I thought the whole thing about Robert DeNiro's character was pretty silly too, but overall a movie worth watching.

Unless I've missed out on a change, it's when you click a link that's supposed to be something (usually a video)... but instead takes you to a video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." (aka in my mind the "I'm a skinny white guy, but I sound like a big black guy" song.)

I always end up with about 50 extra save files in games like Oblivion, KOTOR, and Jade Empire. I love games that let me save whenever I want. It means I can stop playing and come back to it any time later. I don't have to tell people "wait - I've gotta get to a save point!" As to having a ton of saves, I've never had that problem. I keep a maximum of three saves and just cycle through them. Last saved on 1? Save next on 2.

Music game fans! Sweet. Always a big favorite of mine as well. Someday I will purchase that elusive second set of Sega brand maracas for Samba de Amigo...
Love 'em or hate 'em, I've got to say Pokémon. Every entry in the main series is among the biggest selling games ever, even though they release two (or even three) games at a time, it popularized the "gotta catch 'em all" genre like nothing before or since... Like GTA, there have been many imitators since then, but arguably no one has yet done it as well. Heck, even Pokémon hasn't done it as well - how much innovation is there in each new game? Not that much, in my mind (and I've played every generation - maxed out the clock in Red at 256 hours of playtime).
And yet, your little monsters STILL can't manage to actually interact with each other in battles!

"In POSTAL: Living on Social Security and unemployed, DUDE desperately seeks employment, but instead finds a life of violent action and adventure when he teams up with his UNCLE DAVE, a financially strapped cult leader, in an effort to rip off an amusement park, only to find that the Taliban are trying the same heist simultaneously."
What a tweest!

Doesn't matter whether you played the pencil and paper version or not, everyone here has been affected by his work. It's a sad day for RPG players everywhere. Wish I could have had the chance to meet him.
I have to watch that episode of Futurama he was in again...

A Descriptive Analysis of Gerald Ford's Remarks on Signing a Proclamation Granting Pardon to Richard Nixon Send me a copy, will you? My sleeping medicine prescription is running out. ;-) Actually, that's probably at least mildly interesting. A lot of people were pretty freaking ticked when that happened.

Rented Killzone for PSP last week and had a bunch of fun with it, but eventually got tired of the number of missions where the method for success was "die until you get everything exactly right."
Started playing Patapon. Talk about a unique game... It's good stuff but definitely a niche game.

I missed the second of those too, Sand. Screwed up and dismissed someone I was supposed to hang onto. Oh, well. I felt the same way when I got to the end. Great game, but there are so many great ones that it's tough to spend the time playing through more than once.
I rented Metal Gear Acid and Killzone Liberation this week. Didn't finish Syphon Filter yet, but was in a bad mood and wanted to try something new. I tried to like Metal Gear Acid, but couldn't, so I dropped it. I'm liking Killzone quite a bit so far, but I'm only a few missions in.
And because I just can't stop the overload, I bought Patapon tonight. Haven't started it yet, but a rhythm action strategy rpg... it seems weirdly up my alley, and it was only $20 brand new.
Man. Where would I be without my PSP? (Probably playing Professor Layton on my DS.)
