That's what is written in the latest famitsu. Due out in April, 100% complete, with some additional material. I'd post the images but since I don't know the exact policy on these forums I'm not doing that unless I'm authorized. The extra stuff includes animated opening, talk collection, tutorial missions.
3  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Hexyz Force announced for US (PSP - Dev. Sting/Localized by Atlus) on: January 08, 2010, 07:34:20 AM
I'm interested in this title, but again Sting likes very complex systems usually...Anyone that played the JP version can tell me more about difficulty/actual length/complexity?

I think it's a mistranslation, Kitase said they'd not get them in as the X360 doesn't have space for them, after asking if people "really wanted them"...
5  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Sakura Wars 5 to be released in the US by NISA on: May 13, 2009, 12:47:46 AM
Will I be able to follow Sakura Wars 5's story and not miss out on things if I havent played the other games?

Mostly so. It has a few minor references to other games and the animate movie (with one character of the movie put into the game), and that's all.

Further, the writing tends to be an overall strong point, especially where characterisation is concerned.

I wouldn't call the last part of the first game (or the whole fourth game) to be "strong" in the writing department. STV is decent IMO, despite some glaring inconsistencies with the crappy ST V Ep. 0.
I don't consider V the low point in the franchise, actually - that place is for STIV.

Didn't see it in the thread, but SE went into full damage control mode:

It's like this for two reasons IMO. given into account that the "360 delay" is probably a lie:

1) Be sure there's no reverse import all over again, despite what SE says, their "flagship" titles always have this kind of delay (see Dissidia), while "minor" don't (SO4, TLR);
2) To boost the following fiscal year with the US/EU PS3 and 360 versions.
9  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Do you like the Star Ocean-style RPG structure? on: January 11, 2009, 06:13:44 AM
private actions do have an impact during the game. if fayt has a high relationship value with nel and she dies in combat,i believe fayt will get pissed and start doing double or triple damage i dont recall wich. missable chars is great for me. great for a 2nd playthrough.

I could have specified better: I meant on the overall story, and not only the endings. AFAIK there's just one moment like this in SO2.
10  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Do you like the Star Ocean-style RPG structure? on: January 11, 2009, 03:45:56 AM
I'm actually torn on the issue. On one hand, the way the combat is structured is good for me. But the rest (till SO3 that is) still shows some serious issues. Private Actions, for example, would be good if they had actaully some impact during the game, but they don't: the biggest example would be the PA that shows what really happened with the baddies in SO2, but while it should be a twist in the game world, it has absolutely zero impact on the story. I'm not a fan of "missing" party members, since I usually don't have the time to replay the game .Item Creation is another thing that really put me off due to the very high failure rate, no matter the proficiency and the talents. Thrid, there's the stories themselves. SO1 is really, really an incoherent mess, and SO2 was terrible as well (some issues may have come from the poor translation, but still...). I admit I liked more SO3 story save for the twist, but mostly because the characters don't react to it in a believable manner.
I'm curious but wary at the same time about SO4.

I've  been disappointed in this. To be honest, I didn't like SO2 at all (terrible story, flawed item creation, horrible AI) and I mildly liked SO3 (the "revelation" wasn't treated the way it should have been but that's all). First of all the story is a incoherent mess, a lot of stuff is happening without a reason and seems that the characters forget their motivation for doing certain things. Then the AI is ever worse than SO2 (how is that possible I don't know), and the item creation is still too prone to failure (what's the point of maxing the skills and having all the talents if the 80% of the results are failure?). Technically is decent for PSP I'd say considering it's a total remake, but I wouldn't recommend it. Oh and the US VAs are atrocious, especially Ilia.
I had high expectations but I guess I was expecting too much, same for Second Evolution which I decided not to buy the moment I learnt the story wasn't going to be fixed in any way.

Bleh. I wish there weren't so many PR layers to pass through.

Any news on this?

Hello, I've been following this site for a few years and I always found it interesting. Recently I've been quite interested in the "2007 interviews" feature. I've been waiting for the last installment of it (probably the one I'm more interested in, the level 5 interview) for quite a bit. Since I haven't found anything on the site or on the forums regardins its status, I'd like to know if it has been delayed/scrapped/just late. I hope I've posted this on the right forum, I apologize if it's not the case.
