I picked up Rock Band 2 on Sunday with the new instruments...

How are the new drums?  The guitar's the same as before, right?  I'm considering picking up new drums if they seem worth it. Mine are in pretty good shape, so I figure I'll sell them to a friend.

I am pretty pleased with my neighborhood as well.  Nobody very close, and I live right near a few different condo/apartment complexes.

I tried the demo, but couldn't figure out what to do without being able to read.  Hopefully there'll be a US demo later.

Wha? I just button mashed through all the text then hacked things up, this was probably one of the only RPGs you could seriously play without Japanese knowledge.

My problem was that I couldn't figure out where to go.  I got to a mappy screen with a few dots on it, but when I tried the different dots, they were all just text.

I only wish I was creative enough to come up with something AND artistic enough to draw whatever it was. :)

Hope I didn't already say this here, but I found out how you know when you've played too much DS.  My right trigger doesn't work any more.  *sigh*

Well, Christmas is just a few months away... :)

Sadly, although I can confirm that such a thing is possible, I'm not sure exactly what you need to make it happen.  A while back, I bought a PCMCIA sound card for my laptop (which was totally worth it), and the software that came with it added the computer sound as an input for recording.  So... I hope knowing it can be done is at least kinda helpful.

I'm reading Lord Valentine's Castle.  It's pretty good stuff.  I tried to read Imajica by Clive Barker a while back and had to give up probably 25% of the way through because I just hated it so much.  Now, I'm reading Lord Valentine's Castle, and it makes me feel like Imajica was just a really twisted knockoff of it.

Been playing Force Unleashed on the PSP back and forth from school. It's fun overall, but has the *most* atrocious camera I think I've ever seen in a game.

I've been playing that, too.  The camera's not great, but I think I've seen worse.  Still, fun game.  I beat story mode last night, and want to try something to see if there's a second ending.  The exclusive stuff's pretty cool.

Still playing FFTA2, also.

Switching off between FFTA and Force Unleashed.  I got TFU on PSP, and am really enjoying it in a God of War kind of way.

Yeah - I was actually pretty OK with Roland's ending situation, but everyone else...

Reading Guns of the South and am liking it quite a bit, despite not being into Civil War stuff at all.  It's an "alternate history" book where some guys come back and give the South AK47s, allowing them to win the Civil War.  It's not a total slam dunk, and the war's over well before halfway into the book, which I like.  Seems well-written and well-researched.

Playing me some Force Unleashed on the PSP.  Fun stuff!

Far from alone - I was in Jr high when The Simpsons started.  Still remember my parents saying no one would watch it in their house.  I watched some old episodes this weekend and I still feel like that ban was silly.

Probably part of the lawsuit to have him disbarred - that he has to compensate them for putting them to the trouble of doing so.

How was it? I have it, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Lisey's Story?  It was pretty decent, but I felt like it went on too long.  There was too much time and build up before she finally figured out the big mystery thing, and too much wind down after the big climax.
