Saw Indy 4 today and I'm awestruck by how bad it is. At the end of the movie, I honestly
believe for a minute that a joke was being played on me. The action sequences were satisfying enough, but not for me to warrant the movie at least the title of semi-entertaining. There was no authentic sense of archaeological adventure. I wanted the movie to dazzle with action sequences then put wonder in the viewers with mystical sites and such. But when it got to those sites everything was slow, dull and dreary and things were too caught up in nostalgia and CGI, though the latter was fine with me, the former wore thin when they referenced to older movies for the n-th time. I can't even remember the older movies that well and I knew when they were referencing to some. It was that obvious, and it got tedious. Some of the ending shots
such as the temples before they were turned into a fuckin.... UFO spaceship
were nice to look at. Though, there was a plus: it gave me the urge to play Uncharted.
Immense disappointment overall.
