this city is. I love that Cole's strong sense of justice is being challenged more and more the further up the food chain he goes. I'm really interested to see how it all plays out.

Exercise and drawing.
33  Media / The Soundroom / Re: In the spirit of the best of 2010, what are some of your favorite albums of 2010 on: April 26, 2011, 10:43:13 AM
Sleigh Bells – Treats

My personal favourite of 2010. It’s hard to explain why; it’s just got a level of energy in it that no other album I’ve got has. It’s perfect to run to. I just can’t stop listening to it. I also know its abrasive as hell, and I imagine most people would be turned off it pretty quickly.

Das Racist – Sit down man & Shut up dude

These guys released two mix tapes last year and I really enjoyed both of them. Shut up dude is easily my favourite of the two though.

Kanye West – My Beatuiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

It’s nice that a mainstream artist like Kanye is so determined to grow as an artist. He’s still pretty average as a rapper, but his production skills are fantastic.

Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot: The son of chico dusty

An amazingly fun album. So many catchy singles. It’s sad that his solo work hasn’t gotten anywhere near the attention that Outkast did.

I bought the DS version a day before I saw it on XBL.

Ah well, I hear they've improved the gameplay a bit and it would be nice to play it in HD, but I'll stick with the DS version for now. I'm really interested in playing it though.

I love the Beastie Boys, but I'll admit I haven't been following them closely over the past few years. I'll be getting this for sure.
36  Media / General Games / Re: Catherine from Persona team on PS360 on: December 04, 2010, 11:01:16 PM
I'd be surprised if they ported it to the 360 and didn't bring it over here.
37  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Nier on: October 26, 2010, 07:56:40 PM
Oh god. Don't start that crap.

Y'know, Nier is one of the best games I've played this year. I love it. But even I can understand why a critic would give it a mediocre score.
38  Media / General Games / Re: Castlevania - Lords of Shadow on: October 26, 2010, 02:23:19 PM
I don't understand why you'd get all angry at people liking certain types of games. People like what they like.

I know I'm more interested in Fallout: New Vegas than this. Not that it sounds like a bad game or anything, I just haven't really heard anything about it that's piqued my interest.

My review:

This is a good game. Thoren should try the demo.

4 stars.

This game is pretty great. Love the dialogue, the art style and the general idea of trick or treating and using different costumes as classes. It helps that the gameplay is pretty varied so far. I can imagine it getting repetitive later on, and combat seems is reeaaaaaaaaly basic and easy, but at this stage I'm enjoying it.

Man, this game is awesome. I feel a little bad I put it off this long.
42  Media / General Games / Re: Nintendo 3DS - Feb 26 - Y25,000/$260-$300, Megaman Legends 3 for 3DS also on: September 29, 2010, 09:00:32 AM
The way I see it; getting Mega Man Legends on 3DS is probably the only way we can get Mega Man Legends. Inafune has wanted to do this for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages right? And it's only now that the game is being made.

I'll take portable Mega Man Legends 3 over no Mega Man Legends 3.
43  Media / General Games / Re: Bioshock Infinite on: September 21, 2010, 03:17:23 PM
FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK

Well, I'm sold. It was so guided that I do wonder how it will actually play when I'm the one controlling the action, but they threw so much cool stuff out there in such a short period of time that it gave me chills.
44  Media / General Games / Re: New Devil May Cry, bitches. on: September 20, 2010, 08:21:00 PM
I did. It was great.
45  Media / General Games / Re: New Devil May Cry, bitches. on: September 20, 2010, 06:47:52 AM
he was just a douche bag with cheesy one liners.

Exactly, he's perfect. Give me another 5 games of Dante surfing on bad guys while chowing down on pizza and I'll be a happy guy.
