I found this was one of the few pieces of battle music that I could still listen to after hearing it 500-1000 times. I still got a bit sick of it but it wasn't ear gougingly annoying like other pieces get after hearing them so many times.

I did like the fact that you can change the music in the tower later on in the game, if you're so inclined.

gaming naked, and/or sittin' on the pot, is a joyous experience that I strive to experience daily. I hope everyone else attempts this as well.

Just finished a mission in Liberty City Stories! :D

Is stomping a Goomba the same as pinching a loaf?

http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2008/06/27/survey-finds-that-canadian-men-game-naked-in-the-bathroom

With Canada Day just around the corner, Microsoft Canada decided to get in the spirit of the season by hitting Canadian media with a look into the private lives of computer gamers in Canada. It's not all igloos and flapjacks, apparently, as a survey conducted reveals that nearly 20 percent of men with Internet access admitted to playing games without their clothes on, while almost 10 percent have played in the bathroom.

Other interesting numbers reported by the survey suggest that only six percent of online Canadians have never played a computer game, 30 percent play computer games at work, and 27 percent play computer games in the bedroom. 43 percent of Canadians aged 18-34 reported their first computer gaming experience to be playing educational games in the classroom—I myself recall the classics Math Blaster and Math Circus, though my first game was Prince of Persia on an Apple Mac.

I can't imagine what prompted the question of "do you play naked?" for this survey, and I'm even further surprised by the strong response. However, the bathroom statistics don't surprise me—in fact, they even look a little low. I've always said that you're not a diehard gamer until you beat a level while on the throne. Obviously, the surveyors weren't asking the right Canadians.

What do you mean "maybe"? One Piece is infinitely superior to Bleach and One Piece. It's the general consensus.

General consensus is not always right.

Just finished watching Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig, as I never managed to finish the series the first time I got into it.

Much better than I expected it to be, given RTD's past record with finales....though he usually blows it in the second half.

The one thing that bugged me was
Code:

While watching it. I realised how typically Rose was acting.

Everyone's trying to formulate a plan to save the Earth and Rose sits there bitching "Who's she? (about Martha) I was here first! Why isn't the Doctor paying attention to me? Whinewhinewhine".

Fucking whorechrist.....My characters are all between levels 68-73 and I *still* get wiped out by Dormina and Calm Death from time to time.

Shit like that is just incredibly aggravating.

I'm still trying to max out my charts is Digital Devil Saga 1. It's repetitive and taking a long time, but I'm doing the sidequests now as well, which is helping.

As for Assassin's Creed, it's the only game I have ever bought and traded in. Easily one of the single worst games I have ever played in my life.

It looked so promising....and turned out to be a stinky pile of doo. Anything from Ubisoft will be a rental for me from now on.
4793  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Level 5's new RPG - White Knight story. on: June 27, 2008, 02:18:35 AM
In Sony's corporate strategy meeting, it was also announced that early anticipated RPG White Knight Chronicles (Shirokishi Monogatari) will be released in the 2008 financial year. The game is being developed by Level-5, the studio behind the Professor Layton games. The third-person game was playable at last year's Tokyo Game Show. It's expected to do brisk business in Japan.

Seinfeld does the same sort of thing, making you take a closer look at the everyday things in life and say, wow that is weird/stupid/silly etc.

Yes but the difference between them is Seinfeld had no balls.

Carlin had genuinely biting humour. And he wasn't afraid of offending people with his opinion. If you didn't like it....tough.

Seinfeld and Carlin should *never* be mentioned in the same sentence when talking about comedy.

4799  The Rest / General Discussions / 10 essential games on: June 23, 2008, 03:34:41 AM
Need For Speed High Stakes - good controls, decent graphics, great soundtrack, Fun To Play. Never played a better racer.

GTA 3 - Despite it showing its age, it's still the best example of the 3D GTA series, with the best story and voice acting.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence - I agree with Hidoshi but the Subsistance camera is what makes all the difference

Ico - Strikingly original, like a visual representation (to me) of the old Zork games, where you just explored. Perfect for new players or for the casual "Myst lover" types.

Katamari Damacy - I agree with Shiguma.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - A nice alternative to show people that games aren't all about shooting hookers and running over people. A solid translation and interesting characters actually make this something people want to keep playing.

Grandia - A fairly soft introduction to RPGs that's not too difficult, an easy battle system to learn and doesn't require *too* much grinding. A good gateway drug for RPG novices.
