Yeah, because Bleach has like 50 episodes of filler after the Soul Society Arc...

Just watched Desert Punk eps 5-8.

There must be a reason he/she named his/herself "forumdrifter." Drifting from forum to forum after getting banned for not following the rules...

If $40 new is too much, the cheapest I saw it used at my local Gamestop was $35....

Though, you probably will get 40+ hours out of it. I'm a "slower" RPGer and it took me 47 hours, no sidequests.

Been playing some more Wild Arms 3. Just got out of the Ruin of Memory and saved the game back in Jolly Roger....

Skits would be more enjoyable if there was voice acting, like in the Japanese version. It's awful quiet when you read 350 skits.

I liked the battle system a lot, though Free Run makes the game a lot easier than Tales of Symphonia, since you can easily dodge any spell, but I guess giving bosses way more HP made up for it.

Code:
Are you talking about the guy on the TV claiming to be L?

Code:
If so, that one is a fake. It's been a year since I read the scanlations, but I'm sure L's face wasn't shown for a while.

EDIT: The first sentence is less spoilerish than the second sentence, so I seperated them.

No, it was volume 5 or 6 where they show L's face.

As far as I remember in the manga, it's like chapter 50-60 by the time you see L's face....

Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation - I'm just going to give up on the game. I liked it at first, but when you're fighting bosses near the end of the game that are seemingly impossible to defeat, it's not challenging, it's downright frustrating when you do for shit damage against the bosses and they end up regenerating all the health damage you just gave them. Fuck that shit. At least I got $20 worth out of it to say the least.

Spoilers just in case
Code:
There are tricks against those bosses. If you're talking about R-Rivale and/or Judecca. Use EN drain missles and use weak attacks to force them to drain while dogding their attacks. With no EN, they can't use their barriers nor their best attacks. It worked wonders for me. If you have SP regen on your pilots, that makes things a lot easier. If you have difficulty now though, you don't want to know the horrors of OG2.

I should have gotten SP Regen a long time ago, but it's too late now. >.> I'm trying to fight Galuin/Kai War or whatever his name is without using any SP, so I could save them up for the R-Rivale. Plus, I did equip EN draining weapons to my weaker pilots in the chapter.

Meh, I'll just restart sometime down the road, and make sure to get SP Regen and redo each chapter, or at least the later chapters, just to get more PP, EXP, and money. I thought Fire Emblem was tough until I played SRT: OG.

Anyways, to actually contribute to the thread a bit, I started up Wild Arms 3, and I did Virginia's and Jet's part of the prologue.

Been playing some SO3, and I've gotten Maria on my team now and such. I'm just hoping I'll be able to play disc 2(since I'm playing it on my PS3, I'm not sure if I'll be able to play it once I have to switch to disc 2.)
2096  The Rest / General Discussions / Best ethnic accent? on: August 03, 2007, 12:51:20 PM
I personally think all accents are annoying, but that's probably just me.

Yeah, that's very true. Even mangas like Love Hina were heavily toned down in the anime, as all the fanservice was removed. Gantz is the only anime I've seen that's as gory as it's manga counterpart.

There's no real violence in Death Note, and no death's are graphic. Well, at least in the manga, as I haven't watched the anime yet.

Desert Punk eps 3 and 4. So far, it's going to be a fun ride, as DP is all about the humor.
2099  The Rest / General Discussions / Resident Evil 5 is "racist" on: August 02, 2007, 11:15:48 PM
Whites, as far as I know of, have never been oppressed by another race. Whites are usually oppressed by other whites due to differences in religion and stuff like that.

Played--er--watched SO3 basically. A lot of cutscenes popped up where I'm currently at in the game...
