Finally finished grinding yesterday. x_x Well maybe not finished since I have yet to level grind Eidolans, max out spells, or such, but I don't need to do anymore training. Quickly got through chapters 5 and 6.

Code:
I beat the bosses at the end of both missions....I never got to see Bahamut Zero as a result. Going to have to go through 5 again and intentionally lose to see what happens.

Definitely do!
Code:
Bahamut Zero absolutely obliterates her with Giga Flare haha.

Whee, I have over 500k SPP. I think I am going to grind out 1 million just for the heck of it. Also it is a good way to work towards getting 500 hours. But first, Killsight grinding with everyone!

Side note, the SP Crystal is amazing!

Just got to chapter 6, I didn't realize at the end of chapter 5
Code:
that dying was basically the requirement for continuing. I rage quit to the menu twice because the dragon was killing my characters in one hit and I thought the difficulty spike was absolutely ridiculous, but then some lady that I can't remember her name comes and summons Bahamut Zero after you lay there dead for so long. Only reason I laid there for awhile was because I was in disbelief at how a boss was this powerful and that they expected me to kill it (without abusing special training and getting to 99 easy, which I have not done. I'm in the 30's right now) Suffice to say I was excited that I got to continue the game haha.
Well that is going to be annoying. Also...
Code:
I am betting the woman's name was Tiz. Because I know Tiz is a woman in the game and she has yet to be introduced yet where I am in the game.

About that...
Code:
It happens again at the end of Chapter 6. Gilgamesh shows up on the big bridge (it's literally called the big bridge lol) with his theme in tow for a huge FFV throwback and destroyed me. He was also killing everyone in one hit, although I did damage him some and he is beatable if you are high enough level. I was only mid 30's and he is level 50. He killed all my characters and the game still continued without showing what happens with him at all, which is weird. Never seen a game let you die on purpose so much.

Anybody else think the trophies in this game are way easy? I'm only in chapter 5 on my first playthrough and have 72% of the trophies already.

They don't want to discuss when it is coming to PS4 apparently. Just said it'll happen and be patient. It's like a slap in the face honestly. As part of the agreement with Microsoft they cannot discuss how long it is timed exclusive. Fuck you Microsoft lol.

I actually love the game despite its flaws. One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard and I actually really enjoyed the story. As for most people not disliking it, this is the one FF that I always find people bashing on... more so than FFXIII because people actually played FFVIII lol.

Shoutout to the Compression of Time which is so strange yet so sad sounding.  Blue Fields as well for being rather calm and similarly brings out a feeling of poignancy in me.

I also find the beloved opening sequence another ambivalent topic with me that straddles between beautiful and incredibly kitschy looking full of pseudo-wannabe-artsy effects (when the rest of the FMVs do much better, mostly because they don't try so hard).

"Whiiiiee!!" - Characters, probably

I love Blue Fields! The songs that I always listen to are Balamb Garden, The Man With the Machine Gun, I'm a Lion, and the underrated final castle song :)

I've been pissed since last night that they didn't include PS4. It's bullshit, but whatever. I guess they don't want my money.

Great Maker, Solas really hates my guts in Inquisition.
O.o I will never understand how it is possible to get Solas to hate you. He hated almost every story choice I made in the game, and he still considered me his best buddy.

Haha this same thing happened with me. He hated every decision I made, but was still like best friends with me.

See, I always like playing the tough nut bruisers, so my favorite character in Type-0 is Cinque. She can take quite a few hits and takes down most scrubs in a single hit.
You should use nine. He moves slower than poop unless you dodge, and hebhits stupidly hard.

I'm using Jack. He moves ridiculously slow unless you dodge, but he kills like everything in one hit and has counter.

Like you guys have said, the small font is ridiculous. Even the HP numbers at the bottom right are too small. They need to be bigger. I died a couple times because I couldn't tell what it said and it's in a weird spot.

Been playing Type 0 HD. At first I was hesitant because there's SO much crap they throw at you as soon as you start it is overwhelming. After literally just walking around and talking to people for a couple hours I know what I'm doing and the game has been pretty enjoyable, but this is dense stuff. The story is still all over the place, but the combat system is fun when the camera and lock on isn't ruining it. I'm finally starting to have fun, so hopefully it keeps up. Just started chapter 3.

The ONLY reason I'd say you should finish it is because the finale is absurdly awesome. And also because from what I understand, this scenario won't actually be in the full game!

Well, you convinced me. Gotta finish this tonight after work now haha. Thanks for the info!

I liked what I played of the demo, but I didn't finish it. I liked the voice acting so far and the graphics are great. The problems mentioned in the hands on preview for the site are pretty spot on. Camera goes crazy sometimes and needs fixed and they need to speed up some stuff. Other than that though, I came away pretty impressed and hyped up. I kind of don't want to finish it just so I experience this segment in the game the way it was intended on the final release. Sounds weird, but I always do this with demos. I hardly every finish them. I just use them to get a good feel for a game then quit.
45  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: The movie was better than the book. wut? on: March 12, 2015, 09:51:03 AM
The Hunger Games is a solid choice, but only the first one in my opinion. I liked Catching Fire as a book more and the new Mockinjay film was disappointing. Just a 2 hour tease for part 2. They never should have split them.

As for my pick, most of the Harry Potter stories were better as books, but the one I thought was a better movie than book was The Order of the Phoenix. That book was bloated and boring for half. The movie is fast paced, exciting, and cuts all the fat.
