I feel like we're getting trolled here.  The original source is in Spanish and they give a 'translated quote' (with no mention of who translated it):

While here is the original Spanish:

Type-0, como debes saber, se lanzó en Japón el mes pasado, así que está terminado. Versus no ha salido aún en Japón, pero el pasado enero hubo un tráiler. No hay nada confirmado todavía para europa. En cuanto terminemos todo será el momento de que me siente y me plantee el siguiente paso.

That translates to:

Type-0, as you know, has been released in Japan last month, so it's done. Versus isn't out in Japan yet, but last January we had a trailer. There's still nothing confirmed for Europe. When we're done with everything I'll sit down and think about our next step.

Really? How is it any different from bringing nintendo characters into a fighting game? Did Princess Peach or the ice climbers strike you as good characters for a fighting game? Kratos fit like a glove into mortal kombat and Cole is looking just as good in SFxT, it works if people know what they're doing. It obviously wont be as cartoony as Smash Bros, what they have in common is mixing lots of characters from different games.
"Hanging from ledges"... lol, I suspect he will be punching and kicking other characters because that's what you do in a fighting game but what do I know.

Strange. My game didn't say there was a new patch when I turned it on just now.

Europe only apparently.

I'm terrified of installing it.  My save file is 19MB and my FPS gets so low that I take one step every 5-10 seconds during more exciting events (the civil war battles were pretty much a slide show).  I feel like it just might be the last thing that breaks my character.

It will most likely fiix your problem.

I played yesterday after installing the patch and didn't see any difference in the AI, I went through several areas and saw the exact same patterns and behaviours. Even the gltch in the forest where you can make the those guys from the covenant commit suicide still works like a charm.

The game saw a 74% drop in its second week in the UK and still managed to outsell ACR which launched that week. This is absolutely insane.

Already started my crushing playthrough, feels so good to have the normal aiming back. Motion blur implementation is just as nice as in UC2.
Cheats might be harder though, they said that changing skins was causing technical issues that they couldn't get around.

This isn't related to the patch but on crushing there aren't any button prompts during melee fights, you have to pay attention to the enemies' animations to time your counterattacks. It should be like this in all difficulties, this way people would stop calling it QTE which it obviously isn't, it's just to make things easier.

Played some co-op and noticed another cool new detail that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, you can hear the guys with the gas masks breathing, with a 5.1/7.1 setup you can tell where they're coming from and when they grap you it's like they're breathing down your neck.

Patch is live.

There's an option in the menu to change the aiming to UC2 style (it's not default)
Motion blur has been enabled.
Cutscene viewer is in.
Also lot's of tweaks to MP.

They were too busy creating the world, it's so fucking huge. It's still a fantastic game but if you look at it objectively this, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and NV are pretty much the same template with a different skin. I found Fallout 3's world to be more interesting though.

You killed the dragon even knowing it's Saskia? (you never find out on Roche's path) You have no heart.
As for Sile, it's pretty obvious, you have to wait untill she explodes instead of removing the crystal to save her.

Go for Roche's path as soon as you can, it's just as awesome and chapter 2 is completely different, it really changes the game. I can't wait for TW3, 90% of the characters live or die according to your will, there are so many ways to change the story, it will be amazing to see how all the choices play out.

Eh, my final thoughts:
Skyrim is a game where its parts are greater than its sum. There are moments where the game hits the place it should be at: A blend of story, narrative, and gameplay blended together in this wonderful open world experience. Unfortunately, the game fails to stay consistent with those positive experiences. The quests and dungeons are cut-and-paste, not only in graphics and enemies, but in overall design.

There should be more variety.

The entirety of the Dark Brotherhood quest-line should not simply be 'hunt and kill x y z.' There should be some choice to it. Remember 'whodunnit' and the 'purging' from Oblivion? There needed to be more parts like that in Skyrim.

The biggest culprit is the main theme of the game, the civil war, which barely scratches the surface of what it could have been. Why not let the war matter more?  Imagine if your alignment have an affect on the way the world treated you, from NPCs to quests. The negotiating table during the main quest was an impressive part of the game - except that none of it really mattered in the end. The war dynamic could have been so innovative, and much more so than a simple swapping of a Jarl and housecarl.

There needs to be more to the game than walking through linear dungeons while killing enemies. There needs to be more to the quests than fetching items in said dungeons. The Elder Scrolls needs to be more intelligent than this.

That's why bigger isn't always better which is where I'm coming from with the witcher comparison. Though the game gives you a lot of freedom and has the player's choices matter more than in any other videogame ever, it is designed in a way that allows for consistent pacing throughout the game. With the game being broken into chapters, there's only so much you can do before you need to return to the main story to move things forward, this way the developers make sure that you don't spend dozens of hours away from the main quest, breaking the pace of the plot. Combine this with a great story and memorable characters and you have perfection.

EDIT: A nuance; but does anyone get annoyed with the ages of some of these characters?  FFX and XIII made characters look a lot older than they are, IMO.  Wakka is 24 when he looks 30-something.  Hell, even Lightning looks 5 years older than she actually is; she looks late-20's than early 20's...

I'd rather have characters that look older than they are supposed to be than have characters look like children when the game tells me they're supposed to be 20.
