Got married Monday. This was our cake.

Started up a new hobby: archery. It's a lot of fun. I like the mental and coordination challenges that come with practice. I enrolled into one of those five weeks beginner classes and loving it. We practice at a public outdoor field.

Some of the guys (and gals) that come to this place have expensive recurve bows. Although I was told by someone that some of these advanced archers are sponsored for Olympic training.

Instructors have us starting at 20 meters. I'm thinking when week five rolls around, we'll go for the 40-60 meter targets. (The field can accommodate for 90 meters)

When I'm practicing, I focus on my sight and clear my mind. Strangely therapeutic. Only negative about it is that it doesn't improve my athleticism. I guess I'll have to stick to walking/running for the cardio, heh.

THIS is why I am excited to have my own house with some land. We are going to have over 2 acres. I will be setting up at least one archery target. I love recurve bows. I hate compound bows.

So with The Flash I was at least partly right. Now to see how right.

Subtle acknowledgment of Arrow and Flash on Supergirl last night. Anyone else catch it?

We decided to have a home built. Found a package for land and a home. Working on it. One week until Marriage.

Saw Deadpool over the weekend. It is now my favorite Super-Person movie. I was going to say super Hero, but yeah, not that. Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead were fucking awesome.

Ok, my full theory about Zoom on The Flash:

Code:
Jay Garrick has a twin he doesn't know about- Hunter Zolomon. On both Earths. Zoom is the Hunter Zolomon from Earth 2. Jay that got stabbed and dragged back is Earth 2. Jay in the Iron Mask is Earth 1 Jay. When the breach opened Zoom grabbed that Jay thinking it was his, or hoping he had Speed Force. That leave Zolomon from Earth 1 the only one not involved and why he was quietly sitting on a bench eating a sandwich.

Well when they were going through the breach Arrow was there... So who knows.

The house situation is cause me massive stress. Stress I don't need right now with the marriage in less than 2 weeks.

We didn't go with the electrical death trap house. We offered on another house. Offered above the asking price by 7k. Someone else offered more. Within 45 minutes of it being up for sale. This was all done without actually walking around the house. It is a bit disheartening. There are a total of 82 homes for sale. Only 3 below 250k. Only 1 not a short sale or a complete mess. And it's the electrocution home. There are exactly 7 rentals in the city. 7. That was earlier today so I am sure there are now 0. We haven't heard if they are renewing our lease. It is up this month. If they decide not to, or decide to increase the cost dramatically we don't know what we will do. Luckily they can't kick us out without 30 days notice...but that only means likely to the end of March. We hope they don't even realize it for awhile. Really hope something comes up otherwise.

After last night's episode of The Flash...

Code:
I am pretty sure Zoom is Zolomon. The guy in the iron mask is Jay Garrick. Another one. From another Earth. That's my theory and I am sticking to it.
Code:
All I want to know is what was the purpose of pulling Jay through the portal after impaling him? Seems funny to me.

Also, really tired of Caitlyn's love interests biting it.

My thoughts about that...

Code:
Since he took the Velocity 9 he would have some Speed Force inside him. If Zoom is like Zoom in the comics then he wants to harness ALL the Speed Force. Since Jay had presumably lost it previously, or at least it lay dormant, the velocity 9 reawakens it and now Zoom wants it and him.

Yeah, that was an interesting way for them to introduce Velocity-9. The Geomancer bugged me. For a lot of reasons.

I am curious to see what Barry does when he meets Supergirl in March. It seems like it will likely be an alternate world story line, but it would be nice if they allowed for more cross overs by making it in the same world. Though hearing of a flying girl in a mini skirt would be something that would stick out...even in a world where there is a Shark man creature and a giant psychic gorilla....

Had the inspection  today. The house is in good shape. The electrical panel isn't good enough for a modern home so we will have to replace it. Also none of the outlets are grounded so that  is going to be interesting.

The offer on the house was accepted. We are now waiting for all the paperwork to finish. By the middle of March I will be  a first time home buyer. A little scary and exciting. The home isn't exactly what we wanted but considering the cost and the other houses available we took the closest thing we could find. The backyard is huge so we can expand and the carport Is right off the kitchen so we can expand the tiny kitchen that way. What's important is that it is livable without any major changes or fixes.

Congrats :) It's rare for anyone to find the first house the first time, if ever. Hopefully you'll be able to turn it into a home you love down the line.

Thanks! We are excited. That excitement is tempered by the idiocy that is the mortgage guy. They participate in a state program to give down payment assistance. We wanted down payment assistance so we could use our savings for cool stuff like hoverboards and inflatable shark pools. You know. The usual. Unfortunately the guy is a fucking idiot and has lied to us a few times and now fucked up the paperwork. I am getting frustrated.

I used to work with a guy who had an SRT-4 Neon. That thing was a blast.

Exactly. We were in the market to buy a home a few years ago (ended up renting instead), and some of the houses we really liked and wanted needed expensive (for my blood) work done to bring them up to code. 'Twas unfortunate... Oh well.

We are quite lucky to find a home right now. There is not much available in the area. We are a navy town, and 4 new squadrons were supposed to come. They actually had to postpone 2 of them indefinitely because of the lack of homes to purchase or rent. Based on where we are and my soon to be wifes job moving isn't really an option. We are on an island with only a bridge or a ferry to get off of it, and to get to the next inhabitable place takes about 45 minutes by bridge, 60 by ferry.  She doesn't make enough to make that a viable solution. I work from home so I am good with whatever.
