You can go online with the core pack and no HD - but you probably won't be able to download much. Even if you can download some of the files that're online, all of the demoes would simply be too big to fit on it.

Personally, I'd just jump for the Premium system - unlike the PS3, there isn't any essential hardware you'd miss out by just getting the Core system (unless chrome plated disc drives are a must have), but it's just more convinent, and probably cheaper, to get that and be done with it.

Yeah, in the long run you are better of getting the premium system since even with the core you would still need to buy a memory card. That is about half of the difference in price right there. Not to mention the wireless controller. Just spend that little extra and get the premium. Otherwise don't even bother.
1338  The Rest / General Discussions / EB Games - controlled by communist nazis on: June 07, 2006, 09:46:23 AM
Yeah, they are not supposed to do that when therre is an FSI like this. I should know, I am the manager of an EB. Contact the gamestop feedback service and let them know what happened. They will then contact the District Manager and the DM will then contact you. Unless you know the DM it can be hard to actually contact them directly, unless those guys are breaking that rule too. They should have a sign up with the phone number for the gamestop complaint line.

Also, Miho, the not selling used N64 and PSX games isn't for every store. We are no longer taking them at any store, but typically they have all been shipped to one or two stores in the district. Usually the stores that sell the most or have the extra room.

Hey, I liked IV! Mostly I liked it because of something V lacks, which is the ability to use your hero like a stack, and being able to have more than one hero in an army.

Still, this game is very much like III with updated graphics. Still enjoyable, though, and Necropolis can be used well if you get good necromancy for your hero.

Yeah..they can be usable if you have the right skills, but overall they are just so much weaker than the others. Even their final level monsters are sucky in comparison.

Well....last night was interesting.

We finished about half of WC with 5 people, then one of them said he had to go. We decided that we weren't going to stop and just continued on with 4. We didn't do that poorly. We died twice...once was because me and my wife had to quickly go AFK since our cat managed to find a way up some shelves into the drop ceiling. Since there are mice up there...most of which are about the same size as her...we felt it was important that we get her out right away. Unfortunately we came back to us all dead since we didn't even try to get somewhere safe, since our real life cat is more important than video games.

The second time was because someone got feared into a group of Deviate Lashers. Those things are pussies when it comes to taking hits, but they can sure dish it out.  We managed to even beat Verdan the Everliving or however you spell it's name.

Our party
20 Druid
20 Shaman
21 Shaman
22 Rogue

We had another rogue with us at the beginning. I also recruited 3 people into the guild.

Now when Dade has some time we can go and finish WC a few more times...especially since my wife and I forgot to grab Lord Cobrahn's gem...d'oh.

Wow, I'm glad we all hate Sony so much.

"Stupid" is the worst argumentative comeback I have ever heard.  Retardation.

It has nothing to do with hating Sony. It has to do with the amount of bullshit spewed by this guy.

1344  Media / Miscellaneous Games / HoMM V on: May 31, 2006, 01:47:44 PM
Alrighty, here we go.

This game is good. Not the great that is HoMM III, but not the ass that was HoMM IV. Below you will find the pros and the cons so far.

Pros
-Solid strategy action.
-Pretty good looking graphics.
-The scenarios they have are interesting and engaging.
-Plays like Heroes 3, with not limitations put on building like they did in 4.

Cons
-No map editor or random map generator. They will be putting this in the patch, so it's not a huge deal at the moment since there are a good number of maps.
-A little buggy. I have had it freeze twice on me, but take into consideration I have played for quite a number of hours so far.
-Necropolis troops suck my cock. Horribly. Like...seriously bad.

Those are the major pros and cons. If you liked Heroes 3, pick up Heroes V.

Taylor won. My wife watches the show so I have to watch the show since that's where my computer is. Last night wasn't all that bad. They had Chris sing a song with Live. Katherine sang a song with Meatloaf. Man he is a fucking weirdo. Then they gave away some "awards". Basically they made fun of the people that tried out and sucked.

I'm brand new to this game, former guildwars whore bored with the lack of interaction in the world. Hit me up with useful readings please!

Night Elf Hunter, Elehaym- Thunderlord: Incase you see me running around being inept!

If you aren't too far in and feel like joining some of us, we are on the North American PVE server Norgannon. We have characters on both horde and alliance. There are people on other servers, but they don't count.

Yeah, god forbid they bring out games you don't like but others might, such as myself. I fucking loved DQVIII personally. :P

Didn't you know that Alisha has the only opinion that matters, Eusis?

Three hours and forty-five minutes.

That's how long it took to guide my menagerie of incompetency through Wailing Caverns tonight.

If I ever see that place again, it'll be way too soon. :P

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...dumb. I am not surprised though =P
