finished the game. really disapointed with the amount of actual story content. also the final battle is a joke.

I'm curious, how long did you play for?

I'm debating turning my Chrono Cross postings into one of these play journal threadlogs.

why the fuck havent you, like 20 people have randomly responded here and technically to your sequel topic.  GET ON IT BOY.

Please do it! Your post made me want to listen to the soundtrack at work (which I did) and then that made me want to replay the game obviously because it is amazing. I don't have time for that, so I need to do it through you haha.

Haha I don't really like Dorian. Way too self-centered for me. I engaged in like an hour conversation about his past though and he certainly is an intriguing character and very insightful about the Tevinter Imperium.

I'm really loving this share ability on the PS4.

Me too! It's awesome. I've been able to connect with other people and look at their gear and such. I also let people connect to mine so they could look at my gear or look at my map to see if they are missing something. It's really neat.

Edit: Just realized you may be talking about share *play*, but regardless it is still cool! haha

Man I love this game. Skyhold is a great base to explore and chat with people.

I don't have a problem with the load times on PS4. The main bootup is about a minute and fast travel within zones is speedy.

I love Skyhold too, but it overwhelmed me at first. Could not figure out where everything was that I needed (like the creature research station for example). As for this not having relevant quests, I find that blasphemous. I've played for 65 hours and only got as far in the story as to
Code:
Meet Hawke and have him tell me we need to find the Grey Wardens.
and the quests that I have done outside the main story have all added significant lore or even interesting details to the main story. That's why I keep doing them. if it was just infinite fetch quests or kill this monster I would get bored and stop, but that is not the case.

For Your Eyes Only is by far the best Moore era Bond film.

I am getting seriously tired of the game crashing to desktop. I hope they patch it soon. It is frustrating and it is happening more and more. I am trying to enjoy the game but it is hard when it crashes so much. How many crashes do you guys have on PC? Mine are starting to come every half hour now.

I downloaded the update to visual studio that I read would help but it did not. It has crashed twice in a row now when I am exiting the equipment menu.

OH FFS now it crashes in less than a minute! This is officialy the worst Dragon Age game. Say what you want about DA2 but it was playable at least. I start the game run for 20 seconds meet some enemies attack them and boom crash to desktop.

My game hasn't crashed once on PS4 so I don't know how you can say this is the worst one when what you are experiencing seems to be in the minority. Also why I hate PC gaming, among other things. I personally think this is the best game in the series to date.

I prefer consoles as well. I played Origins and DA2 on 360 but my consoles are getting old and I don't have the new ones so I got it on PC. At least I got it working now with Mantle instead of DirectX 11. I've read that many have CTD problems on PC and it seems to be related to DirectX. Finally enjoying the game again. I still think Origins was the best but as long as it have stopped crashing I am happy for now =)

Well I'm glad you got it working again. I really liked Origins, but the exploration and scope of this one is unbelievable. That's the main reason it is my favorite.

What I meant was that the assessment regarding the Craig Bond films (one was excellent, one was garbage, one was great if overrated) is that you could say that about any section of the Bond catalog.  Connery Bond films ran the gamut from excellent to "I could do without it."  Moore Bond films ran the gamut from really fun to "oh you've got to be kidding."  I don't remember much about the Timothy Dalton Bond films, because his understated Bond wasn't as memorable as Connery or Moore, even though he's a lot more believable as an elite agent.  Brosnan's Bond films had their ups and downs.  And I see Daniel Craig's films as also following suit- some will be neo-classics (or at least pretty killer) and others may end up toothless.  I do like Craig as Bond, though.  I liked that in Casino Royale, he was fallible.  That he did make mistakes.  That he's growing into the Bond mantle.

Like I said before, every era of Bond hits every point of the bell curve and I foresee Daniel Craig's turn as Bond doing the same.  And given that we have 24 films so far, the franchise as a whole hits the highest point of the bell curve, the lowest point of the bell curve, and every point in between.

As for Octopussy, it's not a good film but it was madcap fun and a lot more memorable than a lot of other films.

Haha I really didn't like Octopussy. It's the second worst one in my opinion, but I'm glad someone liked it. Timothy Dalton only got two films so he really didn't get to grow into the character, but I liked his version. License to Kill is one of my favorite Bond films, but The Living Daylights was so bland that it really was a sour start to his tenure. I would have liked to see him get another film or two. Spectre will probably be more traditional Bond than the last three for Craig, so hitting that bell curve you are right about. They got over a billion dollars at the box office worldwide for Skyfall was which was higher than any other, so they have tons to live up to. I'm looking forward to it.

You could say that about the Bond franchise as a whole.  Some movies were excellent (e.g. From Russia With Love) others were cheesy as all get out but still fun (e.g. Octopussy), others were just plain bad (e.g. Moonraker), and several were quite forgettable (e.g. I dunno, so many were forgettable.)  So I don't see the Daniel Craig films as any better or worse than the rest of the franchise which already hits every point of the bell curve.

With Bond, I don't expect Citizen Kane.  I just want a fairly straightforward espionage plot with lots of cool action sequences, nifty gadgets, a sweet car, and hot chicks.  Basically, I want a dude-flick that's a bit more highbrow than a dudebro-flick.  Basically, a martini shaken-not-stirred rather than a Budweiser tall-boy.

As a Bond aficionadio (I've seen very single one, most more than once). I disagree with you on several of these films. Moonraker is one of the better Bond films and Octopussy is one of the worst lol. Craig already has 2 of the best in the entire franchise to date in Casino Royale and Skyfall. I see so many people say Skyfall is overrated, but for a hardcore fan like myself it was amazing. So many nods and throwbacks to the series and a great way to reboot classic characters. I loved it. Most of the forgettable Bond films were late Connery era and late Moore era. (there are exceptions obviously lol). I do disagree with you that Craigs Bond films have been per quota. Casino Royale basically threw everything out the door and was something fresh and new for the series. Sure you still have the globetrotting and evil villains etc, but he fell in love for only the second time in the franchise and the story wasn't all about saving the world from lasers or other crazy stuff. Tomorrow Never Dies was definitely the worst of the Brosnan era in my opinion. Completely forgettable and bland.

There's very rarely pop-in on the PS4 version. Only maybe once has a tree or something not loaded when I'm walking, but have had zero issues with faces and weapons not loading. I'm sure they had to restrict things a little more on the PS3 to get it on the system because the PS4 version is pretty gorgeous and I've had zero framerate problems. I've played for about 60 hours.

I am astonished at how HUGE the Hinterlands are in DA: Inquisition. This one area is like the entire map of Origins!
I've gotten way too sidetracked doing all sorts of quests here instead of moving the story forward.
I saw my first dragon, and promptly turned around so I didn't get my ass handed to me. Damn thing is huge and very imposing. Awesome.

I couldn't beat that dragon until about level 12 or so, but yeah I high tailed it out of there the first time I saw it as well lol.

I'm already totally addicted to Inquisition. It's just so fun to play. I've played about 10 hours already, which is a lot for me in a weeks time. This is the perfect game for a gardener heading into Winter "Can't play in my garden" Depression. I make light of it, but I seriously do get a form of seasonal affective disorder. Distractions are incredibly important. A game like this, with so much to do, is perfect.
I'm totally addicted to it as well. I usually never stay up past 11-12 at night and I've been consistently staying up till 2-3 not realizing it because I'm having so much fun. I sure do feel tired the next day though haha. I've played for 40 hours already.
Yowza! In a weeks time?! Damn, dude, go to bed. haha. I understand, though. I'd be up late, too, if I didn't have to get up at 5:15. Stupid work getting in the way of quality gaming time.

Yeah I don't have to go to work until noon every day haha. I don't get off work until 8 PM though.

Rachel Getting Married made me cry... so depressing. Trying to think of others and drawing a blank, but I know there's more.
