The history of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is now so complicated that every time I tell it I contradict myself, and whenever I do get it right I'm misquoted. So the publication of this omnibus edition seemed like a good opportunity to set the record straight--or at least firmly crooked.

I'll buy it.  I rather liked the first game, especially the art style.  I feel like I must support adventure gaming.

Odin Sphere -  Freaking hell, I'm playing on easy and I'm getting killed repeatedly.  I'm currently on Mercedes epilogue chapter.

I nabbed it day one and finished it up that day I think.  I loved every minute of it.

Love the music in the Katamari games.  They are so damn catchy.
36  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Legend of Legaia (or an excuse!) on: July 02, 2007, 02:56:27 PM
Legend of Legaia was the second RPG I ever played so I tend to look back on it fondly.  I liked the game well enough to play the second one and I would buy a third game if it ever came out.  Of course I've been known to have questionable taste in games and in men.

As for LoD, I hated that game because I didn't like the battle system will all the timing.

Ico is so great.  It's etheral and dreamy and not a waste of time at all.

As for your friend, just tell him the truth.  He should be able to handle it if he's your friend.  Don't say anything too harsh like "I question your level of taste".  Just say that you notice you like different things and you aren't sure the game would be something you'd rave about, but you'll keep an open mind about it and play it when you feel the urge.
37  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition on: July 01, 2007, 09:09:23 PM
So I picked this up Friday since I missed out on all the previous iterations.  Anyways, this game is fun even though I found it to be kinda hard.  I'm not used to any action/shooter games, and I found my self overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies.   I did a lot of running away and a lot of dying too.  Great game!

AI3 was an enjoyable AI game.  I don't know what it is about that series, but the games always freeze up on me.  Luckily it only happened twice this time.  Perhaps they can get it down to once or *gasp* none at all in the next game.

Editing this to add that RE4 (Wii) is a lot of bang for your buck.  Great game!
39  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm on: June 24, 2007, 12:43:19 AM
Just having 5 dungeons isn't that bad.  On the plus side, you learn where everything is rather quickly.  You'd think with only 5 dungeons, the game would be short, but it isn't.  I'm in the last chapter and I'm about 40hrs in.  I'm trying to do all the quests though.

Yeah, adding more blades would have definitely helped.

I'm playing the game too and OMG Nell is super annoying.  I hate the voice acting for her.  Other than that, I'm enjoying the game.  Though it isn't my favorite AI game, it's still a solid entry in the series.

Deja Vu -  It was a good distraction from studying.  The girl in the film is beautiful.  It's so not fair.

Da Vinci Code -  Finally saw it and yeah, I realize not being in a hurry to see the film was a good thing.  I never read the book, so I never got into the hype.  It was just okay for me.  Tom Hank's hair was horrible.

I love WA2.  It's so bad it's good.  Like others have said, it was translated badly. I was getting a heavy incestous vibe between two characters that I prayed was due to a crappy localization and not there in the orginal game.

Beat Super Paper Mario and I'm not really sure what category to put it under.  Anyways, it was short but sweet.

Beat Super Paper Mario (Wii) -  It was short but it was loads of fun.  It was really easy too.

Super Paper Mario -  I'm buying maps so I can go on treasure hunts.  Anyways,
Code:
I just got Luigi but lost Peach and Bowser.
