Thanks for the in-depth coverage. I'm definitely going to get this ASAP. :)

Re-reading through the original six volumes of Dune by Frank Herbert. At this moment, I'm just about finished with Heretics of Dune and only have Chapterhouse Dune to go. I always feel I pick up on something new every time I read, making me wonder 'Why didn't I noticed that before?'. This series has to be one of my top favorites.

With the arrival of these newer books compiled by his son Brian and Kevin Anderson, I feel rather divided on what my opinion should be. It's still within the Dune mythos so that reels me in, but it doesn't flow the same way. Not that is a bad thing, but I don't feel compelled to re-read through the two trilogies they have put out together. Now they are attempting to pick up where Chapterhouse left off based off what information they found into two new books called 'Hunters of Dune' and 'Sandworms of Dune'. I guess they have to squeeze as much melange out of it as they can. For now, I'll remain highly skeptical until I see their published result.

Been watching the first 14 episodes of Fate/Stay night, and it's decent enough. Not awesomelly excellent or anything, but it's good entertainment. I'm tempted to go find a fansubbed copy of the game (if such a thing exists), as I think the story would work better in game form than anime. The whole "Level" thing is pretty awkward in the anime.

Also watched the first episode of the Disgaea anime. Not impressed. Mediocre animation and not enough Etna. Am also not a big fan of the fansub group, Anime-Universe, as they usually take a bit too many liberties with their translations.

Yeah, Fate/Stay Night is pretty decent since I wasn't expecting too much from it. I'll most likely will stick with it till the end. As for a translation for its PC counterpart, I haven't been able to find one but I did find a group that seems to be working on it. Even Tsukihime too! http://mirrormoon.org/

After seeing the promo for Disgaea, I was expecting the animation to be a little better than what I saw with the first episode. It was pretty mediocre at best. :( The lack of Etna didn't help its case, but I'll give the next episode a shot.

Oh yeah, Eureka Episode 35 rocked on so many levels. ~.~

Eureka 7 continues to enthrall me even at around Episode 34. The characters are nicely developed and the story never really drags past the initial beginning of the series. On a related note, I just got my Eureka 7 DVD 1 Special Edition and it's much nicer than I expected.

I've been watching Mushishi as well. I find it best to watch it one episode at a time and let that episode sink in a day or two before the next. I'm up to episode 10 and I'm very interested to see where it will go.
