I just read this article:
http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/don-draper-curse.php

So I had to come back and say that I don't wear suits unless I really have to, and although I've always liked hats, I've been wearing them every day for something like 3 years now, since... about a month before Mad Men started. :)

That's a sad thought, Dice (that your friends would leave you if you dressed differently).  I fall more to the other end of the spectrum.  Outside of making sure that the way I dress doesn't affect my job, I don't freaking care what other people think about the way I dress.  I wear hats pretty much every day, and I've talked before about the fact that I travel, so it's pretty much one hat per week.  This week, it's a bowler. :)

I haven't cut my hair in just about a year now.  I haven't combed it in probably 4-5 months.  Au naturel! And my glasses will forever be crooked after a having a volleyball spiked directly in my face!

Hah!  Good to know I'm not the only one something like that's happened to. :)

Stupid glasses.

Battle Royale - crazy stuff. Gotta love it. :)

On a completely opposite note, I rewatched both Meet the Robinsons and Bolt this week.  I know that Disney did a number of crappy movies for a while, but those two are seriously good.  If you haven't seen them, you should.

Outstanding work again.  You're quite good at this!

Also, I looked at your site and saw that you had a drawing of Mr. Flibble, which is awesome. :)  Until recently, my signature was a quote from Red Dwarf.

Whew.  I thought it was stupid that they said people really weren't connected with Cole in the first game.  Yes we were!  Glad they paid attention to the response to the new design.

Watched The Unsinkable Molly Brown last night - it's an oldie, but not half bad.

Gosh... it's pretty character-driven.  It starts out with the classic "protagonist with amnesia" trope, but I liked the way it developed from there.  You get into the deeper conflict between the titular princes, but not always how you'd expect.

Last week, I read the first book in the "Chronicles of Amber" series by Roger Zelazny.  I liked it quite a bit.   Thankfully, when I got it at a used book place, I got the whole first series. :)

Saw "Lars and the Real Girl" today. It was a really quirky, endearing film. Ryan Gosling is an amazing actor-- I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face.

Ever hear of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir?  One of my neighbors is a member of that group, and she's every bit as churchy as you'd think.  We often say that she's thinking so far inside the box that she doesn't even know there's a box.  Someone told her she should totally see that movie.  Fortunately, we talked her out of it before she watched it and died of a heart attack right there in the theater. :)

I always loved that show.  Wanted the chance to play Harold Hill some time when I was still acting... but as a low bass, I don't have the range for his high tenor songs. :(

This seems mighty interesting and different.  The kind of thing that's worth supporting, as long as it's done well.

Yay for not space marines!

Can't bring myself to search the last 30 pages of replies to see if this has been posted:

Thank goodness for you, Darilon.  I would totally have messed up a bunch of that stuff and had a messed up baby.

I am totally forwarding that pic to... a million people. :)

That's what I said when I saw it too!  But they're still saying it's Cole...  Anyway, that video looks great.  I was worried when he wasn't busting out the electricity for a long time, but then he did, and I thought "whew - they were just trying to demo different stuff."  The wall-sliding stuff was sweet!  And the freaking electric tornado thing at the end...?  Exciting. :)

Along these same lines, I've been playing the demo for Crackdown 2 this morning, and although I loved the first one (and inFamous), I haven't really fallen for Crackdown 2.  Anyone else playing that and/or looking forward to inFamous 2?
