Beat Wild Arms 5 this morning. Dean and Carol were very annoying, some of the puzzles were irritating, the placement of save points was awful, and the one-on-one boss fights were difficult without a guide, but I don't regret playing.

Still working on Valkyria Chronicles III, where I'm on Chapter 12 and have only lost one battle I had to win within six turns (but I beat it my second try with plenty turns to spare), and I'm on around Chapter 3 in Disgaea 4, where I've gone through the Item World for a bit of grinding.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited - Am enjoying it thus far and am about an hour in.

Valkyria Chronicles III: Unrecorded Chronicles Extra Edition - Am in Chapter 9 and have managed to get through missions without going overboard against the enemies.

Wild Arms 5 - Still doing the towers and have adopted a successful strategy against the bosses, in addition to finding enemies from which I can steal Full Revives.

Finished the Sword of Truth and Richard and Kahlan novels and largely enjoyed them. Currently working on the Spellsinger books by Alan Dean Foster, and will likely go through the Wheel of Time books again.

Episode I - Decent although battles suffer from annoying randomization of enemy boosts and often-drawn-out battles with unskippable skill animations.

Episode II - Thought it was an okay step in the right direction, but battles also tend to drag out.

Episode III - The best of the trilogy with a much quicker pace to combat.

I really hated, though, how they totally half-assed the turn order meter in combat, making it run out of icons and refilling frequently instead of showing you well ahead which ally/enemy will go when.

Beat Dragon Quest iOS, and don't regret purchasing/playing it.

Still working on Valkyria Chronicles III, am on Chapter 7, and haven't had too many problems.

Also Wild Arms 5, where I have to tackle the towers. I need to steal some Revive Fruit from enemies since I ran out before dying in a battle on the top of one of the towers, and have tried going to another to grind and try its own bosses.

I've been working on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and am currently in between the main series and the Richard and Kahlan novels with The Law of Nines. I've had reading difficulties due to some mental issues, although I've found a solution where I up the font size on my iPad's Kindle app so I'm not tempted to skim through small text and miss things, and while it's really slowed my reading pace, I have been absorbing stories better than usual.

Dragon Quest - I've died about three times and have been gradually upgrading my equipment, and have been exploring the cave west of Tantagel.

Valkyria Chronicles III: Unrecorded Chronicles Extra Edition - My computer controller's on the fritz, so I had to use the keyboard for control and beat an extra escort battle in Chapter 5.

Wild Arms 5 - I fought the enemies at Greg's hometown and donated some items and money for restoration.

Der Jermanismus,

Any idea if patched VC3 is playable on a VitaTV?

Not really sure since I'm playing it on my PC with PPSSPP.

Beat Trails in the Sky First Chapter this afternoon. Sort of jumped the shark given the drawn-out final boss fights without save opportunities in between (I live in a place where blackouts and brownouts aren't uncommon) and the game leaving me wondering where the hell to go in town after the last battles, but I don't regret playing.

Was getting constantly OHKO'd by enemies in Wild Arms 5 until I figured out that assigning graph points or whatever to upper-level skills reduced my characters' HP. I'm also having a bit of trouble with the boss of the gobs' hideout ("Boss Olivier"...really), and am trying to conserve my healing items such as Revive Fruits until I find a tree on the overworld where they grow (I really love how the in-game world map doesn't freaking show where the trees are when you find them, unless I'm mistaken) or get more, while doing a bit of grinding as well.

Pretty much enjoying the hell out of Valkyria Chronicles III and haven't had any major problems.

I've seen from some English screenshots on the web that the iOS DQ1 still has Ye Olde Butchered English, but I do hope the translation has been somewhat modernized.

I would advise saving all stat and experience-increasing items for the absolute final boss fight of the main storyline (when you can access the menus), since Alicia's level goes down then and can't be increased by other means.

Shining Force is definitely one of my more favorite strategy RPG series, despite the potential for unbalanced leveling.

As for what I'm working on, I'm in the last dungeon of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky First Chapter Steam, just starting the fan translation of Valkyria Chronicles 3 (I thought the first game was somewhat flawed but liked the sequel much better), which is just as good as the second game thus far, and I'm working on Wild Arms 5, in the dungeon after the television studio and its puzzles, close to the dungeon's (hillariously-named) Sol Niger.

Personally, I feel all the original .hack games could have been one title, and I didn't like how the game merely tells players what happens outside the gaming world rather than showing what happens.
