Okay, I'm about 5 hours into this game and actually haven't really done anything. I saw the parade with the new Consul. All I've been doing is hunting. Found the Thexera, but haven't been able to defeat him...just been trying to level up. I think Vaan is level 5...don't have any other party members at the moment. I have to say though the game is amazing. Graphics are gorgeous and the music is so epic. I've heard the music isn't too much of anything special but I actually like it very much. I wish you could block while fighting, but that is the only drawback I've come across in my relatively short time playing.

Well, I was looking forward to FFXII until I played the demo...now I'm not so sure. The battle system has me questioning the game. I just couldn't get used to the battle system....it seemed very difficult. As I'm scrolling through menus to decide if I want to "attack" or use magic or an item the enemy is continuing to attack me...kinda like in FFX-2 (which I gave up playing because of this fact). In the demo there were two areas to play. One area the game paused while we scrolled through menus and the other area it did not. Will this be an option to choose?

I can only buy two games and I was thinking about two from this list. Any thoughts on which two:

My recommendations are: Dragon Quest 8...great graphics and gameplay...story is predictable but the immense size of the explorable area makes up for this.

Grandia series...overall a great series. In my opinion this series had some of the most likeable characters and one of the best battle systems in all of role playing games. Grandia Extreme was the weakest of all the Grandias though.

FFX- incredible graphics, twisting storyline, fun interactive battles.

Zelda series....same thing as the Grandia series. Although more action oriented. These games are some of the best. Great gameplay.

Movie--
In the original movie at the end when the credits are rolling is the music supposed to sound like it's skipping or getting distorted?

SAC--
How is it that all the members can become invisible? In the movie was only the major able to do this? And in the movie didn't the major have to remove her clothes to blend into the environment? In the TV show it's different.

I'm confused.

I was wondering how long dvds last. I've heard people say they start breaking down as early as 4 years and as late as 20-30 years after you buy them. Others have said they are nearly infinite. Remember the days of video tape? I have vhs tapes that are nearly 20 years old and still look fine. So as I'm looking at my anime dvd collection I'm wondering is it worth it to keep collecting them on dvd? Will they hold up and last? Any thoughts? Thanks.
