Finished Alan Wake yesterday. The story, atmosphere and gameplay are all great but I had a mixed response to the deliberately ambiguous ending. I suppose the planned DLC will elucidate the ending a bit, though I wish Remedy would have done that with the main game. Overall I had a great time with it. I'm also reading the book that came along with the limited edition, and it adds a good bit to the story. Interestingly the bonus disc comes with an install that adds an in-game commentary, so I may actually replay the game on Nightmare sooner than I thought to check out that addition. Other than that, I'm playing Metro 2033 and loving it. I also plan on picking up where I left off in Strange Journey, Nier and Parasite Eve sometime.
I liked the movie but all poignancy of the ending scene, or any scene for that matter, was ruined by a group of teenage girls up front. They just wouldn't shut the fuck up.
I've been playing Hexyz Force and replaying Skies of Arcadia. SoA is still a blast to play and Levant's side of the story in Hexyz Force has been really enjoyable so far. I'll probably continue on with Alan Wake and Nier after playing more of SoA and Hexyz Force.
