1  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, The Last 13 Days on: February 05, 2014, 04:51:15 PM
Just received a shipping confirmation for my order from the Square Enix store. :D

Hah, I've been kind of playing it nonstop since I know when FFXIV comes out I won't be playing anything else! Working on some more titles before I start my NG+ play through, though.

I think the game offsets the low amount of outfits with a ton of attachment. I'm kind of OK with that I guess.
(sunglasses + bed hair on the butler ftw)

It's kind of annoying since they finally separate everything to customize with and then only have 4 costumes that can be attained in game. :/

I made Jude wear glasses because I thought his face needed it. He's had them for over 30 hours and now he looks weird when I see him in the anime bits and skits.

Same, I've got him in the red outfit, Cress hair, earrings, and the half-frame glasses. Not too shabby!

Just beat the game and finished the bonus dungeon at about 57 hours....I guess it's time for a new game plus with Jude!

I just put in a request for the Solaris Facebook group. I plan on sticking with it this time and not bailing at like level 20... hah. I've got a couple friends that are going to be rolling with my on Hyperion, too. :)

Someone over on the beta forums posted a screenshot of his order cancellation over the announcement of the Lightning Returns and FFXIV crossover.... lol.

The Bravely Default concert was so amazing!
Motoi Sakuraba & Marty Friedman performed together on the same stage!

Battle Music Medley

Field Music Medley

This is awesome! Jun-ji and Yuki on drums and guitar from Acid Black Cherry, too!

Edit: oh, nice. I didn't know they all played on the album, too. I thought I heard Marty Friedman on there!

If this solves the abysmal framerate drops, then I'm all for it.

Yeah, don't bother if you're looking to play PSO2 "on the go".  This game is fun, but being completely honest, it's the worst game ever for a handheld.  I have no problem with always-online for PC games, but the fact of the matter is, the Vita version 1) requires you to be connected to WiFi. Always.  2) will boot you from the server if your vita goes to sleep, so don't leave it idle or turn off your vita idle timer and 3) is better on PC anyway so why would you play it on the Vita if you have to pretty much be at home to play?

I dig the game a lot, but the Vita version is frustrating.

WiFi isn't too much of an issue for me, really. If I did have the urge to play and didn't have it available I could just play over 4G using my phone, hah.

I'll probably just wait for the US release of the game to start playing it on PC again anyway....hopefully the Vita version makes it over here, too.

So, I saw that this game was under 4GBs on the PS Store and decided to set up my second Vita card with my JPN PSN account. I get it installed, try to log in with my Sega ID, BAM, 1.5GB update..... Fuuuuuuuuuuu-

I guess I'll have to wait until I get a new memory card to play this game on the go. :(

Well, that's nifty. I signed up for the the PS3 beta this time, but I got an invite for the PC beta anyway since I was a tester for the alpha. :)

My average FPS was 38 on maximum and 49.616 on high.

Windows 8 Pro
Core i5-3570k @ 4.5GHz
16GBs of DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti

Edit: 1080p is the 3rd option down.

Edit 2: So I took it down from 1080p to the next 16:9 resolution, 1600x900. My score jumped to 6002 on maximum but it only gave me one extra FPS on average. High is another story though. My score went up to a 7846 and I had an average FPS of 64.828.

Man, it's probably been something like 8-9 years since I posted in one of these photo threads. Everyone looks so different!

Aaaand, that's pretty much the last thing I remember that night. hah

Would love to hear from Kenji Ito! He's always been one of my favorite composers. :D
