1426  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / World of Warcraft OH MY GOD CURRENT EVENTS THREAD on: June 28, 2006, 07:45:57 PM
I leveled a warrior from 15-18 today. I spent from about 10est until 2est doing so. I could have done it faster, I think, but I spent a good amount of time just running around exploring some stuff.

1429  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / WoW paid character transfer to cost $25 a pop on: June 23, 2006, 08:34:26 AM
They still haven't said whether that's per character, or whether you can do multiple characters from the same server to the same server with that. In a Blue response on WoW they made it seem like it was the latter. If so then I am happy.

Hey, if you still need the game, dude, let me know.
1431  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / WoW - 1.12 Coming Soon on: June 21, 2006, 07:13:38 AM
The fact that they have already updated that page is a great sign. Rogues aren't having very much done to them, from all that I have seen and heard. Cross-realm BG's could be awesome...or they could suck, depending on how they are done and how they manage the lag and server issues that are already there on some servers.

Picked mine up on the street date at my best buy. Got brain age for free with a promo deal, too.

I'll tell you, the brightness of the games makes you blind at first. It's like, "OH MY GOD WAS ANIMAL CROSSING ALWAYS THIS COLOR HAPPY?" O_o

I still have my old DS. Seeing if my friends wanna buy it before slepping it off to gamestop.

Overall, quite happy with my purchase.

If you had purchased your DS Lite at Gamestop and sold your old DS at the same time you would have gotten a pretty nice boost to the trade-in value of your old DS. The inclusion of Brain Age at Best Buy makes up for the boost, though.

Today was another slow day in WoW.  After hearing about Dagg's uber blue BoE haul over on Alliance, I decided to do a bit of instance farming myself.  My greatest acquisition?  Two fused wiring. :P

It turns out that one of the members of my Horde guild is also a member of one of the largest Alliance raid guilds on Norgannon.  And here I thought none of us had raid experience.  Now all we have to do is...get 33 more people to join, then we'll be in shape. :P

2 Members of our guild have lots of raid experience. Shivver used to have serveral 60's and I believe he used to raid before he quit.

All of which pales in comparison to the quick and convenient transportation options available in competing MMORPGs.

You can go online with the core pack and no HD - but you probably won't be able to download much. Even if you can download some of the files that're online, all of the demoes would simply be too big to fit on it.

Personally, I'd just jump for the Premium system - unlike the PS3, there isn't any essential hardware you'd miss out by just getting the Core system (unless chrome plated disc drives are a must have), but it's just more convinent, and probably cheaper, to get that and be done with it.

Yeah, in the long run you are better of getting the premium system since even with the core you would still need to buy a memory card. That is about half of the difference in price right there. Not to mention the wireless controller. Just spend that little extra and get the premium. Otherwise don't even bother.
1436  The Rest / General Discussions / EB Games - controlled by communist nazis on: June 07, 2006, 09:46:23 AM
Yeah, they are not supposed to do that when therre is an FSI like this. I should know, I am the manager of an EB. Contact the gamestop feedback service and let them know what happened. They will then contact the District Manager and the DM will then contact you. Unless you know the DM it can be hard to actually contact them directly, unless those guys are breaking that rule too. They should have a sign up with the phone number for the gamestop complaint line.

Also, Miho, the not selling used N64 and PSX games isn't for every store. We are no longer taking them at any store, but typically they have all been shipped to one or two stores in the district. Usually the stores that sell the most or have the extra room.

Hey, I liked IV! Mostly I liked it because of something V lacks, which is the ability to use your hero like a stack, and being able to have more than one hero in an army.

Still, this game is very much like III with updated graphics. Still enjoyable, though, and Necropolis can be used well if you get good necromancy for your hero.

Yeah..they can be usable if you have the right skills, but overall they are just so much weaker than the others. Even their final level monsters are sucky in comparison.
1438  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / World of Warcraft OH MY GOD CURRENT EVENTS THREAD on: June 03, 2006, 07:58:58 AM
Well....last night was interesting.

We finished about half of WC with 5 people, then one of them said he had to go. We decided that we weren't going to stop and just continued on with 4. We didn't do that poorly. We died twice...once was because me and my wife had to quickly go AFK since our cat managed to find a way up some shelves into the drop ceiling. Since there are mice up there...most of which are about the same size as her...we felt it was important that we get her out right away. Unfortunately we came back to us all dead since we didn't even try to get somewhere safe, since our real life cat is more important than video games.

The second time was because someone got feared into a group of Deviate Lashers. Those things are pussies when it comes to taking hits, but they can sure dish it out.  We managed to even beat Verdan the Everliving or however you spell it's name.

Our party
20 Druid
20 Shaman
21 Shaman
22 Rogue

We had another rogue with us at the beginning. I also recruited 3 people into the guild.

Now when Dade has some time we can go and finish WC a few more times...especially since my wife and I forgot to grab Lord Cobrahn's gem...d'oh.

Wow, I'm glad we all hate Sony so much.

"Stupid" is the worst argumentative comeback I have ever heard.  Retardation.

It has nothing to do with hating Sony. It has to do with the amount of bullshit spewed by this guy.
