The games should translate well to the big screen in my opinion. Looking forward to it. I think it might be the first video game movie to do it right, but I don't want to jinx it.

Finally decided to play through Chrono Trigger DS after having it for 4 years lol. Started a new game. I had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off so I got a good chunk of gaming in. I'm at the very end. I could probably try my hand at Lavos, but I'm doing all the sidequests for the best equipment etc... played for 18 hours and my characters are between lvl 40-45. Love this game so much... I've actually never beat it either. I played it before about 8 years ago and got about 3/4 through the game and just gave up for some reason... don't remember why. My one complaint compared to the tons of positives is that the anime cutscenes taken from the PS1 version are kind of blurry and small... not the most attractive scenes in the world. They are just a bonus though so it doesn't bother me.

Nice to see Fire Emblem get the sales it deserves. Awakening has passed the lifetime sales of Shadow Dragon (210,000 was reported earlier this year) in just 2 months. Bravo Nintendo, especially considering there's far less 3DS's sold than there was DS's when Shadow Dragon came out.

DINNER DINNER DINNER (Infinite Undiscovery)
Funny you mention that, I'm right before that scene (playing it the other day). Not going to lie, Infinite Undiscovery is one of my favorite games. After two years of inactive playing, I picked it up last week and went through it...and for some reason doing a heck of a lot better now than I did back then. I nailed the dragon run when your carrying Aya to a village in one shot, which I used to have so much trouble with that before. Went through a bit more of Nier, and darn is this a beautiful game too look and listen to. I liked Infinite Undiscovery quite a bit too (and even reviewed it for the site), but I'm a pretty big fan of tri-Ace. SO4 was not the greatest, though. I liked IU alot more.

Just finished up FFXIII. Took me 50 hours. Might do some extra stuff now. I liked it. It's a good, but not great game. Probably my least favorite main installment outside of the first 3.

DOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOMDOOM.
Yeah I remember that. The last boss takes a while too, haha.
OMG there's two more battles after this?! Does this game ever end?! Good grief lol. Square Enix literally threw the kitchen sink into this final dungeon.

The whole thing, haha. It helps, but the fights still take a while O_o.
The final boss is so stupid. I literally had him down to less than 100,000 health and died because of doom.

The final dungeon in FFXIII is annoying the hell out of me. Regular enemies are taking upwards of 10 minutes a piece to kill and they throw so many of them at you that it is impossible to avoid them. I get so sick of fighting them that I let myself die and click retry to try and dodge them. I've liked the battle system up to this point, but it's starting to get on my nerves a little bit. Hopefully this dungeon ends soon.
The final dungeon in that game is a slooooooooog. I had maxed the Crystarium as far as I could by that point, and it still took forever. At least the music is cool :) The whole crystarium or just the primary class? I have their primary classes maxed and then some, but it still seems to not be enough.

Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Should I replay FFX or wait for the remake?

I'm not completely sold on this game. I really enjoyed FFX. But I don't believe it really needed to be re-done. I feel like this is time and energy that could be spent on much better things. Polishing up ALREADY 3D graphics is like tracing over a picture and everyone saying "ooooh, what a pretty picture!" I'm not trying to sound too negative, I'm just disappointed that they put so much money into remaking this when much better games like FF6 and FF7 are still yet to have a worth while remake.
The difference between this and a FFVII remake is like the difference between fixing up a car and building a whole new car from scratch from already existing heavily edited blueprints. Fixed. to see what they're going to screw up with that. Not everyone hated FFIVDS, if that's what you're implying. I thought it was the best version of the game yet. I'd actually welcome the FFV 3DS port, personally. I completely agree. I'd even be fine with the new FFV on the iPhone that just came out. It looks gorgeous.
