1081  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Any FFXI players still around and Discussion on: September 16, 2007, 11:21:27 AM
I really want to give FFXI another shot, since I loved it before. Is there some way to retrieve my old account?

what are you talking about? why do people want to solo in mmo's?thats like masturbating at an orgy. its near impossible to have a system where both solo'ing and partying are equally effective without having adverse effects on the other. anyways i'm loving the new ffxi pokemanz. anyways my apkallu just got served by a wamoura of the flying death variety. if you dont know what that is its basically a moth form of a crawler.

Sometimes you can't find someone to do stuff with and/or just feel like doing something by yourself. People pay the same amount whether they want to solo or group, why should it matter to you what they want to do?
1084  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Blue Dragon on: September 04, 2007, 10:28:21 AM
So I am digging Blue Dragon. It's a bit on the easy side, but it is fun.

Something I found by accident, but seems to be working really well.

Code:
To get a lot of SP level up Barrier Mage to get Field Barrier. Then go to Laser Fields. There is a spot where monsters keep dropping from the sky almost continually. If you have Field Barrier 3 you can keep killing them with that to get 2 SP per kill and it only takes one MP per monster. If you have regenerate MP you get enough back to do it for an excessively long time.
1085  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Searching OST RPG for PC on: September 04, 2007, 10:23:49 AM
Quote from: "UNIX"
Hm, with OST i meant games from japan and so on, such as the final fantasy series, tales of, valkyrie profile etc.
Am I wrong?

However, i am still searching :)

So you are looking for J-RPGs. There aren't many console style J-RPGs available for the PC. OST stands for Original (or Official) Sound Track. It's the music for the games.

well well i guess i will play it someday... when xbox 360 is emulated in pc... i don`t think that will happen soon >_<

I hope you burn in hell.

He wants to emulate a game on a computer that'd probably have to cost far more than that game and the X360 did. That's more something to laugh at than go "DIE IN A FIRE" over. :P

Edit: Not to mention that if the game REALLY does fail it'd cost something like $10 used at GameStop.

Can't I have it both ways just this once? Laugh at him as he dies in a fire?

I hope you burn in hell.

Edit: I don't mean one of the hells that they talk about in religion. I mean I hope someone sets you on fire and you say "Man, this must be what hell is like" right before your skin drips off of you like hot wax.

Schaffer the Darklord: My Dinner With Jello

A song all about a guy who ends up having dinner with Jello Biafra. Jello apparently only speaks in lyrics from his songs. Interesting.
1091  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / WoW: Wrath of the Lich King: A New Expansion: ::: on: August 03, 2007, 06:13:20 PM
Everyone who is saying that it is too soon for an expansion just needs to shut the fuck up. This is probably about a year away. Blizzard has stated that they intend to do a new expansion every year or so. This should not be news to you. You had 6 months to prepare for the announcement.

The sad news is that DK might be the only hero class. That would suck. I want a couple choices dammit.

Edit: I was going to make a seperate thread for this link, but this thread just happened to be there waiting.

My guild (which is a pretty small, casual guild) did our second Kara run today. We had our first last weekend and then we only downed Attumen and had a good try at Moroes.

Today we did Attumen, Moroes, Maiden of Virtue and the Big Bad Wolf event. A very nice run, even if some of us cloth wearers died a few times. Two healery things dropped, but I didn't get either of them. One went to the other priest, and the second was nabbed by the holy paladin.

Still, was lots of fun and I look forward to going back.

Damn that is pretty good for your second try at it. We still have a hard time with Moroes because we don't have a paladin of any sort.

I have to agree, it's pretty much entrapment.

Yeah, I wonder how far this will get in court.

It will probably go pretty far since it isn't entrapment. Entrapment is a defense that claims the defendant would not have broken the law if not tricked into doing it by law enforcement officials. There are a few reasons its not entrapment. The first is that she wasn't tricked by law enforcement, though it could be said that law enforcement was behind it or it could be argued that law enforcement was contacted afterwards. This is an important point.

The second is whether she would not have been tricked into it except by law enforcement. In this case it is the same as "tricking" any other pedophile into going to a home where a young person is said to be. They already had the idea, they were just given the means. Entrapment cases usually use the "reasonable person" standard. Would a reasonable person do X if given Y. If the answer is no, then it isn't entrapment. So would a reasonable person buy that pound of crack to resell if they weren't given 1 million dollars for it from a police officer. The most famous entrapment case that comes to mind is Deloreoun(sp?) the guy that created that car from Back to the Future.
