Yeah, Burnout Paradise is one lots of people loved, but the sandbox thing kind of turned me off, too.  It's cool, but I just don't like it as much as the previous games.  You can get Burnout Revenge on the 360, and it's out-freakin' standing.

Supernatural... but on DVD. :)

I played Borderlands for a few hours last night. I picked the girl(forget the class name) and I hit level 14.  I found some kick ass guns too, like a shock damage rocket launcher and a 98 damage sniper rifle. I got the latter by revisiting a boss I'd previously beaten. I'm loving this one so far so I'm going to have to check out the online co-op soon.

I was listening to a gaming podcast today and they essentially said "skip this if you aren't going to play online." Sounds like you'd disagree?

Why are you idiots replying to a spambot? :P

No one else will talk to us?

Haha - I forgot about Evolution.  That is a good show!

Watched part of The Fountain again this morning because it happened to be on while I was getting ready for work.  Crazy movie.  I think it helped that I'd seen it before, though.

Stephen King - The Eyes of the Dragon.  This is around the 6th or 7th time I've read this. King really should have done more fantasy/fairy tale stuff.

I agree!  I keep a few extra copies, and when someone says "Ooh, I'd never read Stephen King.  He's all scary demons and stuff," I give them one and say "Here, read this.  I promise it won't be anything like what you're expecting."  (Seriously - my wife picks them up at a local thrift store for 75 cents.)

OK - A Scanner Darkly's over, and it was cool, but bizarre.  Glad I saw it, but it demanded all of my attention, which rarely happens with movies.

What?  Keanu's awesome in that! ;)

Watching a movie with him right now - A Scanner Darkly.

Jennifer Hale is the best!  This game will show up at my house on Monday.  Very excited to start playing it. :D

I'm a nerd, I love comics, like math & physics... but I couldn't make myself like this show.  Sorry.  Probably it's just because I hate sitcoms soooo much.

Wow, Geocaching looks like great fun, and perfect for really learning MotionX on my iPhone. My only question is, when I do a search for caches in my area, how do I narrow it down to only recently found (or unfound) caches? There's like 250 pages of caches, and it doesn't seem to be sorted in any particular order.

When I go to the site and search on a location, it sorts the caches by proximity to the coordinates I gave.  On the left hand side of the results, it should give a distance and a direction from the point you asked for.  Outside of that, I've never actually tried sorting, although I do try to look at whether one's been found recently or not.

Very nice, MGF.

And Moonlight, yeah - for whatever reason, we've never stopped posting in this thread, so you're in the right place. :)

Oh my gosh - I have totally wondered how that book would seem to anyone who'd read the original, and how they managed to put in the zombies and still have it somehow go with the original stuff.  If you feel like giving more info, I for one would be interested.

Oh, and to give myself a break from re-reading the Wheel of Time series, I've been re-reading the Alvin Maker series by Orson Scott Card.  He's a grade A nutcase these days, but that's still a great series (and one that started a long time ago), and if he ever writes the last book, I'll totally read it. :)

Eric, I'm gonna have to go with Gamespot on this one.  It got their "punishing difficulty" award, described as: "You might be good enough at games to make your way through this one, but when you visit some message board and start bragging about how it was 'no big deal,' you're just making a fool of yourself."

I'm too lazy to look through them all, but I'd be surprised if there was a single review that didn't say "this game is really hard."

So, I went out geocaching in Boulder this week, and saw a huge deer.  At least a four point... but I wasn't close enough to count exactly, and the picture I took is blurry. :(  But it was cool to see a deer - I don't see any by my house.
