It's weird - I played it on PSP and really liked it.  Grabbed it for the DS and tried it... and I hated it.  Pretty much for the same reasons you guys are saying.

Esper, have you seen the new Red Dwarf episodes that came out recently (like last month)?  I have 2 of them... really need to finish up and get the other.

I just found out about the ammo press in The Pitt.  Makes me want to buy that expansion so I can have access to it. :(

Finally met Three Dog in Fallout... after 56 hours.  Also tried out Henry Hatsworth and have played it for way too many hours this weekend. :)

Played some more Fallout 3 today, and will have to load up an old save when I get back to it, because I accidentally triggered something bad (skipping an important part of the main quest).

Then I tried out the demo of inFamous... and promptly went to the store and put down the cash to pre-order it.  :)  I loved Crackdown, and this reminds me of it in a good way.

I figured out how to get Stars out of him so I don't think he'll be lording over me for long.

I was wondering - what are stars good for?  I was playing the original the other day, and was getting stars, but didn't know why it mattered.

Stars let you throw Uppercuts which do a lot of damage.

Ah - thanks. :)

Well, you know, after seing uncharted 2 gameplay footage this doesn't seem so impossible anymore:

Wow.  What we can do in video games these days amazes me.

Tooker, I've got inFAMOUS because I manage a video store and we got the game a few days ago. It doesn't actually come out until the 26th or something. I've put in quite a few hours with it over the long weekend. I'm very impressed with it overall.

Lucky dog.  After my last post, I saw that there's a demo coming out on the 21st, so I'll be downloading that as soon as I get home that day.

Also, in case I never said so, your tag is the best ever.  Fraggle - underground.  Nice.

Cool - thanks for the info.  Glad I got to it while I could.

More inFamous today. I have a feeling that this is going to be a big hit for the PS3. The story is interesting and the various Good/Evil options during the missions open up a lot of options power-wise. I'd put this above Crackdown for sure.

How are you playing it?  Infamous is the game that pushed me over the edge into buying a PS3, so I've been watching closely for a demo, but haven't seen one.  Am I missing something stupid, or do you get the demo by doing something?

What kind of armor are you using, Tooker?  Unless you're taking rockets to the face, they shouldn't be doing that much damage to you at level 14.

Hmm.  Let's see - armor I took off of those Talon jerks, and the hockey mask that gives you extra AP.  I think the problem was in part that there were too many guys around, and the rockets just keep distracting me and stuff.  Next time I go there, I'll focus on picking the others off from where the rocket launcher guy can't get to me.  I went out to do some other junk like let the ghouls into Tenpenny Tower. :D

Been playing Fallout 3.  I've been at it for 40 hours or so(?) and am level 14, and I still haven't done the second thing you're supposed to do after leaving the Vault (that is, the main quest after getting to Megaton).  I've tried a few times now and gotten destroyed by the Super Mutants (stupid rocket launchers).  Got tired of it, decided to do other stuff around the wastes... but I'm getting a little tired of it.

I feel like I did with Animal Crossing.  Sure, I can do most anything I want, but I keep doing the same thing over and over, and it's getting old.  I don't know - maybe it's time to have another go at the main quest.

Saw it last night, thought it was OK.  I did have some of the same gripes that Hathen did, but still thought it was OK.

One thing you didn't mention that kind of bothered me, though, was the fact that Spock gives Scotty the trans-warp whatever-the-heck formula.  Sure, Scotty can take credit for it, and Spock won't give him any crap about it, but now he won't get/have to go through whatever creative process led him to the formula in the original universe, which will probably screw up his development into creating whatever other genius things he originally came up with.

From what I've read, you could still have done that quest if you nuked the town - you just would have gotten it from her in another city.
