Can't bring myself to search the last 30 pages of replies to see if this has been posted:

Thank goodness for you, Darilon.  I would totally have messed up a bunch of that stuff and had a messed up baby.

I am totally forwarding that pic to... a million people. :)

That's what I said when I saw it too!  But they're still saying it's Cole...  Anyway, that video looks great.  I was worried when he wasn't busting out the electricity for a long time, but then he did, and I thought "whew - they were just trying to demo different stuff."  The wall-sliding stuff was sweet!  And the freaking electric tornado thing at the end...?  Exciting. :)

Along these same lines, I've been playing the demo for Crackdown 2 this morning, and although I loved the first one (and inFamous), I haven't really fallen for Crackdown 2.  Anyone else playing that and/or looking forward to inFamous 2?

Not my favorite season, not my favorite doctor (and I have only really watched the new stuff), but certainly not a bad season or doctor.  I didn't feel like the Silence thing or the exploding Tardis thing were a horrible thing to do, OR like they were the central mystery of this season.  I thought it was obvious that the cracks were the central mystery.  The Silence and the exploding Tardis go together in my mind as "the next big thing."  I don't mind at all that they drew over into the next season.

I <3 the Wheel of Time series a ton, and therefore Robert Jordan, but...

I felt the same way, that some of the characters changed in this book, but for the better.  Finally, some of these people are freaking growing up!  For example, at one point, Rand gets something wrong, and Aviendha thinks to herself that he's not an idiot - he just doesn't know better on this one, and she needs to teach him about it.  That NEVER would have happened in a Robert Jordan Wheel of Time book, and it REALLY needed to.  He would have had her go off on a rant for several pages about what a moron Rand is and how can she be expected to deal with a moron like him who can't even get simple things right!!!!!!!!!!

So yeah.  Love the series, but also love the way the new guy has honored the old stuff, but still made some of the changes that absolutely had to happen in order to get to a good ending.

Oh, and yeah - Ituralde is a pretty cool guy.  My feeling is that he's basically Napoleon, except that he's not in a position to take over the world himself.

Bravo, Mac!  Color me impressed!

Wow - that looks cool and scary at the same time.  Hopefully, they haven't added too many new elements - you know, broken the system.

The other night, Radioland Murders was on.  It started when I should have been going to sleep, but I stayed up and watched it anyway, because there's something irresistible about that movie to me.  It's not the best movie ever, but there's just so much about it that I like.

Been watching the first few episodes of Doctor Who season 5 (the new ones, that is), but I'm staying away from the Doctor Who thread - don't want spoilers. :)

Today, we bought and watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.  Pretty good stuff.  Might have to buy the soundtrack... and maybe Commentary! The Musical for good measure.

We also bought and watched Shutter Island.  We like Leo. :)  Wild stuff.  My wife's a lot less sure about what's true and what isn't at the end than I am, which is totally fine.  I think:

Code:
That yeah, Leo's really had a realization that he killed his wife.  But I think it's deliberately left gray whether he's lost it again after the breakthrough or has chosen to sort of commit suicide by pretending that he's lost it.

Green Mile
I don't really get sick of this movie.  What's there to say?  Touching and interesting story - and emotional when need be.  ...one thing that ALWAYS strikes me odd, but do you find the wardens of the green mile much too soft?  IMO, especially given the southern setting, especially given the times, and especially given their title; I don't find the movie is too realistic in terms of how generous and respectful they are to the death row inmates.  Nonetheless.  Love love.

I read the book before seeing the movie, and I seem to remember that they explain that by saying that both the guards and the prisoners knew that the prisoners were there to die.  That's pretty stressful, so they didn't give the prisoners crap unless they asked for it, and the prisoners knew it.

The Prestige
Came back to this one.  I love it.  I don't think I can get sick of the lore/setting of the film.  I love the victorian(?) setting amongst two rivaling magicians.  Of course, the film becomes a bit far-fetched; but I think Nolan re-wrote history in a clever way to make an engaging story.  And..c'mon... Tesla!  Fucken Bowie! xo - hottest old man ever.  C'mon guys, you must agree. ;P

Everybody <3s Bowie. :)  He's a cool guy.

Just saw the book of eli, it was pretty cool, felt like fallout 3 - the movie sometimes lol.

That is EXACTLY the impression the trailers gave me.  I plan to watch it as soon as I can find it in a Redbox.

Saw a documentary tonight called "Best Worst Movie," about the cast of the movie Troll 2 when it became a surprisingly popular cult hit 20 years after it was filmed.  Troll 2 is one of those movies that has been called "worst movie ever," and still has a number of rabid fans.  It's currently playing at the Tower Theater in Salt Lake City, and since Troll 2 was filmed in Utah, some people from the cast still live here, and go to the showings of the documentary.  It was totally worth seeing, although I wish I had seen Troll 2...

http://bestworstmovie.com/ has a listing of where and when it's playing.

Don't think I remembered to say that I saw Iron Man 2.  It was fun, and that's what I wanted it to be, so I'm happy. :)

Also, last weekend, bought Dogma and Dr. Strangelove.  Had seen the TV version of Dogma before, had never seen Strangelove.

Now I've watched Dr. Strangelove, and I am happy that I've finally found a Kubrick movie I like.  I've seen several others before now, but I've hated them all.

And I've seen the normal Dogma now, and I still like it, but it's crazy stuff.  Don't think I'd like other Kevin Smith movies, but I like this one.

Watched the entire series of Twin Peaks over the last few weeks.  Cool stuff, but the last episode is perhaps the most insane hour of TV I've ever seen.  As I would have expected from Lynch. :D  Gotta watch Fire Walk With Me still.
