46  The Rest / The Helper Monkey / Re: PS2 & Blue-bottom discs on: February 20, 2009, 12:37:48 PM
Well, like I said, my PS2 is brand new (albeit an older production model) so I don't think I have to worry about DREs for a while. I just want to know if it's "safe" for my system to play CD-ROM games on it. I'd like the laser to last as long as possible.

Do PS2 blue-bottom discs (CD-ROMs) harm the system's laser?

I recently purchased a factory sealed 390001 model fat PS2 when my launch model bit the dust since they're known to be the most relliable, and at the same time purchased my first ever blue-bottom game, SSX. When I play SSX, compared to my silver-bottom DVDs, it spins crazy fast in the drive and makes a lot more noise. Is this in any way harming my laser or other internal drive components by putting excessive stress on my machine?

My favorite song ever sung in concert. It's simply beautiful. RIP George and Billy.

Ah, that's good to know. Thanks for the quick replies, guys. I don't think I could stand reading that butchered English for multiple chapters.

Does the entire game contain written dialects or just the first chapter? I absolutely cannot stand reading that shit.

Panasonic Viera TH-50PX80U 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV for $998 shipped at Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Viera-TH-50PX80U-50-Inch-Plasma/dp/B00142MUDI

This is an amazing plasma TV for the price. Viera blacks are almost as deep as Pioneer Kuros, for a fraction of the price.

He's the former drummer for Blink-182.
54  The Rest / General Discussions / "Clearing" your college transcript? on: December 26, 2007, 03:40:57 PM
More than likely this is not true but there is always a possibility. Is it possible to totally wipe out your college transcript becuase of low grades 1st year and start out fresh? Of course money is involved, but I've never heard of anyone do this, so I highly doubt this is possible.

Any opinions? I'd like to start college over with a clean slate as a freshman, even if it requires losing the few credits I did earn. :-/

When I think of chess, I think of old fogies playing a board game in Central Park. Art is the last thing to cross my mind.

Dincrest--where does your sig quote come from? A '90s cartoon? I remember hearing that when I was a kid, heh.
