Trying to beat Garuda normal. The group I was with sucked. They didn't kill the feathers fast enough.

I got my new laptop. It was non functional upon getting it. The ethernet, PCI, and several other pieces did not have compatible drivers. I  managed to get everything but the PCI and SM Bus updated. I will deal with those tomorrow.

Holy shit last nights game started amazing. THen it just went to shit for the Packers when the Seahawks started connecting in all facets of the game...except punt returns. Seriously. Why risk injury to one of the best defensive players on the team, and arguably one of the top 5 Safeties in the league. Just let a rookie with good hands and nothing to prove at this point catch the ball after waving his hand above his head.

THere are a few games this Sunday that I am looking forward to, and the Lions game on Monday as well. I want to see how Golden Taint does on that team.

I hope Blake Bortles gets to play. I am glad Derek Carr gets to play. He looked sensational against the Hawks in preseason.

Returned my previous laptop and ordered a new one. The one I returned had some issues with the track pad and while I could and probably will use a mouse, I still want things to function correctly.

I shaved my beard for the first time in years. It made me look young and it also made my chin cold. I don't like it.

Splurged on a new gaming laptop. I have a hard time buying myself expensive stuff and feel like I should save my money. I got a big chunk of change for my diminished value so I was still able to put a bunch in my savings account.

Anyone have advice on seeking work in another city prior to actually moving there?

Monster, Career Builder, or craigslist

Sorry to hear about your uncle Dagg.  It's one thing if someone dies from illness or age, but suicide- that's a whole different set of "feelz."  Hang tough, buddy.

I am not unsurprised by his choice. He didn't show the "warning signs" or leave a note, but he was in so much pain from having most of his back fused and several other surgeries. So it just doesn't surprise me overly much. There are a lot of people that were closer to him that are surprised, and I guess it's because of the lack of close emotional attachment that allows me to see what they don't. He was my favorite uncle. The only one that I ever saw regularly. It is hard, but I am comforted that he is no longer in pain. My mom is not doing well with it.

I got the offer for the diminished value on my car. I am not unhappy with it.

My uncle committed suicide on Saturday. I am unhappy with it.

Have this week off for vacation, but get 3 days of it back since i can use bereavement. I am not unhappy with it.

Colts looked really good against the Jets in their first preseason game until the third stringers got put in after the first half. Luck and TY shredded the Jets on the first drive for like 40 yards on a couple catches. They could not cover him. Hakeem Nicks had a nice third down catch on 3rd and 11 to keep the drive going too. Unfortunately, our starting center went down at the goal line. I'm so sick of the injuries. The Colts seriously need a new staff for conditioning and whatnot. Already 4 starters down and 3 of them for the year and plenty of players nicked up. I feel like no other team even comes close to the injuries we have sustained already. Our defense looked really good with the first and second string, although the Jets are a terrible offensive team so I don't know what to make of it. Vick looked better than Geno. They should just start him and get it over with. He gives them a better chance of winning easy.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) the Jets don't do things quickly when it comes to making changes. They kept Sanchez as their starter forever, despite him being just terrible. They are not a decisive group when it comes to changes.

Bortles looked pretty good with the Jags. Obviously preseason is preseason and he probably won't get snaps until about game 6 after Henne fucks shit up repeatedly. They say they won't play him this season. I laugh at that.

I am torn on Pryor. He looked a lot better with the Seahawks than he ever did with the Raiders. Even in pre season. He was making good decisions and reading the field really well. With the exception of the throw into coverage at the end he made a lot of good choices. T-Jack looked good too. It is going to be a tough choice for the Hawks as of right now. Obviously things can change before the end of preseason.

The 49er game was... Interesting. They made some big mistakes. They had a couple players that looked really good, but overall it was a lackluster game by them.

My roommate finally moved out today. I am fucking glad he is gone. Now I don't need to wonder every day if something else will be stolen. Even if it wasnt him that stole it, he was not responsible enough.

<Snip>

The Jags added some decent players in the off season, so they shouldn't be AS easy as last year. They will still be pretty easy I think, but not the blow off team they were ;-)

Sherman is an ass. I like him. He is a great player and an asset to the team on defense. Doesn't change him being an ass.

Yeah, it's the Colts secondary that I am thinking will be an issue. They don't have the depth of some teams *cough*Seahawks*cough* ;-)

I fully expect the Jags to be the worst team in the division despite a decent roster this year just because of their QB situation. Texans are the team the Colts could lose to. That defense is stellar and Fitzpatrick can get on hot streaks (and then go cold for 3 games). I just hope those cold games are against us lol.

Fitzpatrick will fizzle out this season. There will be no hot streaks. Just shitty shitty play. Don't discount the influence of Red Bryant in the Jags locker room. Yes, their QB situation is shitty, but it doesn't always take a good offense to win games. I will not be surprised if they beat the Titans though. Something about it is making me want to wager on the Jags ;-)

As a Colts fan, I'm super excited for this season. Andrew Luck just keeps getting better. Reggie Wayne, my favorite player of all time, is coming back from a major injury and everyone outside of Indiana thinks he is done (FYI reports from the media say he looks amazing in drills, but he won't be playing their first preseason game on Thursday just as a precaution). Trent Richardson gets a chance to redeem himself, or prove all the doubters wrong. I expect him to be somewhere in the middle. Same with Hakeem Nicks, which was a good pickup. Also, everyone will continue learning TY Hilton's name. Such a stud WR. I'm sure as a Seahawks fan you remember the game between the Colts and Seahawks last year. It was great, but watching Hilton burn Sherman and Thomas for a huge TD was amazing. Hopefully our defense can keep up with the progress our offense has been making. Adding back in Dwayne Allen at TE is going to be nice too. I can't wait for the season to start! So many things I'm looking forward to seeing. Even our rookie WR Donte Moncrief has been massively impressing the media in camp and will probably be our kick returner for the preseason opener.

Yeah, sad. It was the one TD thrown in Richard Shermans direction last season. He didn't allow any others.

The Colts have a serious shot to make it to the Superbowl, even with the Neanderthal looking QB that is Luck ;-)

THe weak link in the Colts is going to be the defense. i don't think they did enough to shore it up in the off season. They added a couple players, but I am not sure they did enough. Only time will tell. It is going to be a good season. ^_^

Believe me, every Colts fan on Twitter makes sure Sherman remembers he got burned by TY when he posts stats and shit claiming to be the best (not refuting, but it does get annoying. Let your play do the talking). I like the additions of Arthur Jones and D'Qwell Jackson to our front 7, but the secondary could be real shaky this year (especially if someone gets injured, the drop off from first to second string is noticable). I don't really like the safeties, but they can always improve. I expect the Colts to push for a top seed in the AFC this year regardless with their schedule. We get to play the Titans, Texans, and Jags twice for crying out loud lol.
