Finally caught up with this myself... I think it's kind of similar to IDW, in that they're keeping things mysterious as far as escalation goes... I like Megatron manipulating events behind the scenes and that so far every 'con we've met has the power to take on the whole team single handedly.
And yes all the old references are easy... my main beef with the show is not that Ratchet has a Kup personality... and I think a bit of huffer thrown in there...
It's that you can't name a no-body Optimus "Prime"... "Prime" has to be the supreme leader of the autobots and wielder of the matrix. I would have liked it better if he was Orion Pax, or something similar then merged with the all-spark/matrix at the end of the pilot and became Prime... that would have been more acceptable to me.
But fairly good so far, all around.

Worst Villian... I have to say the Oldman from Timestalkers, I can't remember his name. Because he like the rest of the game is just totally pointless.
He draws all these different times and places together cause he's bored, I guess it could have been an interesting concept if there was any depth at all to him (or any other character in that game).
I won't nominate Sword from that game as worst Hero though...
I can't think of one right now, ah well.

I think all those who says "mobile phones and rpgs don't mix" should realize that Japanese mobile phones have better graphics, more storage space and have games with FMVs sometimes.
And even the Doom RPG over here (already mentioned) was a pretty sweet game.
But a FFIV sequal does nothing for me, bring on a FFVI sequal!

Very nice, I wonder how long it will take YTV or Teletoon to pick up the new series so we can see it here in Canada. I'd more compare it to Teen Titans then Avatar, having the same character designer and all... and yeah it'll be a nice change from the Japanese/American Co-op efforts, there was just too many differences between the two visions and it ended up coming out weird.

Media / Multiplayer RPGs / City of Heroes Issue 11

Hey, with Christmas and my tuition due in January I haven't been able to renew my City of Heroes account for a while. I was just wondering if there are any players who could share their opinions of issue 11?
I'm wondering if the new time travel and weapon customization abilities really change the feel of the game was much as PlayNC has been hyping.
I kinda miss playing it, and just want to hear what everyone thinks of the latest additions, also is it something that would be worth investing what little spare cash I have right now to come back for? Or is it really nothing that special and I should just wait a few months for when I've got more money to come back.
Thanks guys.

This game does look really sweet, infact it almost makes we want to buy a 360, but I can't see myself picking up enough titles for it. I just hope like any other Bioware game it eventually gets a PC port.
I'm surprised to hear from V-Dawg that it's so short, I thought it was supposed to have a lot more divergent story paths then Kotor, and give you a ton more freedom, and that's what the commercials implied.
Ah well, I'll eventually play it... I think as an Edmontionian and RPG fan, I have to at least try every Bioware game... even If I haven't actually finished that many of them.

You will have some series fans, including some very vocal ones on these boards, who would bemoan the English "tarnishing" of their beloved series but it is what it is.
Well you think owning that website I linked... www.taishou-legend.com I would fall into the vocal ST fan category, but I wouldn't mind an english localization that changed a few things as long as it kept to explaining the more important terms like Kagekidan. I heard working designs tried to get the rights to release the series here back in the Saturn days... that would have been interesting.
