Here in the UK generally you see your doctor then get referred as appropriate.

^ it's all so much simpler when you aren't forced to go bankrupt for an anxiety disorder, isn't it?

I haven't seen a specialist in c. 10 years because it's either not covered by insurance or if it is "covered" my out of pocket deductible is still $6,000

I honestly applaud you for trying to use it all and not just throwing it out

How is a keyboard not being originally intended to play games on me?

Outside of a laser replacing the tracball, you're using basically the same interface that people used on DARPA networks in the 70's.  Nope, not even the slightest bit unwieldy 45 years later...

Everything that Aeolus said is 10 times more true for Ys games.  They are a nightmare with "wasd".

You keep driving that backfitted riding lawn mower and I'll stick to my sports car.

I've been using m/k for strategy games for 20 years and if there was a viable option to use a controller for something like europa barbarorum 2 I would snap people's hands off for it.

I liked torchlight 2 infinitely better with a controller than I did fumbling with a M&K. Same with Diablo.  The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing half the time.  You're not constantly fighting the damned thing with a controller.

It's the difference between using a tool that was designed specifically for something vs using a device retrofitted to make due.

Just got into a spat with a patron because she forgot her calculator that she needed to take an online assessment test and it's obviously my fault that the calculator program on our (and literally every) computer isn't "scientific" enough for what she needs.

That being said, if you're planning on playing Ys Origin on the PC/Steam, for the love of god, get yourself a controller. Trying to fumble around with that one boss on a keyboard, even on Normal, is going to be a nightmare.

My god this. M&K is a blight upon gaming to begin with, but I have no idea how they expected anyone to accomplish anything without a controller.

1. Fable II (17 hours)
2. The Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky (75 hours)
3. The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild (127 hours)
4. Shoot1Up (45 minutes)
5. FF IX  (45 hours)
6. Ys Origin (17 hours) - This series never misses.  At least not since the PSP era.
7. Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles - I'd thought this game was a bit easy... until I got to Dracula... particularly his 3rd form. Richter is awesome and I'm glad I finally finished the lead in to the greatest game in the series.
8. Suikoden (30 hours) - Can't believe I never gave this series a chance... straight on to Suikoden II...

Well I HAVE a Switch and I don't even like Xenoblade, so we're both in a bind.

How much to buy yours?

I will trade you it for a 2000 Isuzu Amigo. Hard Top.

because my face is awful and needed covering, (outside of a burka), growing a beard was the most sensible way for me to keep it permanently obscured.  The rest of the world should be thankful I have to decency to keep that disaster under a wall of hair.

^ it's sort of an inside joke how bad Adol's luck is with ships.  I think they allude to it at the beginning of Celceta.

Suikoden - I only picked this up as a prelude to playing SII.  It's entertaining enough (I haven't been bored with it once), but also fairly nondescript. I'm right before what I assume is the final battle (28 hours) and I have something like 90 stars and I don't care enough to try and go back for any more.  I'll watch the true-gushy-lala ending on YouTube after I'm done.

I had a cyst on my back. I've never been more grossed out by my own body.

there is never an inappropriate time to blurt out the word ganglion
