5011  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Level 5 announces new game: A... DS Graphic Adventure? on: January 30, 2008, 09:06:08 PM
Yeah, it's coming out right after I go back overseas. FUCK.

This is in my top 5 for this year too, god dammit.

I think it's more of a graphic adventure.

A mystery, I believe.

I gave up on Assassin's Creed.
The game is unplayable and the story sucks.

I thought I might finish Persona 3 before I went back overseas on Sunday, but it doesn't look like I will. I've been playing it on PS3, and I don't have a thingie to exchange saves from memory cards, so I guess I'll just start over when I get there. :(
5013  Media / The Soundroom / Opeth singer returns to Bloodbath on: January 30, 2008, 12:16:31 PM
Swedish death metal supergroup BLOODBATH has issued the following update:

"So the time has come for BLOODBATH to once again poison the scene with a contagious doze of über brutal death metal. An old acquaintance in this zombified bloodline has once again re-visited his old home. We can now announce that the vocalist on the new mini-CD is none other than Mikael Åkerfeldt courtesy of OPETH.

"Second deathster to join the elite is Mr. Per 'Sodomizer' Eriksson (ex-21 LUCIFERS, ex-GENOCRUSH FEROX). Sodomizer's brutal death metal songwriting approach as well as guitar shredding is a highly welcomed element in the legacy of BLOODBATH."

Anal Cunt - I Lit Your Baby On Fire

Classic track, but I prefer Pottery is Gay.

For some reason, I've been on an Anal Cunt kick all day.

At the moment - Art Fag

Edit - Technology Is Gay

Edit - I Snuck A Retard In A Sperm Bank

You get the idea.....

I believe Neal is English and Neil is American.

I will wait until the game is out before I start bitching about it.

My name is also Neal.

I'm from Canada and I currently live just outside of Toronto.

The other Neal (Dincrest) on this board is the only other person I've ever seen who's spelled it that way.

I teach ESL English overseas and I've worked in both Korea and Japan. I'm going to be moving to Taiwan in February where I'll be working until the fall. If all goes according to plan, I'll be coming back to school for my education degree either in Ottawa or Montreal.

The one sport I really enjoy (if you can call it a sport) is scuba diving.
Love it. And I've been getting better at doing underwater photography, which is fucking impossible to do when you start. I spent two months in Thailand last year just mucking about with scuba courses and drinking girlie drinks on the beach and loved both.

No other real unusual hobbies - reading - I like horror and scifi.
Music - big death metal fan but also "classic" rock fan and drum & bass fan.
I was a fairly big sketcher when I was younger, and I enjoyed it, but I've let my skills lapse.

Mostly I enjoy travelling to new places because I get bored easily, which is partly why I'm going to Taiwan this time.

One sister and one nephew, who is already getting good at video games at 4 years old.
5020  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Is Enchanted Arms worth picking up for $25? on: January 25, 2008, 09:17:10 PM
Well, I'm going to hold off.
I'm leaving soon and it doesn't seem to be something that's a rush buy.
I'll pick it up when I come back in six months. Should be cheaper by then anyway,
That and I forgot I have to get some travel insurance, so I can't really afford new games right now anyway.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

I hear you can actually switch the dub to Japanese voices and use subs, correct?
5023  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Suikoden VI on: January 24, 2008, 02:58:35 AM
Or Shadow Hearts.

I get what you're saying. The question is, is it going to sell enough units to make it worth using a new engine, or is it worth sticking with an already installed user base in the PS2?

Entombed - Serpent Saints
5025  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Burnout Paradise on: January 24, 2008, 02:27:04 AM
If there were an icon for laughing, I'd use it, because it doesn't surprise me at all.

I won't be picking it up. The open world style is okay....but the announcer is a  tit and I refuse to buy a game with Wal-Mart ads.
