I took a little time to play some more Chrono Cross. Still have the top-right "Escher room" to do in Fort Dragonia.
Objectively speaking, Cross is the better game. Subjectively speaking, I gleaned more visceral enjoyment from Trigger. Trigger, visually, also aged a LOT better.
It did, but I'd argue that Cross's soundtrack is better.
Finished Jade Empire today. I actually really liked it, but I knew almost nothing about it going in other than that it was considered a disappointment after KOTOR.
Maybe people wanted more sci-fi or D&D type settings?
I thought it was cool that they did something unusual and having spent time in Asia I could identify with the setting.
I got both endings, but the "evil" ending was a little silly.
Overall, a much better game than I was led to believe.
