1336  The Rest / General Discussions / The question begs to be asked: on: July 26, 2006, 09:32:17 AM
Hmm...polls. This is a complicated question that must be answered in several parts. The first part is perhaps the definition of a poll. A poll is defined as "a place where one douche bag can see if a bunch of other douche bags agree with him, so that he can continue to stroke his e-peen". I believe that this particular sentiment is important in determining if polls are a good thing. The second part is the answers of the poll. Do you simply ask a question and leave the common "yes" and "no" responses for those other douche bags to choose from in hopes of avoiding confusion? Or do you try to be witty and leave things like cat faces and homosexual references? The third important part of a poll is whether people think it is meant as a joke, or whether it is real?

It's for these reasons that I say...fuck. That's right folks. Fuck.

Finished up Shadow Hearts tonight, clocking in at ~25 hours. Woohoo, on a roll. Next on the chopping block is either Suikoden 5, .hackInfection, or Baten Kaitos. All of them I'm somewhat in the middle.

Suikoden 5 if you want a decent RPG. heh

So I've been playing VP:Lenneth....just finished Chapter 1. I've played the PSOne version and personally I enjoy the PSP port more. Maybe it's because I'm a little older, a little wiser when it comes to my RPGs. I replayed through a few old RPGs recently and found I enjoyed them more NOW than I did back in the day. Odd.

You know what you should be playing? WoW. Asshole.

Played some Trauma center at work. Fun stuff.

Well.....everyone was wondering if Blizz was going to unveil any new classes and in a lot of interviews they kept saying "You'll have to wait and see...."

Wow way to be original asswipes! Not that I'm really that bummed, cause I really like the Paladin class but I also love me some Night Elves. I guess Blood Elf Paladin is the next best thing. I'm happy, but very irritated at the lack of creativity.

Edit: Ya know, now that I've thought about it for a few minutes....why didnt Blizzard just go with the typical Anti-Paladin style and introduce a Shadowknight or Reaver style class (in the fashion of EQ and DAoC, respectively) and a "Blatantly Hippy" class for the alliance to counter the Shaman? Would it be really that hard to make a Tank with light DPS capability but with great DoT abilities?

*le sigh*

They never once said there would be new classes. They actually said there would NOT be new classes in this expansion. They never said anything about maintaining the current balance of classes on each side.

A large group of us left Shadowsong for greener pastures. Norgannon. It is one of the new servers at the new site and has very little lag. We are playing on Horde side a lot and if you feel like joining us contact Kossuth(Me), Skullflower(DR), or sometimes...Miakis(Dade).

JESUS CHRIST! I can see not being able to stand them but holy hell. It's like pickles killed her family. Either that or she got whipped with pickles covered in mustard when she was a baby. The way she's scared of em no wonder she gets teased. IT'S A FUCKING PICKLE. I don't mean to sound harsh (that is if this isn't staged) but man. Again, IT'S A FUCKING PICKLE!

I wonder how she feels about cucumbers(sp)...

You do realize that a phobia has no cause. It is simply an irrational fear of SOMETHING. There are people that are afraid of water. Not oceans, not lakes, but just water.

New info on jewelcrafting and socketed items. I am intrigued.

Are we so weak that we need protecting from an enemy that can be VANQUISHED BY HANGING UP THE PHONE.

I'm quite capable of haging up the phone yes. I'm also signed up on a national list of "do not call these numbers, asshats" that telemarketers in Sweden are pretty much forced abide by.

But that doesn't change the fact that it's a rotten, rotten business, and that there are loads of telemarketers who take advantage of people. Excuse me for having a morality :P

There are also a ton of telemarketers that simply call because it's their job. Sure they are pushy, but when you get bonuses and incentives based on sales you pretty much have to be. Not all of them are trying to take advantage of people. They are simply trying to sell a product or service. It goes back to the old saying "A few bad apples can spoil the bunch". Your morality is shit for saying that "it is a rotten business". It's not the business, it's the assholes that take advantage of others.
1346  The Rest / General Discussions / Hello Jack. How are you? on: July 04, 2006, 10:13:59 AM
I just want to get this in before the topic gets locked. Wow. What the fuck? Is it national retard month here on the fan? This is the most idiocy I have seen here in awhile. Hooray for douchebaggery.
1347  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Spider-Man 3 teaser on: June 29, 2006, 09:57:46 PM
There is talk of 3 more movies after this one. The main premise behind the 3 "new" movies is supposedly a Venom/Carnage story. That's why I think Brock will get the suit, but not until near the end. The best ending scene to set it up for a new 3 movie series would be Eddie Brock standing in a shadowy alley staring up at Peters apartment and having him talk to himself saying something along the lines of "Yes...we know him...and we will destroy him..." and having the suit then flow over his body forming the evil looking grin/mouth. That's just the comic/drama geek in me though.

I'm going to be supremely pissed if Venom pops up at the very end of the movie or something. I don't really give a fuck about Hobgoblin or Sandman(although he looks pretty cool).  Venom is the shit!!

From what I can tell the main baddies in this one are Sandman and Green Goblin (or Hobgoblin if they are going with the Ultimate Universe stories). It isn't Venom. Venom may appear, but it appears that Spidey keeps the suit for a very large portion of the movie. Also Sam Raimi has said that he didn't want to make a story about Venom unless he could reall flesh it out. Eddie Brock does appear (Played by Topher Grace) and could end up getting the suit, but I doubt that we will see him as a "main" villain in this movie.

Of course....he could end up being a villain, in which case I am going to be very very sad. He deserves better than half a movie.

I leveled a warrior from 15-18 today. I spent from about 10est until 2est doing so. I could have done it faster, I think, but I spent a good amount of time just running around exploring some stuff.
