8  The Rest / General Discussions / Praise Hail Vagrant! on: April 01, 2006, 07:16:56 AM
This is my last official post...

I am truly beneath you all...

My Sony fanboy ranting refuses to bow before common fucking sense...

I have lost again, as I always seem to do...

I cannot take your laughter anymore...

I hope you won't have forgotten about me in a month, like you do everyone else who leaves...

The only thing more emo than these words is when I'll cut my wrists in depsair after I finish this...

I'm just GLAD the admin staff loves idiots, because the door will always be open for me to make an ASS of myself.

Vagrant is dead...but I know exactly how long he was here!
How fucking sad is that! (24 may '04 - 1 april '06)

(and for all the subhumans who think this is an april fool's joke...burn in hell and inhale the sulfur! God is dead and won't be there to save you fucking sheeps! Death to Christ! Death to Allah! Death to God! Death to you!)
9  The Rest / General Discussions / Great Revolution Article on Gamespot on: March 31, 2006, 07:09:57 PM
The only Revolutionary thing about the Rev is the controller.
And we haven't even seen a single screenshot or read any real hands-on impressions with the hardware. Because, well...nobody has final devkits yet. Which is alarming, because the launch will probably only see 1 or 2 titles which will make very good use of the new controls (both made by Nintendo themselves ofcourse) and the 3rd party stuff will be gimmicky and useless like most first gen DS software. Not to mention many games looking like games from this generation, because of the Rev's low power compared to the other systems. I've read that Xbox's graphics would be a good target for how Rev games will look....Xbox 1 that is...

I'll buy a Rev when it comes out, but only as a second system next to the PS3. Because even though the controls will be revolutionary, in terms of hardware, it's not much better than this generation.

The PS3 with all it's new technology will be the only new system that will feel truly next-gen. The Cell processor and blue-ray will make all the difference.
10  The Rest / General Discussions / Revolution.....Renamed?! on: March 23, 2006, 03:07:05 PM
Nintendo would be crazy to change the name, Revolution sounds perfect and the logo looks great on the machine intself.

Just read that Genesis and Turbo-Grafx 16 games wil be downloadable on the virtual console! Very vool.
11  The Rest / General Discussions / Xbox handheld still coming...? on: March 20, 2006, 12:54:05 PM

Who's looking forward to yet another portable multimedia machine...?

I hope Warhawk, Lair, Call of Duty 2, UT 2K7, Fight Night Round 3, I-8 and Killzone will be launch titles. Lot of FPS, but it would probably make for a pretty good, if not stellar line-up. Maybe even Vision GT, but I doubt that will be ready...although since nobody knows anything about the current status of all those games, they could be further in development than anyone might expect at this point in time.

I also saw screenshoots in IGN of Untold Legends for PS3 and i was completely unimpressed by the graphics. Xbox 1 could do that.  Nothing even remotely close to the Killzone trailer.  For Sony's sake I hope its that developers are still learning to use the dev kits.
If the system is lauched at $450 or less I'll be lining up to get one at lauch.

Also there's been rumors of being able to download PS2 and PS1 games to your harddrive, Nintendo copy cat anyone :P

First of all, just take a good look at Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Vision Gran Turismo and Unreal Tournament 2K7, and than tell me you are still concerned about PS3's graphics capabilities...And keep in mind these are 1st (2nd at the most) gen PS3 games!

Secondly, copying is just part of the game in this industry. Sony had backward compatibility on PS2, and now everyone has it. Nintendo had a 3d-stick on N64, and now everyone has it. Etc.etc. And who honestly gives a shit?

This news (especially the launch-delay) was expected and I think it will only benefit the PS3. Sony can concentrate on getting as many units ready for launch as possible, and developers have another 8 months to work on their launch games. It also looks like Sony realy has their act together with regards to a online service, which will probably be just as good or even better than XBoxLive. Couple that with their dedication to help developers to work with the hardware (which when devs get the hang of it, will blow the competition out of the water), the continuing great 3rd and 1st party support, blu-ray, AND FULL backwards compatibility...and there isn't much that can go wrong for the PS3. I think E3 2006 will be pwned by Sony, and that the PS3 launch will be fantastically organized and complete with great and polished games, and not like the super rushed feeling that Microsoft gave us with the 360.

I can't wait for further news about everything PS3.
Next week's GDC is next and after that...E3!

Let the pwnage begin...

It's almost a given I will be buying this when it comes out, but I'm not anticipating it that much, especially after having played that crap demo.

I remember reading Famitsu's scores for Skies of Arcadia and not agreeing with them at all, and there are more instances like that where I thought 'fuck them'. It's not like they are gods or something. The 'perfect score' games on the other hand, deserved to get them, although like Eusis I doubt Nintendogs is worthy of it.
