4  The Rest / General Discussions / Great Debate of the Week: Vigilante Justice on: October 17, 2007, 12:03:05 PM
My, my, my. Shiguma and Losfer are such hardliners!

My favourite argument:

As for the rebuttal I'll get in regards to "what if there is a mistrial and so and so is wrongfully accused and put to death even though he's innocent !" Well, the Earth is getting dangerously overpoppulated as it is. This will help clear up some space.

Dave has countered every argument and now you muse this parochial rebuttal? Marvelous.

As for vigilante justice I find it doesn't solve much if anything, except for the immediate satiation of vengeance.

I've started playing Front Mission 4 for the third time. The first two times playing I was hammered at the exact same level and quit in frustration. This time however I've been meticulously tuning my Wanzers and putting more thought into overall battle strategies. I've also been exploiting some of the AI quirks as well. I've  passed my previous impasse and am enjoying the game quite a bit more.

I've also felt the urge to play the second .hack game after watching a few of the .hack//SIGN episodes in weekends past. We will see if I can put up with the repetitive dungeon designs to make any headway. :)

I hate these stupid Most _____ lists. I don't get why people are so interested in them.

Because people love to disagree with them.

Pascual detected sexism in the way Ebbert was treated, wondering if a man would have been asked to change clothes. Do men dress inappropriately? “I see butt cracks, a lot of butt cracks,” she said.

Cute.

I'm surprised at the consideration Apple is showing its customers. Shouldn't they revel in the misery of their patrons?

It's stories like this that make me happy China is on the other side of the fucking planet. I guess that's what you get with a totalitarian government.

wow this article is horrible.

Care to explain why?

I thought the article chose appropriate games to showcase controversy that had somehow escaped the limelight, backed up with at least logical reasoning for why. However I did find the controversy of Fable and All-Pro Football 2K8 pretty weak.
11  The Rest / General Discussions / WHAT THE HELL IGN? on: August 15, 2007, 03:19:39 PM
I really don't see the problem here.

EDIT: I rescind my above statement as it is idiotic. This figurine is quite lame.

EDIT: Teddy Ruxpin is a bit before my time. What exactly was it? Just another 80's property?

My brother took the Xbox for the week so I plopped in Dino Crisis 2 in the interim of Splinter Cell’s absence. The graphics weren’t too bad, and I thought the game play was fun. Having the L1 button used to toggle between enemies makes a survival horror game with RE type camera angles so much easier to control. However, the story was pretty weak as was the translation. It was also on the short side at about 6 hours.
I’ll probably play some more Splinter Cell this weekend while I visit my dad’s and during the week maybe play Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (my first PlayStation 2 title).

End of chapter 5 in Xenosaga 3.  Many revelations concerning Shion's past.  HaKox is a very mean mini-game.

I agree with you that HaKox is a bit on the severe side. I had a lot of fun with it though.

15  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Anyone interested in Bioshock? on: August 06, 2007, 09:53:22 AM
I'm interested in the moral choices the game offers. The upgrading of weapons and atmosphere also add to its appeal. I'll be picking this up.
