1) Doom and Destiny -  stop #1 on my "Xbox360 Retirement Tour" was stupid and rote and most of the jokes were offensive.  Oh well. On to the next one.

Finished the Trotsky bio. Spoiler - he gets axed to death in Mexico.  Shocking I know.

On to Metal Floss' History of the World (which is about as "light" as a survey of 6000 years of civilization can get).

Reading a pretty decent biography on Trotsky.  I need to check out some primary sources to be sure (I'm terrible at reading primary sources), but he seems a lot more reprehensible than I had originally believed.

Unfortunately, I was 7 when it came out and I had to throw a shitfit to even get my parents to buy me a SNES.  Then by the time I was old enough to afford a Sega CD it was already too expensive.

I'm sure my experience is not unique.

finally found Lunar 1 and 2 complete for a reasonable price!

I let them go for nothing 10+ years ago and have had an itch to get back into them for the last month.

It's too bad going the Sega CD route is cost prohibitive because I've never played those versions.

The motor mount on my car is cracked.  Or at least I think that's what is wrong with it.  I'm going to have a professional look at it on Monday and then replace it myself if that's what it turns out to be.  I don't feel like ripping my coolant reservoir out and then putting it back in in this cold if I don't have to.

Octopath Traveler might be the only game I buy in 2018 period.

Outside of the art direction (which is superb), I have no idea why anyone likes Ni No Kuni.  It was impossibly boring.

I've been playing Mass Effect (the original).  I've finished one playthrough, and I'm partway into my second.  I'm enjoying it, I suppose...but I'm a bit underwhelmed.

ME1 is, by a sizeable margin, the most inferior Mass Effect title.

go play 2

^or, having already seen it, they wanted to dork out with you over incredibly minor plot details and were so despondent that you hadn't gotten around to watching it yet that they couldn't bring themselves to admonish you for it.
