I bought 'Book of Shadows' today.

The Zakk Wylde obsession continues...

I played up to around 35% completion and it was entertaining for a while but, yeah, much like GTA it gets old after a while.  Personally, this type of game can't hold my attention for more than a few days. I got tired of Saints Row and San Andreas also before I reached 50%

I'm playing the PSU demo lately and it seems pretty good so far.  I found some helpful people early on who gave me pointers on weapons and such and even went so far as to give me some cash to get started.  It brings back fond memories of PSO for the Dreamcast but I doubt i'll be subscribing due to lack of extra money:(

Also been trying to get back into Vagrant Story but 'Snowfly Forest" is just a huge headache to me:P

Trivium - The Crusade

I don't care what anyone says, i'm really liking this disc.  It's totally different from their other stuff.  It's got an old-school Metallica flavor to it I suppose.

I picked up MK: Armageddon yesterday.  The Konquest mode is improved over the previous attempt and the Motor Kombat is mildly entertaining for a while.  The 60(ish) playable characters give this one a lot of life and the Create a Fighter is really cool and in-depth. My favorite thing though is the new make your own fatality.  You can get like a 10-chain fatality which is pretty sweet if u ask me.  Other than that it's basically the same but with some minor improvements over the core fighting mechanics.

btw, The Krypt stuff you can unlock is not nearly as good as in the previous games and I kind of miss the puzzle and chess kombat mini-games.
2227  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Phantasy Star Universe X360 open beta on: October 10, 2006, 07:10:59 PM
Sweet, i'm going to get the beta for sure. Don't know if i'll shell out for the monthly fee afterwards though.  Anyone have any idea how big the file is going to be for the download?

A friend of mine thought it would be a good idea to bring over her copy of DDR: Supernova Friday night so needless to say I danced my ass off for a few hours.  Saturday morning, however, my legs were a bit stiff...at first.  The rest of the day I was in horrible pain and could barely walk.  Just goes to show that I need more exercise.  That game is the shit though I must say.  Played it for a few hours again on Sunday.

Yikes, that's gnarly!  I don't know about the rest of you but female body-builders in general just freak me out. I'll have none of it.

And yes, there's something wrong there..
2231  The Rest / General Discussions / Pay people to raise your X360 GamerScore! on: October 04, 2006, 05:06:30 PM
I don't really give a rat's ass about the achievments.  I've had my 360 for almost a year and I don't think I've topped 6000 pts. yet.  I don't see what the fuss is about.  Maybe for some people, it's a cool incentive or whatever but paying someone to do it for you...uh, that's kinda mental.

I bought the new "Best Of" Sepultura today. I might get the new Norma Jean this weekend...maybe.

That all sounded like some kinda weird 'Half-Life' shit to me.  They really shouldn't be fucking around with things they have no clue about.

Man, Valkyrie Profile 2 requires a lot of levelling up just to get some coin to upgrade everyone's equipment.  It's a great game but I find myself returning to town constantly to buy potions and gear.  Also, Test Drive unlimited is really fun too since it's MMO style with people just cruising around looking to race(or just being bastards and tailing you everywhere you go). Currently saving up for a Lamborghini:)

I watched Clive Barker's 'NightBreed' today. I haven't seen this movie in YEARS and it was pretty corny but cool regardless.  I don't rember that movie being set in Alberta though....
