Do you mean the Pompeii one? I did actually see it, and thought it was pretty bad, to be honest. It contained all the reasons I got tired with the series.

Yeah, I did.

I thought it was the first of the "new" Doctor Who to feel like an "old" Doctor Who. Really felt like an old Hartnell episode.

What didn't you like about it?

Iron Maiden - Another Life

God Damn, I love Killers.

I saw this a little while ago, but it looks like this is being as a daily strip.

Imagine if they went back and did all of the strips from the very beginning?

That would be sweet.
4924  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Star ocean 4 on: April 14, 2008, 10:22:20 AM
I dunno. Granted the Star Ocean remakes are Sony exclusive, but I get the feeling that this could be multi-platform.

Losfer's right though. Just announce the damn platform already.

The new series has Catherine Tate. Therefore Deg doesn't watch.

Watch this week's episode. Seriously.

You'll change your mind.

It was fucking *great*.

4927  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Death Note sucks on: April 13, 2008, 01:22:50 AM
The manga went off the rails when L died as well.

It just turned into "He knows! I know that he knows! He knows that I know that he knows!" etc.

It started off great, with a really interesting idea, but the last third of the story - issues 9-12 just had too many characters and was just ridiculous.

I can't remember a manga that had a poorer finish.

I'm getting my driver's license.

Soon as possible.

I don't have my driver's license.

Now they're saying it's going to be Jake Gyllenhal.

Who said it was an SRPG?

That's what I was wondering.

Just because FF12 RW was one doesn't mean this is going to be.

Fact - Rose and Jackie are 1,000,000 times more annoying than Donna.

The Fountain - Awesome, awesome movie. It's really beautiful to watch, and I'd definitely like to watch it again with greater concentration.

I watched it on mushrooms the first time I went to see it.

As for me? The classic "Predator".

The Wicker Man - with Nicholas Cage.

Had to watch it once out of morbid curiosity.

(I actually didn't mind Episode III of the prequels)

4935  Media / Single-Player RPGs / what is your addition to the console rpg formula? on: April 06, 2008, 12:17:26 PM
Unless the gameplay is fundamentally broken, I'm much more inclined to plow through an RPG with a good story/soundtrack but poor gameplay.

Knowing that I'm inevitably going to be doing level grinding and such, I'm far more inclined to do it for a payoff I feel is worth it rather than a generic story I'm barely interested in.

That said, I didn't finish Xenosaga II because the gameplay *really* sucked.
