Started Crisis Core on the PSP last night, and am playing Untold Legends on the PS3.  It's fun being the cleanup crew. :D

My wife bought me a PS3, which was cool, because we planned to use any money we got as presents to buy one... so now I have Christmas money to spend on a game and such.

My in-laws (who I like) come over to our house every year, and most of the Christmas present action goes to my nephew, who's 5.  It's more fun to watch him open and play with stuff anyway. :D

Saw part of It's a Wonderful Life on TV and part of National Treasure 2 on Blu-Ray.  Otherwise, been watching TV shows on DVD: Simpsons, Fraggle Rock, and Dead Like Me.

This is weak.  Releasing old games with updated graphics is OK when it's been a few generations of consoles, like in the re-releases of old FF stuff.  The new FFT on PSP was outstanding, for example.  Stuff from that recent, though... it says "we don't have any ideas!"

You know, I've heard a lot of people say that about Hancock.  I totally didn't feel that way.  I understand why other people did, but I felt like the "twist" wasn't any crazier than having Jason Bateman's character being a totally forthright, honest, and nice PR guy.  No offense to anyone who is in PR (and I know there's at least one person here who is), but in my experience, that is not a job for nice, honest guys.

Then again, I have admittedly crappy taste in movies. :D

And they like to see how messed up they can make the swaps, like sending an atheist mom to a super-christian family and vice-versa.  It's always seemed like a horrible, horrible show to me.

Truly - I would recommend his books to anyone who likes sci-fi.  Most folks probably have no idea how many movies have been made from his writings.

Indeed it will, and it won't be pretty when it does.

Finally started up Last Remnant, and also Ratchet & Clank on the PSP.  Was an idiot and didn't save before the first real fight in Last Remnant like the game warned me to do, so I died from terminal screwing around.  Hooray for skippable cut-scenes!

Ratchet & Clank is fun.  I don't care when I die... it's just a fun diversion.  Nice change.

What the... in their bit about Fieldrunners, the iPhone "will soon be serious competition for the Nintendo DS and Sony's PSP."  Yeah, I don't think so.  It's going to sell games, but serious competition?  It's not the same kind of thing at all.  It's better than an N-Gage, but that's not really too much of a stretch.

Of course, I will say that I love Desktop Tower Defense (which I believe is the original version), which Fieldrunners appears to be a blatant copy of.

My problem with it was the crazy editing any time things got a little tense.  The fight in the hotel room was two very similar-looking white blond guys in black clothes with pointy things.  "Who just got cut?"  "I have no freaking clue.  They keep cutting to a different shot every 1/4 of a second."

There was only one FFTA before FFTA2...

(But nah - their stories aren't related.)
