Apparently someone put in a resume at work and in the header the email address she listed was something like cockmuncher319@something.com.  They thought it was a joke, but after looking at her facebook page, it appears to be very real.  I can't believe someone could be that stupid.

Also fuck wisdom teeth.

Also grats on finding someone special Alisha.  I hope it works out for you.

That reminds me that my personal e-mail reads "[myname]i'm so cool"". I haven't been bothered to change it, and fortunately it's in a relatively obscure language, so I'm good so far, at least in US. :P

Doesn't stop my friends from laughing at me whenever they see the mail though.

I'm contemplating a back tattoo, actually. I haven't pinned down a design yet and probably will leave it to ruminate for a year or two. Not to mention seeking out a top of the line artist and having money for it.

I want my SMT Warriors game!

Seriously.

Wow. I'm not too worried that it will be picked up by somebody. Hell, it might even be better in the long run, though there's something to be said about Index' efforts to franchise the bejesus out of a select Atlus IPs.

If not, then I'll quit gaming.

I actually have no problem with the voices, but you'd think something so important would be pronounced properly.

It's like the ORIGAHMI KILLAH all over again.
Then again, I don't think the mainline SMT games have really good dialogue anyway.

How so?

You mean the Vita title?

The entire series more or less.

After SH3 much of the original team wasn't involved in any future projects and because of that Konami took charge of the franchise, which end up in them giving the IP to less than stellar studios and publishing a bunch of random horror games that didn't had anything to do with Silent Hill.

The case of Suikoden is a bit different since Konami has always been in charge of the series but I think that the problem is that they don't have a team of people that can go make a good RPG and I don't think Konami sees Suikoden like a profitable series anymore... even though they know there's still fans waiting for something. Anything.

There was never a consistent creative team behind Silent Hill. The mastermind behind Silent Hill left after the first game. Takayoshi Sato, who had actually a larger role in the second game than just designing CG, left after the second and so on. Silent Hill 4 wasn't exactly shoehorned from some original concept into a Silent Hill title. It was intended to always be part of Silent Hill.

I can sort of see why people would agree after the game was handed down to Western developers, but it's ridiculous to say that they are Silent Hill entries only in their name. If anything, they clinged too hard to please the fans and rerolled SH2 over and over. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they're not proper Silent Hill games. Proper was already thrown out of the room when SH4 came out, because it didn't directly take place in Silent Hill, although its mythos is tied to it.

Hideo Kojima impressed with Grand Theft Auto V -- Source: All Games Beta (via: Twitter)

I like how Hideo Kojima is the authority on everything video games. lol.

But yeah, looks like one of the most amazing games ever.

I finished the game with a translation patch a while ago. I loved it.

I think it treads a fine line between realism and fantasy. There's quite a few things that are obviously more than absurd in a real life setting, but it's absurdities are consistent with the overall style and mood of the game. It's over the top, but it never becomes overBEARing with its ridiculous moments.

I do think that the characters aren't overly interesting. There's a sense of character development to each of them, but they seem to fulfill a very specific role throughout the whole game, depending on what they are branded as. I personally didn't relate nor empathize with any of them, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the interactions between the characters.

To me, the main points of interest was the premise (people having to kill each other in a Battle Royale like setting), the zany presentation and the mystery of it on both micro and macro level. The main theme wasn't anything special, but I commend the developers' concluding the game in such a tactful way. If you're into any of those things I mentioned, this is the game for you.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable ride, but I can see why it might turn off some people. The only gripe I had about the game was the typical illusion of choice, albeit in this particular case it was downright insulting.

I'll probably expand on my thoughts later, it's just that my head's going nuts after being in the sun all day long.

Kudos to Project Zetsubou for translating it. They took some liberties, but it was worth it. The translation screams quality.
Also, from what I saw, anime sucks.

Possibly noteworthy: There's a "Persona Music Fes" event happening on August 13th.  Maaaybe they could have some kind of Persona 5 reveal then?  It'll definitely be on people's minds.

Don't they have Persona concerts every year anyway? :P
