Brain tumors, stroke, and surgery after surgery? Damn, she's got a healing factor that puts Wolverine to shame. Thank god she doesn't have claws protruding from her knuckles.

Indeed - can you imagine toddler Wolverine?  I think anyone who's ever seen a toddler knows that's a recipe for a bad time.

Guess it depends on what you loved about Fallout.  The combat wasn't my favorite part, so Fallout Tactics isn't that fun to me.

Here's the really important question: 16 is "legal"?  Not here in the US.

Seriously, though - that is insane.  A 16-year-old baby.  Poor parents.

i know someone who lives in utah and and often says that the salt lake reeks.

Depending on where you live, that's totally true.  It's a "dead lake," which means that water flows in, but it doesn't flow out, and it's salt water (hence the name).  Back in the late 1800s, if not later, it was so salty that you couldn't sink in it!  That's not true now, but it's still salty enough that they farm brine shrimp there.

So... if you live in some places, the wind blows in off the lake, especially in the evenings, and you get icky salt water brine shrimp farm smell.  It's icky.  I had some friends in Syracuse, and it smells like that there.

And since with all of these posts, I haven't actually posted any pics, here's one of my cat in a tree.  She's as close as I have to a kid:

And I know some frown on this kind of thing, but I thought this was a very nice pic of the Empire State Building at night:

I've gone in once or maybe twice, and never really intend to see Home again.  Should just uninstall the freaking thing.

Finally made it to the last book in the Ramayana (well, the version I have, anyway).  About 700 pages to go, but there's already been a "holy crap" moment or two.  Good stuff.  Fantasy readers might want to check it out - look for the books by Ashok Banker, because there have probably been hundreds of versions written over the years.

Lake Erie is green too. i haven't gone in it since i was like 15 and i'm 29 now. someone would have to like pay me to go in. but sometimes when i'm jet ski'ing i wipe and fall in >_<

EEEEWWWWWW - there's a place like that in Utah.  (Willard Bay?)  Can't figure out why people still go there all the time anyway.

And nice glasses, Tomara - my last pair were almost exactly like them. :)

In case anyone out there hasn't played the original Fallout games, I thought I'd pass on the word that I saw a bundle at Target yesterday for $20 that contained Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics.  Great deal on some awesome games, and I think any PC in the country could run them these days.  I bet my phone could even run them... if the games were compatible with windows mobile.

Sweeeeet.  There's been lots of good news on this front lately.

This thread is too sexy and pretty for its own good (I mostly blame Deggy weggy poo's trim new physique).

Come on, we all know who's really making the thread too pretty.  It's just that us married guys can't compliment her. ;)

Watching Idiocracy on DVD for like the 800th time.  Awesome as ever.

Awesome - hockey team bikini.  You have to be truly hardcore to wear that. :)

Saw the Beast with a Billion Backs.  Meh.

But I still love the series.  I just think they're better off sticking with the half-hour format.
1979  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: PSP FAIL on: June 18, 2009, 09:12:29 AM
There are also the outstanding Syphon Filter games.  (Not RPGs, but PSP exclusives.)  I loved the Pursuit Force games too, although I know not everyone did.  There's also Patapon, and the new Rock Band Unplugged.  Let's see... Loco Roco, Daxter, a Ratchet & Clank game...  I could go on, but I think it's clear.  There's a lot of good, exclusive stuff out there for the PSP, and I think people have never really realized it.

C'est la vie.

Voulez vous pomme de terre avec fromage.

If I remember my French, I think you just offered me Cheese Fries and Chicken?

Actually, french fries are pomme frite (sp?).  I believe that "pomme de terre" is better translated as "road apples."  (You know... horse poop.)  But I don't actually speak french, so... yeah.

I think he's goofing on a line from the song Lady Marmalade: "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?"
