Tales of the World:  Radiant Mythology -  Apparently I am far behind in my crafting skills.  I get requests for gold and I can't even make silver, or I get requests for food with crafting requirements 40 more than my current ability.  I am also really bad about the one on one challenges.  They spam arte attacks and beat my ass down.  I can only beat some of them after leveling up 20 lvls.  I find the main story battles to be easy.  Perhaps it is because I am trying to do all the extra stuff first.

Day 2 of Hangout Fest.  Got a late start and missed 3 blocks of acts.  The first act we saw was The Electric Suns.  I had never heard of them previously but I liked all of their songs;  they made your body want to move.  Amos Lee made you want to chill out and groove to slow jams.  I tried to see Moon Taxi but the stage was small and audience space was limited so they wouldn't let people in.  So we went to stake a place at the Modest Mouse concert.  I didn't fall asleep this time unlike the first time I saw them.   It was a good show.  Got out of it late and couldn't get close enough to Fitz and the Tantrums.  Audio for them kept going back and forth between being good and being muffled.  So then went to checkout a few songs of The Flaming Lips.  Saw the whole set of The Killers.  By audience reaction, I think everyone (me included) preferred songs from their first album Hot Fuss.  Of course Mr. Brightside was the last song played.  Then I caught a few songs from Pretty Lights.  You could feel the bass.  Fun second day.

Oh funny thing that before this festival I never knew what weed smelled like.  Apparently it smells like skunk.  There is weed everywhere here and by the look of some people, other drugs as well.

At Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores.  Saw Allen Stone (very good), Balkan Beat Box (lively and fun), Bad Suns (heard them while sitting in a resturant, sounded good), the Black Keys (it's the Black Keys!).  My feet are killing me since we are walking to the beach in sandals and the hotel is a little over a mile away. Got sunburned on my forehead of all places.  Saw some girls that hula hoop during the concerts and a couple of people dressed as bears.  Off to day two.

Well I am a year out from the end of my cancer treatment so I finally can get my port removed.  Yay!  I still have to meet with the surgeon to schedule it.  Of course I am going to be busy till the end of the month.  My next week off, I am going to Hangout Fest.

Tried Portal 2, but I had to stop due to motion sickness.  I didn't expect to have to wear my sea bands for a puzzle game.

Tales of the World:  Radiant Mythology -  At first I was not excited about it being a game of fetch quests and kill x number of enemies.  But I like seeing old faces and some new ones I don't recognize.  Skits are my favorite part of tales games and it is those skits that keep me playing.  The only part I am dreading is when Shirley shows her face.  I think she is my most hated character of all time.  I like villains better than I do her.

So I marathoned the second season of The Following.  Half way I started to get bored and resorted to reading recaps and then fast forwarding episodes to the interesting parts.  I know it got picked up for a third season, which tells me Joe gets away again.  If that happens, I will stop watching and only tune in for the series finale.

Been feeling like playing adventure games so I did some PC gaming today and finished A New Beginning.  When I bought it, it was on sale in a bundle and always thought it was just some environmentalism game.  Boy was I wrong.  It had sci-fi, action, sabotage, and murder.  It is  pretty lengthy game, but it was so engrossing to me it didn't drag.  Well other than when I got stuck.  All in all, I would recommend it.  It goes on sale often.

Layton Brothers:  Mystery Room - It was entertaining, but nowhere as good as Ace Attorney (still need to play the latest one).  I am still holding out hope they release AA Investigations 2 here.  Not likely to happen.  :(

Continuing my ios blitz, I just finished Regency Love.  It is a wonderful otome dating game.  It is very text heavy, but that's a good thing since the writing is well done.  The music was soothing. I learned trivia and quotes.  I went for Mr. Claire first then got Ashcroft.  That's right I played the game more than once.  I loved it that much.  If you like otome games or Jane Austen you should play it.

Just finished Jacob Jones episode 1 and I thought it was super cute.  The voice acting was good and the writing was humorous.  The puzzles were definitely easier than the Layton series.  I will definitely buy the other episodes when they are released.

I bought Little Mermaid on Blu-Ray and recently watched it with my bf's niece and I can honestly say I still love it.  "Part of Your World" is my personal favorite with "Kiss the Girl" close behind.  "Under the Sea" is my bf's favorite.  So it had three songs I still sing 25 years later...holy crap that was a long time ago.  I had to google the release date.  Damn I feel old.  Who knows.  Maybe 25 years later adults will be singing "Let It Go. "

Anyways I see The Little Mermaid as being a story about being born in the wrong body and finding the freedom to be who you were truly meant to be.  Of course that is my adult take on it.  I don't think the kid thought about it.

Frozen -  I thought I would like it more than I did.  I know kids across America are singing Let  It Go, but I wasn't enthralled with the music.   It just isn't as good as The Little Mermaid or the other Disney movies I grew up on.  Maybe I'm just older and not into singing animated movies.

I never played the Shadow Hearts games, believe it or not.

You are missing out.  I liked the dark gothic setting mixed with whacky characters and weapons.

Actually I was curious myself and went to look and it isn't bad.  Someone was giving impressions and said the dating part had repeated dialogue making it mechanical and lifeless.
