Oh god that looks good.

Remember how the developers of the shameful DA2 referred to Meryl as a "virginal girl next door"?

Beat the game. I give it a solid 8/10. Good game but has some serious design and balance issues.

It's party combat and turn based.

I just finished Cyseal. The area's final boss was pretty tough at first. I had to chug some protection potions just to survive the initiate barrage he launches. I'll be happy to go to the next area and not fight undead for a while, as my archer/caster has so many poison abilities.

Haha oh god.

Sometimes I wonder if DA2 could have been better if it had more time for development. On paper the game seems so much better than its execution.

Different writer I believe. I love DA:O Anders!

Remember how if you were a mage in DA2 nobody really gave a crap even though mages were supposedly the antichrist in Kirkwall?

The game is fantastic. Perfect throwback title. It's incredibly challenging too. I'm having to adjust to this old type of gameplay after playing games that have held my hand for the last decade.

More gameplay

I just skipped through it briefly to avoid spoilers. But it actually looks decent. They have clearly addressed DA:O fans here by adding more tactical input. I only hope that there are no more repsawning/rushing enemies like in DA2.

Harvest Moon fans are pissed at Natsume. Lmao.

I never knew how dedicated these fans were.

This is like the smallest of video game wars. It's so cute.

DA2 was originally called Dragon Age Exodus. You can disagree all you want but this is a fact.

Another fact: the direction of the game was so appalling that the lead designer of DA:O quit Bioware.

Anyways, I hope they can turn DA3 around and appease fans of both origins and 2.

You just need to sit back and enjoy the game and not worry about choices too much. Just stick with a general character theme and go with it. I know the feeling of too many choices, but you can alleviate it by making a decision beforehand that you're going to play with a specific focus.

I think a lot of us who play games too long focus too much on the game system rather than simply experiencing what the game offers and just having fun. We forget how to go into a good game blindly and let it throw everything at us without trying to pick apart every little mechanic.

It didn't make sense under any context. Art assets were blatantly re-used. The truth is that DA2 was a spinoff game made into a full sequel.

I just got this game. Surprised nobody is talking about it...

It's way more fun to mix up your party and see how different convos and events play out.

This isn't like a JRPG where you need to powerlevel.

Can I still play this if I'm 14 or do I need my mom's permission?
