Been playing the games my wife got me for my birthday. Really enjoying Trails of Cold Steel or whatever it's called.

Went to see Jonathan Coulton last night at The Triple Door in Seattle. I got the tickets from my son for my birthday. The tickets were amazing. Front row. It was an awesome show. Since it's emerald city comicon right now he had some cool guests. Patrick Rothfuss came out at one point.

My wife got me a kitchen aid mixer for my birthday. She also got. Me the meat grinder attachment. Soooooooo fucking excited!

this sentence parses very strangely with that period after the "me," there.

The joy of typing on  a phone keyboard with fat fingers.

She got me the black one. It has the stronger motor and the bowl that can be raise and lowered. She also got me the spiralizer and the food processor attachment. I will be buying a couple of the pasta attachments. The ravioli one looks awesome.

The convenience of flying is entirely dependent on how far you're traveling...

I live in Seattle but do occasionally like to visit my folks back in Connecticut.  I can get there in a few hours flying.  Driving would take a week, one way.  That's not very convenient.  And that's not even on the save level as all the trips I've taken to Europe or Asia...

Basically if you think driving is more convenient it means you're not going very far.  There's a whole world out there.

Damn dude... It takes a week to drive? I drove from New Hampshire to Seattle alone on 3 days.

Home Loan approved and through underwriting. Contract signed. Building starts eventually.

When Searching for movies on Imdb I found a strange occurrence. John Leguizamo is missing from my Imdb app. I search for movies he is in and it doesn't show him in the cast list. I search for him specifically and the app crashes. What the fuck?

I didn't get a tax return because Obamacare.

Still saved me way more money than having pointless insurance, though.

I HATE insurance, but being a parent to a young child, it's a necessary evil. My wife works in insurance, and she knows how I feel, so we rarely talk about the actual nature of her employment. =P

I work in health insurance and it is not a fun thing right now. People are assholes and don't understand it. People also get mad at me because of the Affordable Care Act. Honestly. I do think there needed to be an overhaul of the health industry, but I think they started backwards. Overhauling and requiring insurance for everyone is not as important as transparency of cost for the doctor, in my opinion.

Started reading a series called Frostborn. It is like a D&D adventure in book form. A lot are like that, but never has one captured the essence so well for me.

Got married Monday. This was our cake.

Congrats man! Are you doing a honeymoon?

We spent our wedding night at a nice resort hotel. We will likely do a real honeymoon in a few years. With also trying to buy a house it didn't make sense right now.

I'm curious why Ten is with Amelia Pond?  is that a reference to the two of you as a couple in some way?

It's actually Tenth with Charlie from Supernatural. Tenth is my favorite. My wife loves supernatural. And we both love Van Gough. Also the episode of Doctor Who with him is one of our favorite episodes.

Started up a new hobby: archery. It's a lot of fun. I like the mental and coordination challenges that come with practice. I enrolled into one of those five weeks beginner classes and loving it. We practice at a public outdoor field.

Some of the guys (and gals) that come to this place have expensive recurve bows. Although I was told by someone that some of these advanced archers are sponsored for Olympic training.

Instructors have us starting at 20 meters. I'm thinking when week five rolls around, we'll go for the 40-60 meter targets. (The field can accommodate for 90 meters)

When I'm practicing, I focus on my sight and clear my mind. Strangely therapeutic. Only negative about it is that it doesn't improve my athleticism. I guess I'll have to stick to walking/running for the cardio, heh.

THIS is why I am excited to have my own house with some land. We are going to have over 2 acres. I will be setting up at least one archery target. I love recurve bows. I hate compound bows.

So with The Flash I was at least partly right. Now to see how right.
