Thanks all. We decided that the 29th would be good and since we aren't doing a big wedding we didn't need the time to plan. Just me, her son, her,  and my parents at the courthouse. We are saving to buy a house so we didn't want to spend money and her family would never help pay for it... Or even come.... So fuck it.

I read two trilogies by Bruce Blake, the traditional fantasy Khirro's Journey and the urban fantasy Icarus Fell, both of which were fairly enjoyable. I've also occasionally read books for book tours, and will next tackle the Star Wars books that are now considered canon.

I decided to start reading Khirro's Journey after you posted this and I am happy I did. It is pretty good so far. Just started on book 2

I recently read the David Dalgish novel Skyborn. It's the start of a new series for him. The world has been destroyed, except for islands that float in the sky. The people have adapted by engineering wings that allow them to soar through the sky. Each island has a specific resource, and they all pay tribute to the center island where the crystals that power the wings, and their magic, are created. Battles between the islands is heavily regulated by Center, and it seems that Center has everyones best interest at heart and that they speak for God himself. But is everything as it appears to be?

Overall I found it an enjoyable read.

I have  a laptop. It is fairly new and runs Windows 10. Recently whenever my laptop is unplugged the touch pad shuts off entirely. I have gone through all the settings I can find and I can't seem to find how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas?

I want to buy a house. I found one I like. Unfortunately I don't have 20k for down payment and other fees when I close the loan. I guess rental in it will continue to be... Even though the monthly  cost is the same.

I'm holding off on Stormlight Archive until I finish the other Cosmere books as well as The Wheel of Time. I just have Elantris, The Emperor's Soul, and Sixth of Dusk to go Cosmere wise and four books left in The Wheel of Time. By the time I get through them Bands of Mourning will be out and I'll have that to read too. I hope to get to Stormlight Archive next summer.

As for my current readings, I finished reading The Vikings. It was an excellent source of information and history though I already knew a lot of it.

I'm moving on to Providence of Fire, book two of the Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne. I thought the first book was only okay, but I did really enjoy the setting and was intrigued enough to give the second book a shot. The consensus seems to be that it is a lot better than the first, but there area quite a few people who say the opposite. I'll give it a hundred or so pages and see what I think. If I don't like it I'll move onto the next, which will likely be Wheel of Time 11 depending on if it is available at the library. If not, then I'll read another Viking history book titled Viking Age Iceland.

I actually likeD the second book quite a bit more than the first.

Really enjoying season 2 of The Flash! Cisco is still one of my favorite characters.

This is fucking awesome and a bit sad for so many reasons. Especially if things don't work out between the couple. "Nope...I am not the father...check the test bitch"

In the preview the author said Rouge instead of rogue. Not sure if it was on purpose but it gave me an aneurysm.

This lady spent time and money in court to destroy a family relationship and all she got was this lousy t-shirt! Incredible.

I know a lot of people think what she did was horrible (and you aren't wrong). I get it. Let me just say this though-Connecticut law requires that the injured party attempt to sue the individual that caused the injury for damages before an insurance company will pay out. She wants money from the homeowners (her brother/sister) home insurance, but was required to sue the child to attempt to get the insurance to pay after. Now she can go after the homeowners insurance.

I agree with the pros and cons above. Except for Healix. I love Healix.
