My problem with it was the crazy editing any time things got a little tense.  The fight in the hotel room was two very similar-looking white blond guys in black clothes with pointy things.  "Who just got cut?"  "I have no freaking clue.  They keep cutting to a different shot every 1/4 of a second."

There was only one FFTA before FFTA2...

(But nah - their stories aren't related.)

Imagine Party Babyz.

You are a sick, sick puppy.

Read part of the article, and it does really seem like she is probably pretty fit.  I agree, though, that her face does not look like that of a 14-year-old.

Snagged a copy of Fashion Nugget by Cake at a thrift store this week.  Great stuff.

Saw Bolt in 2D with my friend who was in it today.  I had already seen it in 3D, and I really liked the 3D, but after seeing it both ways, I'd say that it didn't make a huge difference in my enjoyment of the movie.  Loved it both times.

Also saw Dark City tonight for the first time - bought the Director's Cut cheap yesterday, and after seeing online what ws different between the two versions, I'm glad that I saw this version.

Watched Kung Fu Panda yesterday - not the first time I'd seen it, but it was the first time for me on DVD.

And a couple of days ago, I watched Fire Down Below (a Seagal flick).  Wasn't amazing, wasn't the worst thing I've ever watched.

Wow - I don't know the last time I saw this many movies in one week...

Bought me some Rock Band 2 drums and cymbals and am learning to work with them.  They're fun, but feel a little useless at the moment - I could just hit whichever I want - drum or cymbal - so I wonder why I shelled out the extra dough... except that they look cool. :D

...you can't beat a dragon that encircles the world with a piece of toast!

Awesome - that's my favorite quote of the month.

:( Both the EB Games and the Gamestop near me had no movies at all, blu-ray or otherwise.  So instead I bought a set of Rock Band 2 drums.  That'll show 'em...

Finished Fable 2 last night and got very bummed out because
Code:
I picked the "needs of the many" ending where everyone but my family and dog comes back to life.  I knew it was the "right" choice to make - my character was the nicest person ever - but having the dog stay dead was actually depressing.  Of course, I have a pet in real life who's not doing so well at the moment, and that probably factored into it, but still...

Went and saw it today in 3D, and thought it was really good.  It was tough to not see my friend every time Rhino opened his mouth, but I'm really not saying it was good just because he was in it.  The current average on rottentomatoes is still up at 84%, which is pretty respectable, and FlixPulse (where regular people write one-sentence reviews) has 95% good reviews for it.

I am happy to say that they didn't put the best bits into the trailer, or at least not all of them.  The 3D stuff was cool, not over the top, and it added to the movie in a lot of little ways.  I'll be going to see it next week with my friend and his family, but we're going to the 2D version.  I'm interested to see what kind of difference it makes.

I'm still reading Inkspell.

I have Inkheart (and I think I also have Inkspell), but haven't even picked it up off the stack.  I saw a trailer today for the movie and thought "I bet that's a good book."  I'm going to have to move it up to the top of the stack. :)

It looks like it's just another movie to please the fans with canon nonsense instead of just being a good movie, which is what was annoying to me about the TNG movies.

I understood this new movie to be a near-complete break with established canon, with
Code:
evil time-travelling Romulans and good time-travelling Spock.

HAHAHA! :)

Yeah, his voice is worse than Batman's. He has no reason to disguise it...

Hmm.  That's a tough call for me.  The chain-smoker thing can be annoying, but it is supposed to be a mystery who Rorschach is.  In the comic, he can talk all he wants and no one will ever recognize him.  In the movie, though...
