We recently implemented "Meatless Mondays" in our house in an effort to wean ourselves off of eating meat with every meal. I like it because I am forced to be creative and try new things. I could cheat and make grilled cheese or pasta, but my wife bought some vegetarian cookbooks. I've now ingested such things as Zucchini lasagna and Kuku.
I plan on trying some of those Indian dishes Neal talked about in another thread. They sounded delicious.

I think I've decided to get this game. Are there any differences between the 360 and PS3 versions? I'd probably get the PS3 one simply because I have more room on the hard drive.

Oh, come on guys! Easy Cheese kicks ass! Sure, I've probably had it only once or twice in the past 10 years, but it's just so open to possibilities! Kinda like a spray can of cool whip. Of course you inject that stuff right into your mouth. Duh!
Easy Cheese works best with crackers. I liked putting it on Doritos. Flavor explosion!
I am a big cheese guy. I like going to Trader Joes(anyone else have these stores?) and exploring the cheese section. A good extra sharp cheddar can make my week.

I'm also married(11 years)
I have a 9 year old son. He freakin' loves Mario and just recently saved up his allowance to buy Super Mario Galaxy 2.
I am a gardening nut(degree in Horticulture). English cottage gardening being my favorite style.
I take my camera with me everywhere I go. I take far too many pictures.
One of my favorite breakfasts involves 2 waffles with peanut butter spread on them, cut up bananas, and honey. Yum!
I am 100% introverted and rarely spend time with anyone outside of work or home. I like it this way.
I spend inordinate amounts of time judging others.
I am very much an atheist and proud of it, but it rarely comes up in my day to day life.
I have a dog named Vlad and a cat named Merlin.
I cannot listen to mainstream radio or my ears bleed.
I cannot stand onions, mustard, and salsa. I don't get how anyone could possibly like these things.
I love movies, but rarely agree with the general public(i.e. Taken, The Blind Side, and The Hangover sucked)
I hardly ever play rpgs anymore. Unless it's an action/rpg like ME.
If there's an easy setting I take it. Life is hard enough. I prefer my games to be fun.

The Hangover was totally overrated and rarely funny. Plus, Zach Galifianakis is incredibly obnoxious.
anyway...

Over the weekend:

Alice in Wonderland - All show and no go. It looked pretty good, but everything else was awful. I don't get why this did so well.

Despicable Me - Mildly entertaining movie. The minions are fun, but the rest is totally predictable and not as fun as it could have been. bummer.

Finished Limbo. Great game. Everyone should play this.
I suppose I'll carry on with InFamous for now. I love being blasted by super sharp shooting reapers from 4 buildings over.
I think I'm going to download Deathspank. That looks like fun.

I finished it last night. Great game! Sadly, I had to ck gamefaqs for a couple of the tougher puzzles. Dying 1000 times will do that to you.

I'm sorry about that - it's from my own interpretation anyways.  It's pretty vague - stick around til after the credits though; so you're not scratching your head by the end.
Code:
After the credits? I watched the whole thing and didn't see much after the credits. It just goes back to the main screen. I imagine there could be several interpretations of the ending, or even the game itself. Is he dead? dreaming? inbetween? The girl in the end is presumably his sister. Is SHE alive? Dead?
or does the game just call for a bif ol
 WTF?

I am actually in the same boat as Mr. Britton. For the longest time all I played was jrpgs(with the occassional metroid/castlevania/Zelda thrown in) and thought they were the best games EVAR! I didn't even give other games a chance, especially wrpgs. I got an xbox and tried out Kotor. After an hour or two I gave up on it. Way too complicated for me. Then I tried Fable. It wasn't the best, but it was still kinda fun. What REALLY turned me around was getting a 360. For a while all I played was western developed games. Dead Space, Gears of War, Mass Effect. I bought Lost Odyssey, but gave up pretty quick. The only good part was the memories, or whatever they were called. Then I tried Vesperia. Another lame jrpg cast and story.
Since then I've played through Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2. Bioware makes it very difficult to go back to silly jrpg stories.
I still need to play FFXIII, but just can't get myself to do it. Actually, the time commitment is the biggest roadblock. If it was a 30 hr game, I may have already played it. 70 hr games I just don't have time for anymore.
There are absolutely ZERO jrpgs on my radar right now. I am most excited for the new Metroid coming at the end of this month.
I'm also digging the shorter arcade games like Limbo. Only 4 hrs, but a great game that I can actually finish. I'm going to dl Deathspank, too, as that looks like fun.

But who is REALLY the invader?  Our homes are not natural structures.  Maybe...just MAYBE, we invaded first, and this is there way of saying a big FUCK YOU to all of us and fighting back.

This is actually the correct answer.

Insects kick ass. Spiders especially kick ass. They eat all the other annoying ones like flys and mosquitoes. If one comes in the house I try to find a way to get it out without killing it.
If worthless things like flies, earwigs, etc. come around they get squished. No guilt.

Limbo - I've played for maybe 4 hours now and it seems like I'm almost through it. We've got some serious Mode 7 stuff going on here. Funny thing is...This game almost could have been done on the SNES. Not the details, of course, but the overall game is very simple. I dig it.
2156  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Does anyone actually like random battles? on: July 29, 2010, 02:00:50 PM
What she said.
I was ok with them when that was the only option. It's been awhile since I've played a game with random battles, and I'm not sure I could stomach them anymore. Heck, I barely have time to play rpgs, let alone worry about bumping into invisible enemies.
2157  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: LIMBO [XBLA] on: July 29, 2010, 10:40:17 AM
Yeah, Dice, if you could NOT talk about the ending, that would be grrreeeaaat. I know what you said doesn't reveal much, but this game is all subtleties. Mild spoiler tags at least.
I think I'm 2/3rds of the way through or so. Some of these puzzles have been tough to figure out. I've already died TONS of times. Great game so far.

You honestly can't see the problem with calling homosexuality wrong? It's oppression by condemnation. Let me ask you this, would it be acceptable if I used your line of thinking to call out interracial relationships? Segregation? Hate doesn't have to be aggressive or vitriolic to be hate. You're seeing an inherent part of someones identity as wrong.
Aren't you kinda doing the same thing? You're condemning her for her religious views, which I would argue are just as much a part of her identity.... Just sayin'
I had no intention of getting involved in this but...
Religion is a choice (at least when you get older and can make decisions for your self)
homosexuality is not.

Kudos to everyone for salvaging what could have been the quickest locked thread in RPGFan history.
I believe the health benefits of wine come from the grapes. Red wine in specific.
A quick googly search netted lots of results:

I'm with Kevadu on pairing wines/beers with food. A good red wine plus steak = delicious.

I am! I was checking gamerankings like I always do and saw this game called Limbo on top. I never heard of it, but checked a few reviews. I was totally sold and dled it over the weekend. The game has a very distinct graphic style and feel. Kinda morbid, really. Some of the puzzles are very clever, and I feel good when I solve them. The sound is sparse, but effective, and works better with headphones on.
