Personally, I think that's the thing i like about that movie. The fact that it's SO over the top and SO implausible kinda makes me enjoy it more. I've seen too many realistic action movies and a flick like this kinda stands out to me. I was definitely entertained. Plus, I rarely spend time with the extras for movies, but as soon as it was over I was watching deleted scenes and stuff like that. I don't do that with movies that suck.

Boondock Saints - I'm conflicted on this one. I think I liked it, but there was a lot wrong with the film. Perhaps there was just too much implausible stuff happening for my logical mind to deal with.

The Libertine with Johhny Depp. This movie pretty much sucked. Even Depp wasn't that good in it. I'm not going to bother writing anything more about. Don't waste your money.

Saw the movie. I enjoyed it , despite several ridiculous moments. Jack running with that stick full of fruit on his back. Speaking of which, how the hell did he get to be chief of those people, anyway? The fight in/around the "waterwheel" or whatever it's called. The sequence was too long and stupid. Elizabeth is now an expert swordswoman? When did that happen? The Captain Jack/Elizabeth sexual tension thing doesn't work for me. Jack is just too weird. The Kraken was a bit overused. The final scene with Jack is absolutely ridiculous. He is not a hero and should have not been made to act like one. I picture him jumping over the side of the boat rather than charging the beast. I also don't buy how Will got the key away from Davey.
I guess I had more problems with the movie than I thought. I did like the Davey Jones character. Any baddie who plays a pipe organ is a cool baddie. Overall, it was still enjoyable, and I look forward to the last one next year.

For me, it's more about respect than anything. I don't really care if you like my gaming habit, or even partake in it, just don't disrespect it, or me.
Fortunately, my wife DOES enjoy gaming, and has never thought less of me for choosing it as a hobby. I believe, while it is good to share some interests, it is equally important to have something for yourself.

Watched The Brothers Grimm about a week ago. Odd movie. Started out kinda goofy, then got all serious towards the end. The movie didn't know what it wanted to be. Just odd.
Watched Brokeback Mountain Sat. night. I was expecting this to be a lot better than it was. Not a bad movie, just very sloooooooow moving. I give those two guys a lot of credit for taking on these roles. I don't like how the resolution was presented, but I understand it.

I like this James fellow. Plus, I thought the term "RPG lore" fit the topic just fine. Nothing wrong with taking ones hobby seriously, even if it is "just" video games. Some of us have been playing games for over 20 years now. I'd say I'd have to be pretty serious about a hobby to keep doing it that long. I've heard plenty a time about FF saving Square from bankruptcy/shutting down. Never thought much about til now.

I was running around killing Liquid Metal and King Metal Slimes for about four hours last night.
You say this like it's an easy thing to do. I think I was only able to kill a couple liquids, and the few Kings I ran into took off right away. I chuckled when you wrote how you were tired of the game after a couple weeks(maybe?). Play it for 96 hours over 5 months and come back to me.
Anyway... I am still playing God of War. Doing Posiedons challenge now. This game is bad ass.

Playing God of War. I'm enjoying the simplicity of it all. Every now and then you need a "Beat the shit out of everything and anything" game. This is very well done. I am saved on the rooftops of Athens. I bought Nan Parappa the Rapper after listening to her complain about not owning for quite a while. That game looks damn pixelly(word?) now, but she likes it well enough. You gotta believe!
