Thanks you two : ) I'm curious as to whether any of these items appeal to some of the younger RPGers, such as the Working Designs related products and these older import games. Do games such as Xenosaga still mean anything to them? WOW that's a pretty beastly list of stuff.
I've thrown a pretty sizeable bid on Actraiser OST but I doubt I'll be able to hold it. Good luck all. That'd be a great thing for Yuzo Koshiro to sign when he's in the US (MAGFest, WashD.C.) in January.
One question: what's the deal with that Secret of Evermore "promo" CD? Was that officially sent out by Jeremy Soule, or is that just some bootleg rip-off?
Yes, the SoE OST is a German bootleg. It's one of the more unusual bootlegs I've seen. I purchased it around 2004, but haven't seen it since -- so know it was only produced for a short time (unlike other, larger bootleg companies). I included the catalog number on all the OSTs & games so that people can check for these things.

Hi everyone, I just put a bunch of items up on eBay, such as rare video games, MTG, anime and music items. However, I'll just be focusing on the RPG stuff here. Alot of my items are import RPGs from Japan from the 90's. I had exhausted all the English RPGs, so went on to purchase Japanese RPGs to satiate my cravings. I also have a lot of soundtracks from SNES & PlayStation RPGs, such as Actraiser, Chrono Trigger & Final Fantasy XII; and a lot of PS1 RPG strategy guides, such as a New Chrono Cross guide. I have a 100% rating with over 250+ reviews, all my items come from a non-smoking environment, I offer combined shipping on all items, ship worldwide, AND am offering a 10% discount to all RPGFan members (PM me here after you've won to verify your RPGFan status). The Rest / The Bazaar / WTS: HUGE Rare Console, Game & Misc. Items (NIB Consoles, Promos, RPGs, etc.)

Hello everyone! It's Bluehaze here back again with my yearly selling thread. I'm tidying up my gaming collection by selling-off a ton of great extras that I've amassed over the years. These items include brand new consoles all the way down to old school boxes and instruction manuals for all you people perfecting your collections. The last two years ( 2007 & 2008) I had my items ebayed and cooperatively sold here at RPGFan, but this year I'm bringing it all straight to you guys, the community : ) As before, all of my items come from a non-smoking environment and are in 100% working condition. If you have any questions regarding any of the items below--such as what a certain foreign game is all about or about taking additional photos for you--then please feel free to ask. If it is a concern or correction, then I would prefer a PM. Please read below for my selling and buying rules regarding this thread. ------------------------ S&H Costs & Ethics ------------------------ - All shipping prices are for N. America only. For all other buyers, PM me with your country and the items that you are interested in so that I can give you an 'estimate.' Until I get to the post office and they actually weigh all of your items and measure the shipping box, I cannot know the exact cost for international buyers.
- All shipments in N. America above $50 will have FREE insurance. For buyers outside of N. America, if you would like insurance, then please let me know when we reach the stage of determining final costs.
- I follow guidelines for safe packaging.
- All non-handheld consoles are a flat rate of $16. This makes it easier for me than having to go through the hours long process of calculating twenty consoles for each potential state. Please see below for shipping discounts on consoles.
- All handheld consoles are a flat rate of $7. Please see below for shipping discounts on handheld consoles.
- All games and books are a flat rate of $5. Please see below for shipping discounts on games and books.
- All accessories and promos will have a shipping cost beside their buying cost.
- There are a very few amount of common sense exceptions to this pricing. For example, CPS2 motherboards, which are games the size of consoles. Such items will have their shipping cost listed beside their buying price.
- I accept pickups. In fact, I endorse them! It saves you shipping costs and me a drive to the post office. If you are interested in picking up your items, then please let me know when we are working out the final costs.
Shipping Discounts: - After the first console, shipping for each additional one will only be half-price ($8).
- After the first book, shipping for each additional one will only be $2.
- After the first game or handheld console, shipping for each additional one will only be $1!
- Additional shipping discounts will vary depending on how much space I can save while preserving the safe packaging of your items. This includes accessories and promos.
----------------------- Payment Methods ----------------------- - I accept Money Orders and Paypal. I do not anything else. Do not ask.
- I ship items after I have received payment.
- I prefer Money Orders so that Paypal doesn't rape me with their fees, esp. on large payments. If you are not in urgency to receive your items, then I would be very grateful if you could send me a Money Order instead.
-------------- Item Prices -------------- Nearly all of the prices for the items listed below are the result of averaging out common eBay prices and/or consulting various game collecting websites regarding appropriate pricing. Some of the items are hard to find, and therefore hard to receive accurate pricing on. Thus, some pricing is given in a ballpark range. Resources that you can use when deciding on some of the rarer/expensive items in this thread are: http://ebay.comhttp://digitpress.com/http://assemblergames.com/forums/To put it short, some of these items are very rare (such as the 15-year old NIB SNES console & the non-licensed NES games). Seiken Densetsu III (aka the Secret of Mana II) had it as well as the X-Men Legends games. Xenosaga ep1 and many of the various Mario RPGs have it too.
And that's all I can think of right now.
I don't recall Seiken Densetsu III allotting stat points for distribution upon leveling, but I do remember it having a Class system and skills. Am I forgetting the stat point allocation in the game? I probably shouldn't have assumed people would automatically know what I mean with abbreviations. All Shin Megami Tensei games, except 3 & 4
I actually meant Persona 3 and 4 here. The actual Shin Megami Tensei III, SMT: Nocturne does let you pick your stats as you level. Come to think of it I don't think the DemiKid games let you pick stats, if you do it's for your monsters since it's like Pokemon where you don't actually control the main character in battle. Thank-you for the clarification. How about the original SMT games on the SNES (Kyuuyaku, 1, 2, and If...)? There's a lot of games in the series, so I know it can be tough to catch them all.

I am looking for any RPG, console or not, which has the leveling mechanic that allots you stat points to distribute amongst your character(s) when you level up. Example of games like this include the Fallout series and Sudeki. The more games of these nature that people can toss into this thread, the more grateful I would be. Thank-you very much in advance.
P.S. If you list any games with a hybrid leveling system please be sure to specify that they are hybrids.
Games Listed Thus Far All Shin Megami Tensei games, except Persona 3 & 4 and the DemiKid games Arcanum Avencast: Rise of the Mage Diablo 1 & 2 Etrian Odyssey Fallout 1, 2 & 3 Musashi Samurai Legend Planescape: Torment Seiken Densetsu III Shining Soul II Soulbringer Sudeki The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age Titan Quest X-Men Legends Xenosaga Episode I

My auctions, username: logan235711 : )I'm selling most of my video game items and right now I'm on my PS1 section. They all start @ 0.99 cents with no reserve : ) All my games do come from a non-smoking environment, are 100% complete, and are of the non-greatest hits versions/original printings--I was a bit of a perfectionist in my collecting over the years lol. I also provided photos of each game that includes the casing and the discs--both front and back in the auctions. I may add some more games to the auction list, probably import Saturn and import SNES games, and if I do...I'll edit the thread title with a date or something. This probably won't happen till at least Friday, but just a heads up in case : ) If I've forgotten to mention anything or you have any specific questions please feel free to post them here (that's part of what the thread is here for ^_^) and I'll try to answer to the fullest extent of my abilities. Thank-you for taking your time to look and happy bidding ^_^ Sincerely, Bluehaze P.S. I have an old thread from last March when I sold my last batch on RPGFan right Here. P.P.S. I forgot! I am giving free shipping on all additional items won beyond the first for everyone on RPGFan (i.e. free combined shipping), just be sure to email me or something when the auction ends so I know who to give it to ; )

umm, reading Phenomenology of Perception by Maurice Merleau-Ponty--pretty cool so far; he's one of the main followers of Husserlian philosophy. Mmm, also I'm going through "An Introduction to the Theory of Numbers" but G.H. Hardy, updated by E. M. Wright--it's pretty much a classic in number theory, and although about the first 8 chapters or so are review, it's very clear to read and understand and really shows some interesting perspectives on how to derive some certain proofs : ) So if you read through that, you should be very well versed in that area of math

Media / Single-Player RPGs / Which monsters do you enjoy to see the most in a RPG?

I guess for me any monster that fits the style of the game works for me, I'm not too picky : ) Like for example, if I'm playing some Sci-Fi RPG, then I'd like it if the monsters fit the environment of the game, maybe some mech monsters, or something 'out-there' with a space like feel, aliens, etc. However, that's not to say that a game can't mix it up, but if I'm playing some game that's trying to game itself seriously and then if it throws in cans of soda to attack me...I might just have to raise an eyebrow or two lol
On a side note, I do like fighting those monsters that are like 50 bajillion times larger than you and your party, and that have multiple body parts that you have to attack--usually those are only bosses though :p lol they should make some game where every monster is like that, part of something larger and at the end of the game you find out that all these monsters were themselves only parts of something much larger etc and maybe you are fighting from the inside-out of something...lol I don't know, sounds kind-of fun : )
