I didn't have a problem with the maps. Yes they were big, but they were full of quests and collectibles so I was always doing something and the exploration of them was fun to me.

Why do people keep calling the umbilical cord ending the true ending? It just an alternative secret ending and its not even a good one.

I guess that's just what I read. Which ending do you think is the true ending? I've got the other two, but not the umbilical cord one.

Super annoyed because I wanted to get the platinum in one playthrough, but I missed a quest to get one of the three umbilical cords for the true ending and apparently killed another person before I was supposed to and locked myself out of another umbilical cord. You have to have three and I have two, so I now have to play through the entire game in NG+ in order to get the "true" ending and the final trophy I'm going to need once I get done with the chalice dungeons. So infuriating.

If I didn't know better I would swear Zesty looks like a PS2 game in that picture. Like wtf lol.

I really liked Star Ocean 3 so for me that news is good news. Now the PS3/PS4 thing is probably because it's been 6 years since Star Ocean 4 and they more than likely have been working on this game for PS3 for years and then the PS4 came out and they decided to port it. Doesn't really bother me much. I'll play it knowing it was originally a PS3 game on my PS4 just because I would rather play it on my PS4.

I still need to pick up Graces, I'm getting behind in my Tales gaming.

I just picked it up over the weekend! Found a copy at Gamestop for $30 bucks that says it was used, but the case and disc feel brand new. Can't wait to try it after I finish Bloodborne.

Yeah... that's a good price for any good PS3 RPG I think. (:

Have you started it yet?

Not yet, still in the middle of playing Bloodborne.

Sorry, it's an elevator by the Cathedral Ward lamp.  The Tomb of Oedon lamp is where you fought Papa G.

Yeah, I was wondering why it would be so far back haha. I was like "why would I ever go back that far other than if someone told me to!!". Glad that wasn't the case.

Yup!  You can either buy the key or find a different route if you head over to the Upper Cathedral Ward.  There should be an elevator now open by the Oedon lamp.

Awesome! I'll probably go the different route for now.

I think we all asked for this.

Make sure to play the director's cut if you get the chance.  They included the DLC missions (which is kinda neat) and they made some slight UI changes and massively improved the boss fights (by basically letting you skip them using straight stealth).

Sweet! I planned on playing the director's cut, but it is nice to know the improvements.

Honestly, now that you know that there's no weapons and it's trial and error there will be less frustration. Part of my frustration was going in I didn't know there would be only stealth and I tried playing it differently. Once you know to stealth your way through it's not that bad.

I beat the Blood Starved Beast last night, but now I can't figure out where to go. Everything is either a dead-end or locked. I saw there was a Grand Cathedral Key on sale at the store in Hunter's Dream for 10,000 blood echoes. Is that something I should grab?

So I guess I should play the first one right? haha I never got around to it, but it's on my backlog. Looks awesome.

Just picked this up, and Father G can suck it.

Haha I lost to him a few times before getting sweet victory. He is certainly fast.

I beat the Assignment. It's quite different from the main game. No weapons are given to you throughout the entire thing, so it is all stealth and using environments to damage enemies. There were moments of extreme frustration for me because trial and error stealth is not fun to me, but on the whole I found it decent. The story is pretty interesting and fills in some gaps from the main game.
