4816  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Unoriginal Topic: Favorite Battle System on: June 13, 2008, 06:21:28 PM
I would say

Grandia's because it's fun.

Suikoden I & II's because it's also fun and it's was fun pairing characters together to discover new combos.

Atlus' Press/Turn system because you have to pay attention.

Shadow Hearts, because I play drums and it was fairly easy for me to use.

I can't stand Star Ocean/Tales system, as I find them too chaotic and hard to follow what's going on.

ADMIN EDIT:  And here I thought this thread would make it without a dumbass linking to torrent sites.  I should have know better.

Sorry.

As long as Suikoden 6 isn't on the Wii, I'll be happy.

Funny, I got to watch the episode last night and, if anything, reinforced how much I like Donna.

She certainly was *nowhere* near as over the top as Runaway Bride. I thought her acting was really restrained in this.

As for the spoiler above - Don't know where you got it, but cool beans!

My system had the RROD failure about a year ago and Microsoft fixed it for free and I was only without the system for about 2 weeks.

That's two weeks too long frankly.
I'll wait and see how the new models fare before I make a purchase.

The PS3's L2 and R2 buttons are fucked.

Yeah, I agree.

I got out my PS1 yesterday and the difference between the PS1 and PS3 controllers is quite amazing. The PS1 DS has real heft to it. The PS3 does not.

You'll get to visit 100s of worlds but all of them are backwater hick worlds. *sticks tongue out*

Got pissed off at The Answer in FES so started playing DDS1, as I realised I had never finished Part 2.

Started playing last Sunday and I'm at the Brutes base, about to take on Varin.

That's just what I've heard from word of mouth. If you were to pick one, which one would you choose?

One would *assume* that the Konami project is Suikoden VI. (And hope)

But we'll see.

30 Days of Night - which was better than I expected.

Cloverfield - which was pretty much as I expected. A bunch of annoying douches running around being filmed by a douche.

If you're going to make the perspective of the film from the "common" man's view, don't make the common man an unlikable prick.

Waste of potential.
4830  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / ...They're remaking "The Prisoner"? on: June 12, 2008, 10:07:13 PM
Last I had heard, Christopher Eccleston had been cast as Number Six.

It seems like a new Prisoner rumour pops up every year.

I'll believe it when I see it.
