I'm watching BBC America, and I have Fox News, ABC News, and CNN all up on my laptop.  It's interesting to see how different the numbers are between them.  Right now:

BBC says 49 McCain, 103 Obama
ABC says 49 McCain, 102 Obama
CNN says 34 McCain, 81 Obama
Fox says 54 McCain, 103 Obama

Until just now, Fox was way off from everyone else.  Now they're a lot closer.  CNN seems to be staying very cautious.

They are both great systems, you really can't go wrong. Just get both eventually :)

Just what I always end up saying.  Can't go wrong either way.  Try to get both if that is an option.

Gotta ask the question... so what do you feel IS the basis for an RPG?

Played WAY too much Fable 2 this weekend.  Extremely addictive game.  My wife talked me into buying lots of cheaper stalls and houses rather than just saving up for the big things, and I think it's paying off big time.  With the profits, I was able to buy some bigger things pretty quickly.  Also, since I can only play on the weekends, any money I don't invest into a business before I quit on Sunday essentially goes to waste until the next week.

My wife's also concerned about my hero getting too chunky, so the poor girl's on an all celery and tofu diet now.  Glad I bought those veggie stands now so I can save on fancy stuff.

And even though I married my in-game spouse just to get a demon door to open, I couldn't sacrifice him, either.  No kids yet.

Tooks, you're probably aware of this website, but it's an excellent comprehensive site for gamebook series like CYOA, Time Machine, Fighting Fantasy, and more.  http://gamebooks.org/

CYOA's I felt were dependent upon the author.  Some authors wrote amazing stuff and others not so well.

Cool - didn't know about that site.  Definitely would agree about the author by author thing, too.  Some are better... some are worse.

The arcade at my school (yes, my college has an arcade!) has both of these games. Nobody really plays them, since everyone usually crowds around the Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 3rd Strike machines, but it's still fantastic to see co-op gems like X-men and The Simpsons occupying the space. I can't wait to see a few people playing them so I can hop in for a bit in-between classes.

You lucky, lucky something-or-other.  I love that X-Men game too.  And the six-player version is the only real one.  The four-player always made me feel disappointed, knowing what I was missing.

I'd say my all time favorite book series is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...

I was also a massive Choose Your Own Adventure fan growing up...

I'm sure I'll think of more, but these are definitely two series I love a ton.  I believe I have mp3s of every episode of the radio show of HHGTG, so...

I have over 3,000 books now (thanks in big part to my wife), and since both my wife and I loved the CYOA books, we're really making an effort to get a complete collection.  My three favorites were definitely The Cave of Time (book 1), Deadwood, and... one where there were aliens and you were trying to get to an ending where you were in a utopian society, except that there was no path that lead to that ending.  I thought that was brilliant!

That shirt is a giant bag full of awesomeness.

Helping Hand here.  Just what I would have expected if I'd known the possibilities ahead of time.  I don't play online much, but that's definitely how I like to play when I do.

Yeah, he does.  He writes two over the course of the book that he didn't write in real life, and he makes a promise to another character to write one of the Henry plays.

I'm reading a fictional book about Shakespeare right now - Ruled Britannia, another alternate history book by Harry Turtledove.  In this one, England is under Spanish control during Shakespeare's time.  He's the main character.  Wish I knew enough about their real history to know what really happened, so I would know the "trigger" for the differences in this history.

Thanks for the info.  Paint job's not that important to me, and since I have the game, the hardware's all I want.  My band is called The Humane Society (sort of a play on The Human League).  Our logo is an eye with a rabbit in the pupil - you get an achievement for making a logo, and it works with the more obvious meaning of the name.

I picked up Rock Band 2 on Sunday with the new instruments...

How are the new drums?  The guitar's the same as before, right?  I'm considering picking up new drums if they seem worth it. Mine are in pretty good shape, so I figure I'll sell them to a friend.

I am pretty pleased with my neighborhood as well.  Nobody very close, and I live right near a few different condo/apartment complexes.

I tried the demo, but couldn't figure out what to do without being able to read.  Hopefully there'll be a US demo later.

Wha? I just button mashed through all the text then hacked things up, this was probably one of the only RPGs you could seriously play without Japanese knowledge.

My problem was that I couldn't figure out where to go.  I got to a mappy screen with a few dots on it, but when I tried the different dots, they were all just text.
