Final Fantasy VI (iOS) - On the Overworld, have to go through Mt. Kolts. I somewhat prefer the new character sprite designs since in the original versions the soldiers for instance looked like they had eyes on their helmets.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX - Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix - Hollow Bastion: Merlin's House, have another episode here. The Timeless River was definitely a pretty world.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth - Persona 3 Cast - Evil Spirit Club Final Story, did some requests, and am just before the boss of the latest labyrinth. Had to search online for help on how to do the puzzles in previous floors.

Ys: Memories of Celceta - I beat it this evening and will review eventually. I can say that I definitely had a blast.

Saw the third Hobbit movie this afternoon, which I enjoyed despite being somewhat miffed at Jackson for expanding the prequel novel while somewhat compressing, especially the third book, the main Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Finished the Lord of the Rings book today and was generally satisfied with them in spite of the author's specism towards beings such as the orcs, and am miffed at the different direction the film version of Return of the King took.

Some also complain about the "plot hole" of the eagles potentially taking Frodo and Sam to Mount Doom, but my theory is...

Code:
That the Eagles could have probably been corrupted by the One Ring, the Nazgul would take flight and interfere with the Eagles' flight, and if Frodo and Sam bypassed the recruiment of Gollum to their quest, the One Ring wouldn't have been destroyed, since Frodo wouldn't have willingly let it drop into the fires of Mount Doom, Gollum being critical to the Ring's destruction in the end.

I've gotten pretty decent value out of my Vita, even if most of the games I played have been ports, such as Disgaea 3 & 4, Persona 4 Golden, and so on.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (KH 2.5) - An hour into Roxas's story, and I feel they could have certainly shortened the prologue.

Persona Q - I finally started playing with the volume muted. Haven't done that with a game since EarthBound, though its music has since grown on me somewhat.

SaGa 2 DS - Beat it since I got lucky against the last boss with a Muse coming in to fully restore my party, but it's still better than the Frontier games.

Ys: Memories of Celceta - Still having a blast with this, and have crossed the big river.

I beat Saga 2 DS today, sort of getting lucky on the final boss when one of the goddesses fully restored my party. Definitely better than the Frontier games in that it keeps points of no return to a minimum, although I had to grind/do sidequests such as the arena for 10-15 hours before I could beat the game.

I've started playing this with the volume muted, since some idiot at Atlus thought it would be cute to not completely silence the voices when they're officially turned "Off". I don't need some moron telling me that their attack missed, that they leveled up, that someone's dead, and so on. I know some people can tolerate that crap, but I can't.

Reread The Hobbit in anticipation of the new movie in the trilogy, and definitely enjoyed it, though given my reading time of between one and two hours, they could have easily gotten away with just one film adaptation of the book, though they do use the appendices from the end of Return of the King to expand the prequel novel, so I've heard. I'm somewhat disappointed that The Hobbit received expanded film adaptation while major things were cut out of the film adaptations of the main LotR books, especially most of the second half of the book version of Return of the King, and changes such as the encounter with Shelob the spider occurring at the start of the RotK adaptation when in the books it happened towards the end of The Two Towers. Still somewhat prefer The Hobbit to the main LotR books, but the main trilogy definitely has its high points.

I definitely prefer Reverse/Rebirth to the main story of CoM.

I don't care much for the SaGa games although I enjoyed the WonderSwan Color remake of the first game and have been liking the DS remake of SaGa 2, although I've had to do a fair bit of grinding for the final battles.

I'm more than halfway through the Redwall series, having finished the final prequel, Lord Brocktree, and I'm enjoying it aside from the author's stereotyping of specific species as completely good or completely bad.

I don't really equate easy with boring, and more associate difficulty with frustration and pain and suffering. I have heard Bayonetta has mid-boss checkpoints, definitely a good anti-frustration feature.

I didn't care much for Chrono Cross's battle theme, unfortunately the most common track in the game, but the rest is enjoyable.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth - My progress has been somewhat sluggish, and I'm at floor three of the Group Date Cafe. It would have really, really helped if the translators didn't have characters address the chosen protagonist as "leader," maybe something else such as "sensei" would have sounded better. Thumbs down, for certain, but the game's not a total write-off, since the gameplay is reasonably engaging and strategic.

Saga 2 Hihou Densetsu: Goddess of Destiny - I'm still doing a fair amount of grinding for the final boss, and have messed around with different forms for my monster, and I did get somewhat far at one point against the last boss with my human protagonist as a healer, since I've gotten his spirit stat high.

Ys: Memories of Celceta - I'm only an hour in and have defeated the boss of the first dungeon. More than one of my top five RPGs are in this particular series, and so far I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

Beat Milla's side of Tales of Xillia and will write a review this evening, having finished Jude's side as well. Definitely impressed with the game aside from some parts with occasional vague direction on how to advance (I had to Google to find the "girl in red" in one of the towns, having spent between half and a full hour looking for her) and a frustrating fight on Milla's side.
