736  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Final Fantasy XI - Journal! on: October 07, 2007, 06:29:53 PM
I am a nerd. I copied a ton of information on the character classes (levels of spells, AF gear and combat skills) and then bound them while at work so that I have a book with the information in it.

I got to 13 last night on my warrior...then promptly died and fell to 12. We are trying to get through Buburimu to get to Valkurm. We have decided to wait until 15ish then try again, unless we can get someone to escort us.

I love that signature, except for one thing. The background and text are far too similar a shade for my eye to distinguish between them very easily. It makes it hard to read, not impossible, but hard.

Got my Hume alt Ekbert up to level 9 THF. I am not a fan of leveling THF, it is a pain in the ass when you are poor and can't afford clothes or a new weapon. I am not sure how big of a difference that would really make, but it would have to be better than what I am doing now.

Don't tempt me DR, I just might do it. We have a nice DVD R drive at work for about $20. It's clearance.

The wife and I got level 10 yesterday on my WAR and her WHM. Finished all the missions to go from rank 1 to 2. Finding a party sucks at low levels.

Got my warrior job to 7 and finally put on the leather. I forgot how big a difference a couple pieces of equipment makes.

The Hawk and Fisher books by Simon R. Green is awesome.

Lower left corner.  The one wearing glasses that has red eye. This is the only known picture of Daggerstrike. This was taken without his knowledge at a nerdcore show and has since been published on the internet.

I'm surprised at quite how boring I'm finding Wuthering Heights.

I am hoping this is sarcasm. =P

I couldn't stand his writing style. I got through the second book and just said fuck it. Anyone who takes 8 pages to describe someones belt buckle needs to kiss my ass.

"It was shiny like the sun. The shine was...blah blah blah" I like detail, but I don't like wanting to drink drain-o because of it.

Picked up Nighwatch which i am totally stoked about. Oh and Crossroads of the Twighlight (Wheel of Time book 10) for $5.98 at Barnes and Noble....hardcover. Gotta love the bargain book section!

Fuck the Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan can suck my balls.

I have recently been reading the Crown of Stars series by Kate Elliot. I am up to the last book, but too cheap to buy the hardcover =P

The books have a lot of characters and jump around in the perspective. I enjoy it.
