So I bought Disgaea 3 recently, loving the game so far.
I died at the end of Chapter 1, got a Game Over, yet it allowed me to save and continue. Now I'm in Chapter 2. Kinda weird.. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

What no love for Capcom vs SNK 2?
Of all the VS games I like that one the most, it's more technical and not all flashy combo driving as MvsC2.

Also Tekken series is great, Namco need to bring T6 to the PS3 already.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes on the PSP, had great fun with that.
Played the PS3 demo of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and it looked and played great, looking forward to that one.

Best fight ever in a fighting game for me was when I played SF Alpha on the PSX at a friends house and we unlocked Dramatic Battle. Ken and Ryu vs M. Bison was epic I tell ya! EPIC!
Developers need to implement that stuff in fighting games more often, 2 players against end boss, hell make the boss cheap and hard. Makes the victory that much sweeter.

Ever since WWI in Paris, I'm in a blizzard games-mood, I installed Starcraft + Broodwar and Diablo 2.

I started with an Amazone first till lvl 7, but got bored and rerolled a Barbarian. Barbarians are awesome! =P

On Guitar Hero 3, I rock on easy, got perfect score on The Killers -  When You Were Young, but on medium I'm doing alright. 80- 91% on most songs.
Hard and Expert are going to kick my ass. =(

10  Media / General Games / Metal Gear Solid 4 on: June 16, 2008, 03:50:17 PM
Finally finished the game and it was great. No more Metal Gear Solid secrets, some revelations were ridiculous and others great.
MGS4 is tied with MGS3 for my favourite MGS game.

If you weren't a fan of the series already, I don't really see this one to change your mind. It's pretty much the same, lots of lengthy cut-scenes, controls that require the use of all your buttons, I mean come on it's MGS. They did improve on the controls somewhat, the enemy's A.I. not so much.
But saying the gameplay lacks, I don't agree. MGS lets you do lots of things. You can approach the battlefield/levels in different ways, go stealthy, go rambo-style, hell CQC every soldier if you want, it's all possible. The game comes with so many different guns and gadgets to toy around with, it's hours of fun.
Sure some of you will say, meh the controls suck too much, Uncharted or R&C plays smoother.  Well duh, Uncharted only has you running around taking cover, shooting bad guys. R&C is  pretty much standard platforming and shooting. I don't see them offering tons of different moves, that MGS clearly offers, which unfortunately requires a control set with a learning curve.
Uncharted and R&C are great games, but saying their gameplay shadows MGS's, no. Sure because of the amount of lengthy cut-scenes (and god this game had lots of it) it may seem short on actual gameplay, but are actually as lengthy as Uncharted and R&C. Kojima Productions just don't know how to fucking pace the story cut-scenes.

It felt to me like Hideo Kojima made this game for the fans and they will enjoy it the most. I certainly did. For the others well some will like it, some won't.

Who cares?

MGS4 is all done, now we're all waiting for FFXIII =P.

Act 3 was great, but damn Act 4 made me shed tears of pure bliss.

First the replay of MGS1 on the helipad was a nice surprise, but when Old Snake sneaks in and The Best is Yet to Come plays... just WOW. Also you can get that song after the boss fight and play on your Ipod.

Also Metal Gear REX vs RAY, HELL YEAH!!!!

Am now in Act 5. Gonna finish the game today, man I can't wait.

MGS 4 is frakkin' SEX!!

Am near the end of Act 2. Loving the game so far, the boss fight was awesome.

I love the gameplay, I usually go for the stealth sneak approach, but man whenever I get new guns and stuff... TOTAL JOHN RAMBO MASSACRE ASSAULT. Nothing says more fun than full automatic sniping and taking down helicopters and tanks with all different kinds of rocketlaunchers.

You guys know those issues that people are having with 60GB PS3s and GTAIV?

Guess who has a 60GB PS3?

Fuck, I had like 10 hours in the game, too.

I dont think it's only the 60GB PS3, but it has to do something with going online. The fix seems to be not to be logged on to your PSN at the moment.

I had my game hanging at a loading screen, but when I just turned my PSN off and rebooted everything seemed to work fine.

It's a shame, hope R* fixes it soon.

Iron Man was great, had a great time watching that in a packed theatre.

My PSN is Lyonaz.

Been playing 10 hours straight yesterday. Man this game is crazy, I pulled an old lady out of a taxi cab and she got hit by another taxi, so random, I laughed my ass off. This game has tons of awesome silly stuff like that.
