Sounds interesting, if a little like SMT.

Looking forward to something new.

I thought a faggot was a bundle of wood or sticks.

How the hell are they eating it?

I don't disagree with you, but for me it was fine because I have a slim PS2 that is only a year old, so I didn't need the backwards compatibility for PS2 games and it plays PS1 games.

Yeah but, not everyone is going to have that. Some people may have older PS2s like me who want the full BC for all their games.

Thankfully, I got a 60 gig, but I'd be pretty fucked off if I bought an 80 gig PS3 and then my PS2 died shortly after.

So I've only started paying attention to this game now, via word of mouth.

Are people enjoying it?

Interesting. Gives me hope that it will be expansive like it looks.

By the time Wii shortages are over, I'll have MGS 4 and Little Big Planet and I just won't care.

4990  The Rest / General Discussions / Watershed Games on: March 29, 2008, 11:33:59 PM
Hmm - it's a tough call but I'd say Silent Hill was a real watershed moment for horror games, even moreso than Resident Evil.

It has better voice acting (comparatively) and is a hell of alot scarier. I know Alone in The Dark came out before both of the games I just mentioned, but I'd say SH is the one the most people sat in their living rooms and crapped their pants with.

Another one would be Doom. Not only for being one of the first FPS but also notable for being one of the first games to use shareware to promote itself.
4991  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Questions about PS3 or 360 on: March 29, 2008, 11:27:11 PM
Get a PSP, put custom firmware on it and play PS1 rpgs all day long.
4992  Media / Single-Player RPGs / what is your addition to the console rpg formula? on: March 29, 2008, 11:23:04 PM
I have a minor one - but it's one that's royally pissing me off in FF 7 right now.

If I walk from one room to another, I want the goddamn camera angle to stay *the same*.

I'm tired of walking from one room pressing up, walking into another room with a different angle, pressing up thinking it's going to push me forward and have it take me back to where I just came from.

Fix the camera.

Also, what's this about: "not believing in something does not constitute a faith." There's no logic to that argument. Any mathmatician can tell you that that constitutes a logical fallacy. Unless you define "faith" into a corner; as a very specific kind of belief (a definition I've never heard catagorically defined).

The argument was that not having faith in god automatically translated as having faith in the non-existence of god.

I think that argument is bullshit.

And those girl's parents should be put away in jail for murder.

And I think you meant "without."

You're right, I did. Thanks for spotting my mistake.

As Prime Mover said, an atheist has faith in the non-existence of God.

Not believing in something is not the same as having faith that something doesn't exist.

Faith is belief without proof.

I don't have faith that god doesn't exist. I don't care.
